I am dead. Dylan and my favourite group this year in one video . Love it. Also dylan i didnt like dalla dalla at first .. but i really suggest you give both songs a chance and listen to it 2 times at least. You will definitely love it.
So my hot take is that Itzy's best song is Want It, the B-Side from the Dalla Dalla single. I don't know how they're gonna go on tour unless they drop a full album early next year, or two mini albums before they go, or they'll be touring with only four original songs... but still, it's great that JYP is getting more and more international exposure with Twice, Stray Kids and Got7 all having made US appearances this year; Stray Kids and Got7 are going to/have just been in London too, which is awesome. Still, I feel like they're a group that wouldn't have had quite the same success if they were from a smaller company, even if they released the same music, similar to how I feel about TxT for example. I haven't been as awed by Itzy or Everglow or other rookie girl groups (let's hope Cherry Bullet keep going) quite the same as others seemingly have been, which is a shame since I'm definitely a gg stan. (G)I-DLE are the most recent debut that I truly love. Hinapia definitely have a lot of promise, and there's plenty of other groups like Bvndit, Rocket Punch that debuted this year as well as the continued growth of year-old groups like GWSN. There's definitely a bright future for girl groups - and SM is debuting both a new girl group and boy group next year. Still, there's a lot of talent in Itzy and a lot to come from them, I think. Yeji is my bias for sure. I definitely can see them dropping songs in the future that I absolutely love and I'll start to consider myself a fan.

I thought that both songs were chaotic, messy monstrosities at first and that is coming from someone who rarely actually hates songs. I wrote Itzy off as not my style at all, but there are certain lines though that get stuck in your head like the "Icyyy but i'm on fire" and eventually I don't know what happened but I started loving them, especially Icy. Guess it is definition of a grower. I can't wait to see if it happens with their next song too lol

In THE FAN YeJi, she recieved the nickname "Secret weapon of JYP" by both the company and the K-Pop world and that's when she became my bias, after she got eliminated the plans of debuting a new group were confirmed since all the members were decided. JYP did an excellent job by letting the girls show their potential to the public eye first and then debuting them, it's such a great strategy for me.
