Hi Very interesting video - thanks! Albeit I didn't understand half of the technical information! I did catch at the end your fix for the faulty CV joint assembly at the passenger side and would like you to explain this problem further and how us non-mechanical types can get this fixed. I have just bought a 2000 Chevy Tracker 2 dr with hardtop (looking for a soft top) 2.0l Auto 4x4. I intend to use on logging roads but nothing too technical, so would like to keep as stock as possible. I would appreciate your modifications recommendations needed for this use - thanks!
+Redsky hello, congrats on your purchase. 2 inch spacer lift with extended shocks. wouldn't hurt and they are fairly inexpensive and 235x75r15 tires would accommodate the lift nicely, might even be able to fit 30's as for the cv issue I think you are referring to, the front differential has no support for the passenger side stub shaft of the cv. There is no bushing or bearing in the right side of the diff. Therefore the cv rides on the diff seal and the side gear of the carrier. This is not good because the side gear in the carrier will eventually get slop and the cv will destroy the axle seal and you will develope an oil leak. Our trackers come equipped with drive flanges instead of lock out hubs so the axles spin constantly and create wear. Easiest way to remedy this, is to either buy or machine a nylon bushing for the cv to ride on in the diff or swap out the drive flanges for lock out hubs or both. Hope that helps, devon

I just put a Jeff's 2" spacer kit on my Vitara and noticed the rear axle is shifted to the passenger side a bit. Did you install a panhard/ track bar drop bracket?
I used to run a relocation bracket.. but found that it didn't make much of a difference for me. I have heard of some people needing them and others not..
Hey I was just wondering about the exhaust and intake and if you notice a difference in power much. I have the exact same model of tracker with the 1.6 engine. And I was wanting to keep my exhaust legal so I was thinking of going with an electronic exhaust cut out. But I'm not to sure if it would not benefit my car because I'm not sure how much back pressure I need.
+Konrad Bath I maybe noticed a little difference in power, not much... it does sound a lot better and with the intake, it removed a lot of junk in the engine bay and easier to see if the air filter needs cleaned
MrSputnik1988 so I'm wanting to do a lift on my little 1.6. And I was told the 4 door trackers have longer springs and can give it lift with out the cool spacers about 2" from what I heard. Just wondering if you heard of this and if that's true. Also wondering do I need longer struts in the front and what could I use for struts in the rear for lift. I'm looking for the cheapest way to do so. And also do you have an Instagram account. I could use that for pm with all my questions.
+Konrad Bath 99+ 4 door springs will give between 1 and 2 inches of lift when installed in a 98 and below 2 door. If your "little 1.6" is a 1st gen, then you can flip your strut mount to mimic a longer shock. Not sure of the year, but mustang shocks are good replacements for the rear when lifted. Seems like you have a lot of space for a bigger tire. I know everyone says 235/75r15 are the max, but the gaps say different. Was it an issue with frame rubbing on the taller tire or you just never tried?
Hello. I have a 2003 Chevrolet tracker zr2 and wanted to know how was your experience with coil spacers and wheel spacers. I want to lift my tracker but I don't want to spend 800 dollars on a lift so I didn't know what material to get or to even bother with them. Also with wheel spacers did you experience any problems with them? Greatly appreciated.
+Kyler Caster I had a very good experience with them. I have since gotten aftermarket rims and went to Ome coils, but not because anything negative happened. As far as coil spacers, you will want the poly ones. You will have to get 2 sets of camber bolts to correct the front end. If it's a 2 door, you will need a driveshaft spacer. A Panhard bar relocation bracket is not necessary. 2 inch longer shocks in the rear are needed. Wheel spacers will keep tire rub on the frame at bay if you are going to 235's or taller. I never had a failure, just make sure to torque and lock tight them. Wheel spacers will lesson the life of your wheel bearings though. I went with 1.25inch spacers and was happy with the look. 2 inch will put a lot of strain and leverage on your front end components Hope that helped
I have a 2000 Tracker 2 Door 4x4 and I'm very interested in your Mods. But the sound on this video sucks. Could you put in subtitles or narrate the video? Thanks.
Tracker looks good!
Bad AZZ Tracker…and a great Video

All you need is Big Hole For wheel simple
Them putting that dif pump in the bumper was stupid. I took mine out and remounted it up next to the airbox and just had to extend the hoses.
What’s your approach angle since you removed the front bumper

I measured it and it is only a 1/4 inch to the passenger side. I probably won't worry about it.

Or if you have any advice at all that would be awesome as well

+MrSputnik1988 ok thank you so much. I will look into those things and if I have anymore questions I will let you know.
I know this is an older video, but what did you use for the dtiveshaft spacer, and the manual hubs?
+Jeffrey Bey Hey, hubs are warn premium #34581
The driveshaft spacer is a 1/2 inch lowrangeoffroad spacer
MrSputnik1988 Wow that was fast! Thanks.
+Jeffrey Bey your welcome
How did you wire in the light bar?
Wired through a relay and a toggle switch.. power through the relay to the light bar comes from switched power from the ignition
