I bought before the facelift of this car and felt connected to my needs. I20 at its best❤. Best value for money model is i20 sportz as per my opinion. This had 3 head rest at back and automatic climate control.
Even I20 Asta doesn't have the basic rear adjustable headrest, sir. Most of the people don't buy the top end variant. Hyundai is doing cheap things like giving sunroof and not giving basic adjustable rear headrest.

I'm glad that Hyundai finally worked on the steering. As a owner of Elite 20 (2020 model) that was one of the biggest let down especially in high speed highway drive. Also what you said is very true about the sluggish 1.2 kappa engine. 😆
Thanks for the review bro. Yesterday I test drove i20 ivt. I liked the ride quality. However, the engine felt stressed everytime when I pressed the accelerator. The dealer told me that it's an old vehicle and would get me a new model once it arrives. Currently, I have Figo 1.5 diesel. It's a 2015 model. Love it. The torque it produces is splendid. I'm looking to upgrade. Budget is 12 lacs. Petrol automatic preferred. i20 n line also I'm considering. But I'm a little skeptical about turbo engine reliability and dct gearbox. Also, mileage might be single digit within city. I have driven just 40k in 8 years with 60% city and 40% highway. I want your opinion bro.
From the old videos I've seen on motowagon, the engine was built to be attached with turbo. It's not like tata's turbo where they fit a turbo in Nexon. i20' dct is reliable. Even Volkswagen's dsg in polo wasn't as reliable. But mileage will definitely be less. You'll get anywhere between 9-12 in city. If mileage is your concern consider Baleno/Glanza.
As for 1.2 ivt vs 1.0 dct rev matching will be there in both the gearbox, the ivt is a 88 ps engine which is updated in the latest version with less rubber band effect, the test drive ones will be more stressed since its used by everyone but ideally the ivt is best use for smooth acceleration and its more linear in power delivery. As for the turbo dct its strictly a highway car where the turbo lag is more pronounced in the city, here again the dct will do the rev matching for smooth acceleration, and dct will not have the rubber band effect as the ivts, mileage is a factor in the three cylinder turbos specially the dcts, the city ride will turn you 6-10 depending on your style average 8 in the city and 13-14 in the highway. the dct might be lazy in the city speed for the turbo to spool up, you will feel the sudden surge initially. whereas the ivt 4 cylinder NA will be smooth, if not jerky. As for the three pot turbo reliability hyundai seems to do better than the VAG twins, DCT is a hit or miss in reliability and the ones in the hyundai is a dry clutch type, will give a good life if company serviced everytime, put the gear in neutral in signals or while crawling, smooth acceleration, and use paddle shift in hills. best driven not to confuse the DCT actuators.
Planning for i20 sportz ivt. Do still it is best to buy now and is there driver door closing issue ? Do we need to close that with a little force due to that vacuum inside or still we need to down the glass and close our door ? Do still this issue persists in i20 pls advice
I own honda jazz and my friend hyundai i20 both petrol. We drive often exchange and back to back. I20 in long run cant be compared to jazz. Jazz though did nt get enough on market car is super trouble free and has better mileage as well. Hyundai has smoother steering but that is the problem as well on highways

I bought a i20 Aşta petrol MT variant 2 days back drive around the city covered 70 km why the cluster showes fuel economy 7.5 km per Lit , is it real or it will increase after a while ? Completely shocked 😒

I test driven pre-facelift model. It felt VFM for me even magna. One important thing bothered me, I wasn't able to get into perfect driving position. My friend also felt the same. I have driven previous gen model too, that was good in driving position for me. Newer one feels kind of weird to me.Hence I didn't go for i20..

Pre-facelift model is lot better than the Face lift model.. Removed Fog lamps also in newer model seems like a downgrade instead of upgrade.
