Thank you for a Great video Yes Elvis Presley is The King Of Music No doubt that. Yes all records is fantastic to see All his movie and all videos are amazing I Look forward to next video. Thank you so very much I love that ❤️
I love this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome collection I just love how you got all the records I 100% agree with you Ed I love that album Great stuff Ed! I also love the CD's
Yes my favorite Elvis album! Thanks for interesting Elvis reviews you do! Highly appreciated! Wish You all the best and greetings from Latvia! Cherios! Marko
Man I played that LP a lot when I got it in the early 70s. In high school in 1978 I took it to school and I played it for a friend. Instant Elvis fan. Just love that LP.
I Love both of those songs : MAMA LIKED THE ROSES & THE WONDER OF YOU :) ...I Love ON STAGE 1970 and all of ELvis' Live ALbums , some more than others :) ...
I love this album Elvis looks great on the cover kind of like a superhero out of marvel comics my two favorite songs on the album Polk salad Annie and walk a mile in my shoes those two song show what a great sou lsinger he could be mixed with 70's Rock and soul along with the; fiery CC Rider the whole album is just great ✌🏼👍🏼✋🏻✨
That was the first Elvis album I bought. It was my thirteenth birthday in 1973 and I bought it with money I had got. Great album and the band rock on it. I am sure the drummer was Bob Lanning for the 1970 recordings.
Mr. Ed. I bought this when it was released. Absolutely Loved it then and still do! Elvis was in Great Form. 2 Things about this album. 1. It was the Only Elvis album released where his name is not on the front or back cover! 2. The Wonder of You is the Only live recording released as a single to reach the Top 10. Peaking at #9 on the Billboard Charts! Very well done Mr. Ed!
Brilliant single Brilliant album ed I always liked the concept of Memphis to Vegas Vegas to Memphis... a live album coupled with a studio album all from the same year
My dad was a big music fan and often took me to record shops as a kid. He took me to TW Records about '74 and I saw this album, I looked at it front/back. Later I own a copy of this LP, bought 1984, still have it. Noticed that Elvis' suit has no collar but braid instead.Later 2015, this actual suit was on display here in Greenwich, where I live. Here in UK apart from The Wonder of You 45, See See Rider/Polk Salad Annie 45 was released too, same for Germany, I think. Let it be Me was an original for Gilbert Becaud (Je t'appartiens) translates as I Belong to You.
Great collection of a fantastic L.P Ed, regarding the red box i have a much later German pressing L.P which has the red box around the "recorded on stage" it also features a weird fake 3D front cover ! another later re issue has a 1972 back cover , also here in the U.K when the album was originally released the cover stated " on stage " only no February 1970 by the way good luck with the documentary film i hope it happens i would love to hear the full story of "the letter".
This is just a great rock lp !!!! I do like all of the ones that you did show for this album . But wow I do like the vinyl of the FTD a lot and hope to get it some day lol nice !!! Cool vide Ed take care !!!
Mornin, mine has red boxes also at bottom "On Stage" but I replaced the sleeve many years ago because it was ripped to shreds. This has been well played on many many good sh...ty stereo equipment for 50 years. It s 2nd favorite all time Elvis album. Take care.
Hello Ed a good varied review of the variations of the classic Elvis release I recall I had a Japanese 7 inch vinyl Ep that played at 33 rpm it had 4 tracks from the album was quite a nice collectors item. Stay Safe Best regards Sean.
I bought the CD when it came out in the 1990s great live album I Love run away and sweet caroline , yesterday and hey jude as I had never heard Elvis singing them before when I first heard the CD especially Elvis covering the Beatles as he had written to Nixon and in his letter he criticized the Beatles and the drug culture which gave the impression he didn't like them but in the song never been to Spain taken from Elvis on tour video there's a line in the song that says I kind of like the Beatles and Elvis nods in approval,, lol .
A good album indeed. I used to sing along with it as a teen pretending I'm Elvis 😂. Have most of these releases also plus the backdraft "ultimate edition".
On Stage is my favorite Elvis record since I was a teenager. I used play that record over and over. It had great sound on the original record was the best mix than any of the cd versions or that new Friday release vinyl You can really hear the drum kit symbols crystal clear than the new mixes. I think any way. There is 2 songs not recorded in 1970, runaway and yesterday were from August 69. I don't know why the Hey Jude wasn't released at that time.
