Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to watch and comment on my video I really appreciate it! I'm glad you got the CD box set. I usually prefer to get the vinyl over the CD, but for musicians that I really love such as Elvis, I went for both! Hope you are enjoying the music! What are your favorite songs so far? Best, Steve
New follower ... enjoyed the video & as I have just received the Elvis 5 CD box set - I can say I love the packaging, pictures & booklet...very well done. I have not dived into the listening of the 5 CD's yet - - looking forward to doing that this weekend.
Hi Jimmy thank you so much for checking out the video! I hope you enjoy the music! I am glad you like the packaging, pictures and booklet. They have done a nice job on this release! Thank you for taking the time to watch, comment and subscribe! I hope you're having a great week! Best, Steve
The King - it's the catalog that keeps on giving! Always keeping an eye out for new Elvis releases, but this one I was unfamiliar with until your showing. The CD packaging is impressive. Back in 2019 I picked up the 2 LP Live Set 'International Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada August 26, 1969', which is pretty amazing, and 1968 to 1972 is probably my favorite Elvis period (but it's all great). Great showing! 😎Ed
Hi Ed, I"m so happy you liked the video and honored that you took the time to watch it and comment. I completely agree with you on the years 68 through 72 as his peak years they are my favorite too! I do think his voice was powerful right up until his last show before his death. That is cool you got the 2 LP Live at the International from August 26,1969, RSD release right? I got that album too such a good show! Hope you're having a good weekend and thank you again for commenting and watching! Best, Steve
I have a beef with That's All Right: the track is way too short! The CD box looks very nice. I think I like the CD cover better. Cool package for the Elvis fans out there!
I hear you on the That's All Right. I think it could be a bit longer, but still a great tune. Thanks for watching and glad you liked video! Hope all is well!
Have you just discovered Elvis? The track has always been 1:54 !!! 😊 Seriously, if you’re looking for some longer versions, check out some of the later live performances, especially the 1968 NBC-TV Special, just phenomenal. Enjoy 😉
@@FrankieLovesElvis Don't worry. I first heard Elvis 45 or 50 years ago, so no, I haven't just discovered him! And, I have always known that this is s short song 🙂
@@EmbryonicRobot Wow, ease up pal, I was just kidding around a bit, as you could clearly see the smiley emoji after my comment. You do realize Elvis still makes new fans all the time. 😉👋
I was really interested in this. But between your thoughts, Ed from The Kings Court, and Steve Schnee…I think I’ll stay away from this. It sounds like a bit of a disappointment. Thanks for doing this Steve! Cheers, Matt 😎🙏😊❤️👍🍻
Hi Matthew, thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. I like the digital and cd versions better than the vinyl. Overall, I'm happy with both the cd box set and vinyl. That being said, I do prefer the FTD releases over the RCA Legacy label. I hope you're doing well and having a good weekend! Best, Steve
Unfortunately, This release is just an overall mess, Disk 2 is a travesty (Suspicious Minds/Don’t Cry Daddy) and there are overdubs, pops, digital clicks, ugh, all over the tracks featured, so the whole notion of having them undubbed and as Elvis heard them in the studio goes right out the gate. That said, there are some choice mixes that I do enjoy, but these newly mixed tracks will never get replaced by the originals, for me at least.
I have been listening to Elvis for my entire life. I do appreciate your opinion and commenting on the video. I prefer the cd box set over the vinyl. Thank you again for taking the time watch the video.
I received my copy of CD box set and I love it. Thank you for this video
