I drove ivt i20 last week, avlo rubber band effect illai with single passenger + driver weight, maybe half second lag at worst, 80 kmph varuki problem illai, best car for city driving like Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mumbai etc

I just bought this on Mar 2023, as you said my daily usage is 50km in city. In a month i will take 15 days drive in city roads. Monthly once will take this car on 200km highway.

I test drove the 2024 models of i20 IVT and Baleno AMT.
i20 was far better. IVT was smooth. Pedals were much better. Steering and brake were more accurate. Better seats, better sound system.

Hyundai should give this iVT option for Venue 1.2L S or S(O) variant
I took new i20 IVT to Munnar and Many long trips and feel best only . I used to drive in D mode only only sometime used S Mode
I also own the same . but didn't tried s mode. What is the benefit from S mode?
@@Myworld8354 if we put in S mode , in highway we won’t feel noise and car will drive smoothly compared to D mode. Madurai to Munnar up and down trip with complete S mode

Also there is a serious problem in i20. One of my friend's new automatic car speed reduced while riding and not raising more than 20 km on the highway. Scary that too in a new vehicle. Understand there is ECM issue. Hyundai road assistance called and changed it. Worth 50000/-. While searching understands it is one of the common issue in i20 especially automatic.
Please research it and explain to the users sir.

Hi moto wagon team. I own the same model for the past 4 months and drove around 5k kms. I live in chennai and I bought this to drive only in the city and for highways i have a bigger car. But the main problem is the MILEAGE. I just get around 8kmpl and 9 is the maximum i got. Which makes me extremely frustrating. I understand petrol vehicles give lesser mileage compared to diesel but this is unbearable as it doesn't have much performance. MILEAGE IS A VERY PROBLEM IN THIS PARTICULAR MODEL OF HYUNDAI I20.
In Chennai City traffic, most of the 1.2l automatics could give around 10kmpl only, take your car to a smooth high way drive drive it for around 200 km and check out the mileage, that's what the mileage you need to concern. If that is satisfying then your car doesn't have mileage problem. Diesel manual would give more mileage in the city traffic too
@@lonerider6945 yeah i tried that. With avg speed maintaining between 90 to 100 iam getting 12 to 13kmpl as mileage but the main problem is while driving in city iam not even getting 10kmpl. That is my concern.
I too exactly getting the same mileage as you said in city as well as highway... That's the maximum we can expect from this model

automatic give you more easiness in driving but you need to adjust the mileage problem only in high traffic cities
@motowagon Baleno reverted from its not so good looking 3 dot led DRL in 2022 to a strap like led which is the best looking one. It came from the legendary model 2019/ 2016 model 😁

No comparison. i20 is far better with its refined 4 cylinder engine and smooth IVT gearbox. Altroz's 3 cylinder engine is shit. Pair it with that poorly tuned DCT gearbox, it's a nightmare to drive in stop and go traffic. Not to mention the unreliability of Tata.

The Bill of materials varies, hence the price difference, as these boxes are use and throw, as they are designed to last 10 years and have limited scope of fixing it.

a.) if the battery is down can we manually push start the car ?
b.) if the car got breakdown in mid of road, can I put the gear in neutral and push the car to side of the road..

I own the same model (IVT) for the last 6 months
1. Performance: Good, even with 5 people
2. Gearbox comes with 3 modes (D, S & triptronic with 8 gear transmission)
Overtaking is easy and I would say this gear box stands in between CVT and DCT
3. Hill assist: as per Hyundai, there is no hill hold for the sportz model but the car doesn't crawl back immediately, instead the engine pushes the car fwd so no issues on steep roads/bridge and hills
Overall this is a very good car if you are looking for an automatic within 10 L budget with useful features

Hyundai elite I 20 ( from2015 to till now)petrol issues in clutch and assy part heating issue ,clutch will hard after use ..Please address this issue whether all elite I 20 petrols engine face this issue

High maintenance..
Basically N line uses a 1 liter turbo 3 pot 120hp engine, if you gonna use it for highways as you said yes you can go for the turbo, because the turbo was made for highway usage. as for the gearbox DCT is reliable if properly maintained, and the hyundai dct tends to be more reliable than the germans, and as for city to reduce dct heating issue , in signals put the gear in neutral and always give smooth throttle. while in hills use paddle shifter for better longivity.

Amaze has better mileage but weaker pickup and is very noisy.
Hyundai is extremely smooth but very poor mileage 8 kms average

For long 120 km I got 17.6 km per litter in display also I drove in 60 to 90km speed range

The main drawback in asta(o) ivt is, it doesn't has hill hold assist. But n8 imt has HHA with all wheel disc brakes.