Hi Ed great video i also did a video on this lol but i was talking about this album needs to be in a box set and i am with you i love this album i play it a lot to,
I own on stage 1970 by elvis on RCA legacy 2 cd and lp (original canadian pressing ridgid). but now i am curious to find the one with the diff picture on back. great video ed. mike friend from canada eh!!
Terrific album, probably my favourite. Have to agree with you, not far from being a masterpiece. Many years ago I read a review about this album. In the review it said that when it was first released, it was supposed to signal the start of a new direction. It was fair comment, given the releases from around that time. 1956-61/2, aside, 1968-1973/4 was probably the most productive time of his career. We played The Wonder of You at my Dad’s funeral. I’ve always loved the song , but it took on a whole new significance for me. I’m hoping that Friday Music and/or Sony do something special for Elvis Country - what a great album! Also, I am living in hope that Friday Music rerelease That’s ThWay It Is. Take it easy, Lee
Hey Ed,great video and love your channel.I've got a question regarding your scarves. What type of hooks/brackets etc are they hanging on?I'm looking at hanging mine but i'm not sure which way to go.Thanks in advance.
I thought FTD would have brought out a box set of all the recordings from the Feb 70 engagement by now. They don't have full shows, but what they have would be nice in one box set. Similar to TTWII or the Vegas 69 set.
My Fav. Elvis recording of all time Bob Lanning on drums has more of a rock edge than Ron Tutt. Also the splashing Hi-hat in the wonder of you. That’s Bob
Define concept by used on Memphis to Vegas Vegas to Memphis would have been brilliant with the on stage album I think a studio album coupled with that which really is what they done later wrong with the last away is Legacy album no one complained about that but people complained about the Vegas to Memphis most of the Vedas and separated it
Great video Ed! I found out I own the 77 pressing. Also as you know I’m a little new to the Elvis fandom and I don’t own any FTD’s yet. I would love to see a video of your favorites so I know which ones I should try and pick up. I think I’m gonna but Off On Stage. Take care, Josh
Brad Berry Yes I actually live in Memphis. I was a huge Elvis fan as a little kid but got bullied for it and sadly left my love Elvis behind and for years was just a casual fan that just knew the hits. However after watching The Searcher in 2017 I became a huge fan all over again and now I own all Elvis’ albums on vinyl, all his movies, and a couple cd box sets. I honestly can’t get enough of him.
Ed of all the songs Elvis sang I know you’re favourite is the Wonder of you but what is the one you don’t like of all the ones he recorded and by the way love the CD great songs on it 🇨🇦🇺🇸⚡️👑
Not a fan of Please Release Me but otherwise a fine album. Have a few versions but just the Friday Music on vinyl which is my go to one. There is also the FTD The On Stage Season which has the complete opening and closing shows from this engagement which I'm sure you'll have also.
The album is just great. Elvis singing other people's material, very eclectic. His version of the Del Shannon clássico , "Runaway" is phenomenal. The Legacy version is the one to own, and the 1999 re-issue and remix is questionable.

@@TheKingsCourt1972 I've just started collecting them. I've noticed that the sound quality, compared to other album versions, is far superior too. A lot louder with a lot more bass. And I love the 10" format
Have you changed your mind about selling your FTD collection? I understand you were/are in a difficult position but I hope you found a way to keep them.
@@TheKingsCourt1972 yes I got it yesterday. Plays very good. I think mine's the 1976 pressing. I don't mind as long as it plays good and to me if it came out when elvis was alive it might as well be a original version.
Thank you for a Great video
Yes Elvis Presley is The King Of Music
No doubt that. Yes all records is fantastic to see All his movie and all videos are amazing I Look forward to next video. Thank you so very much

I Love both of those songs : MAMA LIKED THE ROSES & THE WONDER OF YOU :) ...I Love ON STAGE 1970 and all of ELvis' Live ALbums , some more than others :) ...
After seeing this I ordered the Friday music vinyl. Definitely worth the investment

All of it. But mostly 50’s and late 60’s-70’s
Do you have the "18 number ones" copys on 10" that were released here in the UK during the mid 2000s?
