    Morning Captain. Try adding abit of methyl hydrate brake fluid to your window washer fluid. It reduces the freezing temperature of the liquid. Also a squirt of dawn dish soap will improve the cleaning quality of the washer fluid. Safe travels.

  • @HHTV60
    @HHTV60  2 года назад +6

    Poor fuel consumption was caused by extreme cold temps and extra weight on the trailer (ice & snow). If this was summer, I'd probably be doing 70 litres per 100 km on hills and 65 L on even roads.

      Thanks. I'll check it out. It's 6:47 PM local time (CST), and I just got the warning LOW VOLTAGE DISCONNECT,. The bunk heater has been running only for about 2 hours.. Had to stop the heater and start the engine. The temp outside at the rest area near Martin, ON is already at -28C or -18F. It's going to be a long long long night ;) but I like watching fully illuminated rigs fly by on Hwy 17 ;) I should probably change the truck's batteries once I'm paid for this trip. Dry van trucks jackknife easy, because they often have the trailer front loaded. So when they hit the brakes, the tractor brakes work good, but the trailer brakes don't.

    • @ehsnils
      @ehsnils 2 года назад

      And with the trailer heavy at the back you'd risk getting the same effect as throwing a dart backwards - sudden self-oscillation.
      And when braking hard and not securing the load properly it will come as a torpedo through the front of the trailer.
      So whatever you do you'll be damned.

    You could check out getting sanders mount them on both sides in front of your axle behind the pusher fill them with sand activate by air switch in cab just to get you start you use so much torque to get going. You could probably set the flow on the sand not sure. not sure if can use sanders everywhere I know you can in Mt.

      Two switches, one for your cross diffs and one for side to side when both engaged locks everything up proper 100 percent no slip at all. haha, no turning either. Not just 1 set that still slips... Like what most you wannabes think a full locker is but is far from it.

    At someone else's home...she is driving me stupid with music - painful dumb. Anyway, this one came up Russian which is somewhat more interesting than music. Don't know how or what it means but here you go,:
    И я не могу забыть,
    Я никак не могу забыть.
    Весь мой старый мир разрушился,
    Потому что я не могу забыть.
    Я как корабль, что выброшен на берег
    И не может сдвинуться с места из-за отлива.
    Утро, не приходи сегодня,
    Не ищи ее серебристый свет.
    И я не могу забыть,
    Я никак не могу забыть.
    Весь мой старый мир разрушился,
    Потому что я не могу забыть.
    Банковская работа в городе -
    Робин Гуд и Вильгельм Телль,
    Айвенго и Ланселот
    Не стали бы завидовать мне.
    От заката до рассвета
    Мир кружится, пока я пребываю в мечтах.
    Я так и не могу забыть,
    Я никак не могу забыть.
    Весь мой старый мир разрушился,
    Потому что я не могу забыть.
