Man I just started playing BDO a week ago, as have many... and your channel is the one! You are very well spoken, concise and helpful. Cheers man, really appreciate all the videos.
EvilDoUsHarm, man you're a godsend, you cannot imagine the amount of crappy guide videos that I've went through without understanding a thing, people don't actually know what it means to explain something to someone that knows nothing about the matter, thank you, for real, I'll try to paste this comment as much as possible until you see it, you really made a difference in the way I play, I was ready to drop the game after reaching level 56 on just one character because I couldn't be asked to do all the gibberish other content creators are posting, but you made it clear, the how and why, thanks man, cheers!
Yes! I started my channel 9 years ago now, trying to make guides for games that would help people to understand. I've learned a lot on how to make a topic accessible for everyone (lots of failed video attempts lol!), and I try to make every video easily understandable, while throwing a bit of comedy into them. I try to make learning fun and easy! At the end of the day I want people to enjoy whatever I am enjoying! I really don't care about the money or views like a lot of creators. If it comes it comes, if it doesn't it doesn't. Thanks for watching and have a nice day!
YOU LEFT OUT SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT! heya i think your videos are great and very helpful. i put this in caps because i think it is incredibly important. some of the npcs in the game, for whatever reason, you will just keep failing to even get a tiny amount of amity. what you can do is 1) approach the npc and 2) 'wave'. - if i remember correctly this will burn 3 energy and gain 3 amity. yes, it is a very crappy return, but beats the heck out of no amity all. and if you have alts, just park them in front of the npc and use up their energy each day with the 'wave' option until you get what you need. thanks again for all the great videos!!
I have been playing BDO for about 7 months now but honestly your videos have helped me so much! I just found you and I have learned so much more than anyone in my guild was willing to help! Thank you so much for making these videos!!! Also, I really appreciate them being 15 mins of straight to the point and filled with info. I never have time to watch a 40 mins video where I have to search for the info I need. You’re awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the video. This is an example of one of the many things in BDO which are probably not super complicated, but if you're new and have no idea what you're looking at it makes absolutely no sense.
Once again you come in clutch LOL! I always google and click things at random and eventually after hours end up clicking a google suggested link from you. I have been telling everyone about your guides and how they're way more useful than most content people push out to help "noobs" You're the dopest my dude!
I've been playing bdo a week, ive come to youtube confused about shit a dozen times. This was the only video that answered my newbie question quickly and easily. Thumbs up.
Super helpful, before I watched this I didn't even realize that there are conditions for succeeding, so I always just googled the most sparks answer and used that every time :D
Wow, I was looking around and trying to learn about Amity specifically for Norn Federers in your leveling guide. I had no idea you made this guide for that lmao. What luck, and how convenient.
Love your guides. I see a lot of mixed information from a lot of different guides. I'm appreciative there is someone out there that makes these guides step by step without tangenting too hard off in a weird direction without ever coming back to their format. These guides are well organized. I just started a week ago and you've been a big help. Subbed!
omgg it was the damn objective/“requirement” thing. it was tellin me, talk freely to norn. so i was just sitting there trying to get some mysterious chat option to pop up lolz xD youre a friggin saint, thank you so much for being!
omg thank you so much. I did not notice the requirements on the left so I always only looked at the % of the selected units, thinking that I need to proc interest as much as possible xD
I know im late on this game but i just saw it on xbox and i am HOOKED. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS! you explain them better than anything ive came across online.
THANK YOU, BDO was so confusing when I started cause it was so much information and I've never played an MMORPG beforehand. And your channel helped me a lot. Thank you 💖💖
Yikes!! Soooo much to this damn game. This channel needs to be MANDATORY when playing. Thank you, EvilDoUsHarm. Without your vids, i would have given up and gone to play something else long time ago.
Ok just watched video and then played some , i watched because i needed it. Helped alot . 1 Every "card" char has it attributes on the bottom which says like after 2 turns it will do that and that. If i'm correct "turn" is one char activation , so if first char have "after 2 turns" attribute that means after he "plays" and next one "plays" that attribute is activating. That is part i think you didn't mention but is important when favor is multiplaying.
So, two years later, and the strange amity mini game is still a black box for new players. I was struggling with that before, but thanks to your video that is now gone! Maybe as a little addition: The favor is added anew with every turn. If the first person gives say 10-20 favor, you get that for the first turn. For the second turn the same range comes on top, when the second person's favor is calculated, which is maybe 20-30 favor. So for the second turn you get (10 to 20)+(20 to 30) = 30 to 50 favor. That is added to the outcome of the first turn. For each turn all preceding persons are added on top again. This is at least as far as I can guess the calculation.
Solid, dude. Been playing super off and on casual since launch and never bothered with this shit until now. Kinda neat, wish it didn't have an energy cost though.
For the one with stupid requests like "fail x consecutive times" I simply ESC out of the screen and go back in to get a different request :D. Yes it consumes the energy but whatever, it's certainly faster than trying to put up with those annoying requests. Also, for some NPCs it's simply the fastest to F5 wave your way through to where you need to be.
Yo my man your leveling video helps me a lot. So whenever someone in game ask how to power level, i always recommend them to check this channel out. You really deserve it my dude. Oh and also, Subscribed! :D
Thank you for explaining this, some of it has been driving me nuts. That said, learning how this works and thinking about the quests I'm trying to do that brought me here... wow, what a buzzkill. I don't really want to play this incredibly overcomplicated game anymore. That sucks.
Sorry so do you need to max out a characters Amity for anything in a particular if they are blank like the one you showed us or you already unlocked all the knowledge they had?
So if you have an impossible one, just F5 them to death. Thats wave to them and it will increase Amity. Its slow and uses energy but sometimes its the only way.
thank you i just started BDO, the amity game made no sense! the game didn’t explain anything to me but i still have questions, like what does interest level mean and why doesn’t it matter
Really helpful, thanks! I'm just curious, how much amity would i want to raise on each npc i come over to unlock things, is there an easy way to see what i can unlock, and when i can unlock at which amity level? Thanks.
Do you get anything from filling the amity bar all the way up? And some npcs require a certain amount of amity in order for them to give you a quest or knowledge yet it’s not working for me and I’m wondering why? Like for Crio I have over 400 amity for yet he still hasn’t given me his quests yet which the first one was suppose to be available at 200 amity. Am I missing something??? I’m still new here
Sooo I think this is a good guide, it's just an exceptionally confusing and convoluted mechanic for a new player. Like, I'm level 20 and I just punch things, what the fuck even is amity? Or favor? Or knowledge? I think I understand the extremely vague gist of it because you do a good job explaining it, but holy smokes this sure is an unintuitive system
If all else fails there's always waving up til this point I've had to use multiple characters for that stupid game. I'd average about 4-10 per game when I'd see videos of people getting upwards of 100-150. Now I have an idea why.
Man, fuck amity. I needed to buy some horse gear but my servers market was selling them at highway robbery prices, and the shabbier option is locked behind a stupid mini game. If I was going to sink that much energy, then Im better off opening my own workshop, which is what I'm doing.
Man this channel got the best balance for completely new players like me & old/ returning players. Thanks so much man I’m 56 thanks to you and finish the main quest. Now ima search your channels for gear guide cause I just been using random stuff
Thank you! Glad you like the videos! I have a guide on story quests that give you gear: ruclips.net/video/55AKijH5l5w/видео.html But I will be making a more in depth guides soon!
I just got this game on Steam for $3 and just to fool around and waste my time, while waiting for Crimson Desert. I for one, hate MMO's as they are mostly way more grinding than they need to be, they are pay-to-play/pay-to-win in order to have a decent character, they have the cheaters and gankers that serve no purpose in the game, except to have other players quit, they have many un-necessary and time consuming tasks like, this amity mini-game, the nodes grind, the usage of certain points needed to just do the most essential things in a game, like picking plants, opening chests and just plain waving at a character, which is total stupidity. Then they have forced PVP at level 50, when they should have allowed players to just PVE the entire game. They also have outrages prices for just about everything, including feeding your pets, who consume way too much food, while spending $3000 silver for one ration of cheap grain that decreases your pets hunger by 3% per ration, is simply ridiculous, or one can choose to simply learn how to make their pet's food, but that requires hours of wasted time. And lastly, there's all those useless coupons and other things that are used exclusively for the Pearl shop, which I will never use, like some of those rich "Whales" in the game, that spend real money like it grow on trees. I even watched a video of one "Whale" spending $160,000 on this game so far. That's insane! Oh, and then theirs all the characters clipping through everything and NPC's not voiced through their entire dialogue, which is unacceptable. For all the terrible implemented things this game has, it also has many great things too, like the combat, character creation and customization, multiple character slots, main quests, side quests, life skills and great looking gear and outfits. I love Pearl Abyss and can hardly wait to purchase and play at full price, their upcoming "Crimson Desert" game, as it has been my most anticipated game for the past 2 years. But there's a huge difference between these 2 genres. Black Desert is a marathon I just don't have enough time to invest in, especially, when there are so many other games I like and want to play and I'm retired and have nothing but free time, but not for any MMO. As they say, different strokes for different folks. Game on everyone, whatever that game might be and that keeps you excited and hooked... P.S. You are the best BDO teacher out there, so, great work and thanks for all those helpful videos, as BDO can become confusing and overwhelming at times. Over and out! 😎

