Zodd and skull knight are the parents guts wishes he would've listened to.....hmmm somehow they just seem to know this situation is weird maybe I should do research 😕.
Translation : "Heheh, build a guy up and break him down completely and get him to kill his buddies. Oldest trick in the book. Good luck, nigga." Guts : "Does he mean me?"
I just noticed after all these years that Zodd said he saw this 'double edged sword ploy before". I wish Berserk manga don't have long hiatus so we can find out exactly what Zodd meant by that.
Same! My guess is he is refering to one of the other Godhand members. It seems regular belets are somewhat common so I doubt hes talking about a regular human turned demon. That would be an ordinary even for him. Zod was always portrayed as a little more than just a strong demon. His backstory must be complex and integral to the story. We may never know but I suspect he was part of the eclipse with gaiseric and Void
@@ImCaveJohnson Yeah, I mean, double edge means the action will cause both positive and negative. I guess we have seen that in the recent chapters where the people seems to live in peace in Falconia while at the same time everyone else outside it lives in fear. But the way Zodd said it is more sinister than that. Something big is going to happen.

Zodd has lived for thousands of years. He's undoubtedly seen an eclipse before. He's referring to the Egg of the King symbolizing the behelit of a God Hand. Safe to assume that he's seen a God Hand incarnation before.
@@slicktheslickguy587 I’m not sure Zodd is over 1000 years old and being that Zodd resides below the shadows of the godhand bringing its will in the form of his astral self through murder & chaos it’s safe to assume he was referring to a resolve to an ends. Most likely the 4 members before Femto he saw get inducted within the God hand the same way Femto did and now remembers the eclipse will happen again completing the hand (5 Fingers).

No. Just watch this anime from start to finish. But If you don’t mind spoilers then Griffith sold out his companions and friends just to achieve his childhood dream of wanting to have Batman suit. And revenge Guts for leaving band of hawk. Sorry I had to. Loll. It’s because
What is the double edge ploy he's seen before? If Griffith fails as a god hand then guts can replace him? Or is it like the dichotomy between void and skull Knight?
Yeah. Very ambitious guy might destroy themselves first then, drag you along too. Failure after tons of hard work can lead to Despair atleast for someone who's very ambitious would have put in alot of work. Some will change their ways and seek another goal without hurting you.
Because 1. He saw the crimson behilit that Griffith was wearing and instantly realized he’s destined to be one of the Godhand who are literally the leading figures of the apostles. I doubt it would be in his favor to against the plans of the Godhand. 2. He’s clearly seen eclipses for previous Godhand members given how long he lived so he knew that once Griffith was at his lowest point, it would mean that everyone close to him would end up dying in the eclipse including Guts. Killing them now would be pointless because now he knows where fate is leading them all.
@yungdraco2correct, but to be a nerd nazi here, Griffith wouldn’t be an apostle. He would become part of the god hand. The apostles are basically the god hand’s toys

guts should have listened to zodd
You'd imagine it would be quite hard to process a literal demon's speech when he just kick you and your best friend's a*ses.
He should've took heed like what Skull Knight would say
And bail for real
well nobody knew it was going to be that serious
Then again, he did say "you can never escape your fate", which means Guts doesn't have much of a choice.

Memorial edition made this scene amazing actually. They left a few things out but overall they did a amazing job with memorial edition.
Such a good English voice cast, especially for the 90s.

why?
The egg would end up in Griffiths hands anyway. It was in the sewers and it ended up with him again.
