TRANSLATION OF THE SONG:
We are the Red Cavalry
And about us
Eloquent chroniclers
Lead their story -
How on clear nights
How on rainy days
We proudly and boldly go into battles!
Chorus:
Budyonny, lead us boldly into the battle!
Let the thunder rumble
Let there be fire around, fire all around.
We are all selfless heroes
And our whole life is a struggle!
Budyonny is our brother
All the people are with us.
Order - Do not lower heads
And look ahead!
After all, Voroshilov is with us -
The first Red Officer,
We'll be able to shed blood for the USSR!
Chorus (x2)

Loved it! The Red Army Choir always sound so invincible, especially when singing military songs and there is a wonderful quality to their voices at all times which is not only melodious, but very inspiring as well.
It's that wonderful sense of pride and momentum, making them sound unstoppable. As someone here said, they sing with conviction.
Because they were invincible!! The red army saved us from Nazi Germany.
Indeed, the revolution is still alive in our hearts
Sincerely..
Most beautiful choirs ever
The song is fast like cavalary divisions...

it truly is a shame this isnt as well known in the west, its Amazing

GRAZIE MILLE. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
The energy is awesome it really hypes me up the great work by the choir truly gifted no haters the Golden Era :)
What a great song..Love the lyrics. Life is a struggle, but how your persevere shows your character.😘
Red army choir is the best choir I have ever listened to in my whole life
Love red army choir❤️
Beautiful song, sung with pride. The Red Army Choir has much to sing about. The heroic campaigns of the Red Army are second to none.
"Heroic" like they had the choice to be heroes. Stalin sent hundreds of thousands of soviet sons and daughters because he didn't care about intelligent strategy. As long as we have the greater numbers we can keep sending them to the front lines until Germany runs out of supplies
amazing as always, Misha!
Thank you!! 😊
This one really gets the head nodding and the feet tapping.
Oh I love this song, but I forgot it's name, but luckily here you are yet again bringing my favorite songs! Thank you very much Mikhail!

Epic lyric about Semyon Budyonny and Kliment Voroshilov! this is the most favorite song about civil war.
But I wonder this song was composed in 1920, and there was RSFSR and others not 'USSR'...
but the word(Сумеем кровь пролить за СССР!') is in the lyric.
It is very interesting because the 'Soviet Union' created in 1922.
perhaps only two Pokrass know the why...
That's a very good question, Anelace! I was waiting for someone to ask this question... And the answer is very simple. Of course the lyrics were changed presumably in 1922-1924. Unfortunately nobody could find the original initial lyrics, which were lost in history. So we can only guess and I think that the word was РСФСР instead СССР there or something close to it. That's it.
Dont they just say SSR? It can just meen "spill blood for the socialist soviet republic"
Brilliant!
Love this song ever since hearing the Naxos recording in the 1990s. One of my favourite Russian songs. Finally located sheet music for it last year - and now I enjoy playing it on my bass clarinet, thundering it through our house.
Hermosa música saludos de México
This makes me feel that, if I hear this in battle, I know I'm gonna lose. Now, if it's fought with guns or with dance, I do not know.
Edit: this is assuming I'm not the one that is playing the song.
Meraviglia ❤️
i like the song
Yeah
It's better if you play it in 1.25×
The year this song was made is 1949 - After full consolidation of PRC they were quick to distance themselves from Comintern and forming their own communist block of sorts. Interesting to note that Soviets and Chinese went war over their border under Brezhnev
In general, this song appeared in 1920 - during the Civil War.
And it acquired its current form (meaning the current version of the lyrics) in 1923.
RED CAVALRY EPIC
this song had 3 dislikes, 333 likes, and 3,333 views... before I watched it,,
Wow! The mystics of numbers...
Very good I would like to ask two questions. First those singers are real military men. Second, why don't women sing. Are there no military women? Thanks.
What do you mean by the "real military men"? They all served in the army, most of them took part in WW2, Alexandrov Ensemble always was and still is a military unit. But the choir members were artists in the first place and singing was all they did in the entity. 2) The choir was established after the Russian civil war and initially it was a male choir. There were no women in the army then so to say.
CCCP!
Nikogda ne slyshalne64
The only thing they have going for them is their handsome