Oh my gosh, this all makes more sense.
Best video on the mini game! Saw some others (Jonlaw) and were terrible
Love this guide!
Thank you! We appreciate you :D
you are a terribly great youtuber ty
Finally I understand this game thank you
Also dont forget there is an amity tool you can use to find the optimal combination, its a little out of date but works quite well still
Thank you. This made it easy to understand.
Thanks! This guide helped me a lot!
Thanks a lot man! This helped me understand the system

Sorry so do you need to max out a characters Amity for anything in a particular if they are blank like the one you showed us or you already unlocked all the knowledge they had?
Owl Treant....Tough Tree Spirit....Small Treant...Treant Stub...=)

Looking for the 02:00 guide to filing out the knowledge book. Which video is that?

Yes, it should work exactly like that. Try checking the chat tab, rather than the quest tab. He might give it from there.
On second though, maybe grinding Polly's ain't so bad after all
Sooo I think this is a good guide, it's just an exceptionally confusing and convoluted mechanic for a new player. Like, I'm level 20 and I just punch things, what the fuck even is amity? Or favor? I was looking at the wrong favor the entire time. That is why I was failing the min favor one...
Forgot to talk about the zodiac, that is, if that even makes a difference
There is also elixir of amity that helps
what do the amity buffs do in this situation? potions and books
You didn't talk about the combo mechanic
Is the progress account wide, or do I have to do it with all chars during leveling?
im stuck on speak with isobelle Encarotia help?
thanks mate
Ty very much,
I got almost 800 amity with this NPC and yet can't do them quests :( someone any idea why?
Is just spamming greeting an okay way of gaining amity?
is amity/knowledge shared? i may have missed it if u said it
It is shared on your account, yes
@@EvilDoUsHarm Thankyou! i just started bdo last season server period your guides help alot!
