- It took a few months, but here's another Mario Kart 8 Deluxe custom track!

Shipwreck Shore is definitively my most complex custom track yet. The track's model features a lot of variety and detail, and I even incorporated some remodeled track objects in the form of both big and small urchins.
In terms of theming, I'm happy with how unique of a mixture of environments and tropes I've managed to create. The track is like a combination of Wario Shipyard, Cheep Cheep Beach, Broken Pier and Shy Guy falls, and yet I think it all feels cohesive.
I also included custom music in the form of "Frantic Fields" from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, including the Rambi version as frontrunning beats.
I actually started working on this project nearly half a year ago, but the modelling process was quite demoralizing so it wasn't until two weeks ago that I continued work on the track. Obviously there's still loads of stuff I'm unhappy with, there are some elements that might come close to Nintendo's quality but plenty of things fall short in that regard.
Either way, I'm very happy with the finished result.

my personal favourite thing about this track is that it's dark and has rain particles meaning RUclips compression absolutely destroyed it 🙃

Easily my favorite custom track I've ever seen. From the music choice to the stage hazards and visuals it's a beauty of a track. I'd do anything to have this in the game
He's gonna put all this hard work then next thing we know they announce add the same map to be added to wave 6
there's actually some people who spend a lot of time and effort to port Tour levels to 8DX knowing they'll be in the booster course pass sooner or later anyways, it's super weird

Holy crap. This is one pf the best custom tracks I've ever seen for a mario kart game. The asthetics go as far as to put in-game tracks to shame. The concepts here aren't just cool, but they have amazing execuation. Fantasic job on this absolute gem.

This is really impressive, from start to finish, it is probably my favourite custom track for Mk8 Deluxe so far. Love the theming, the urchins as hazards and the graphics are awesome!

Yeah Moo Moo Mountain was mostly just generic terrain and a really simple road, I did indeed really try to step it up with this one, thanks!

I like how you used DKCTF music for this track, but I honestly think Rockin’ Relics’ music would’ve been a better fit for it as that level has a similar theme
yeah this track was actually inspired by rockin relics, but personally I didn't really think the music worked for a mario kart track
using frantic fields also allowed me to use the rambi version of the song for when you're frontrunning

Ngl the section from 0:50 to 1:01 feels like it would fit perfectly in a remake of GBA Lakeside Park, on its last looping turn before the finish line.
Oh yeah, and this is EASILY one of my favorite Mario Kart 8 custom tracks of all time.

Still looks better than all of wave 1.
I personally think it would look better if one was to adapt the BCP look for custom tracks, as with the MK8 texture work some of the modelling might look quite jarring. Just my oppinion though.
I prefer the look of vanilla 8 over the Booster Course Pass style, and for me it's also easier to replicate

I haven't really messed with nambu background creation that much myself, most of the backgrounds in my mods were made by WillyMaker
