I just realized that though this takes place halfway through the album, as indicated by the changing voices and the rainbow outline around the Chonny head that this actually shows a bit of harmonization; as if Mind's anger isn't directed at Heart alone but at Chonny himself, and that Heart is somewhat singling alone.

"To craft your voice in heart and mind" Mind is literally telling soul to not get full of himself and stop threatening them with self-ending. Soul has equal stake as the other two, no matter how much more important he is. Mind is concrete. Heart is rebar. Soul is the skyscraper. This is why Heart's color scheme flashes so much the closer to the end it gets. Heart is literally encouraging mind and singing with him at some points. Okay now that I've watched the whole thing, I absolutely fucking love the sort of abstract story you're telling with these, it's really cool to see the way these two characters (really parts of one character I guess) continue to interact, and you can tell from the covers in order that this is building towards something.

Personally as a person with high functioning ADHD this song resonates with me a lot. It’s hard to become what I want to be in life and it feels like a struggle between myself. Time keeps on moving, but I feel stuck. As soon as my mental health starts recovering I start thinking where I could be and the cycle starts again.
As someone with autism i relate to this song on some days because i sometimes don't feel happy... About myself... Plus i have anxiety and depression too so there's that i struggle with...

Chonny, this is my favorite of your tracks and possibly one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm glad to see that it has all come together in the end, closing off an era. This came out at a weird time for me and your uploads have defined my life ever since. But now it is over, and this is okay. Chonny you could never upload again and I would be more satisfied than I thought I ever would be. This is the perfect story, it comes from you but it has a little bit of everyone in it. I saw it addressed to Soul. Multiple lines can be more easily traced to Soul. Viewing the lyrics in this light and assuming the background vocals is Heart, not Soul, the lyrics can instead be attributed to mind telling Soul "STOP holding suicide above us. You aren't special, you are only a third, no matter how 'important' you try to be. Don't force us to get along by holding death above us." Likely wording it for, or helping Heart (likely at request based on the harmonization rainbow outline) in doing so. He himself couldn't care less about Soul's motives, he's said it before that he'll gladly cut Heart out of the equation first if Soul will die anyways (storm and a spring). I am fully confident in saying that this is Mind telling Soul to quit the bullshit lmao
I was really interested to see what you did with this one. I was kind of worried that your tonal style might clash a bit too hard with Be Born's original content-in retrospect, I probably should have considered the possiblity that you'd just. Do something entirely different with it. Anyway, that something different definitely works really well. I like how cohesive all these covers feel, like parts of a whole. I guess it's kind of funny, when you consider how Marvin's and Tally Hall as a whole kind of build themselves off of being chaotic mishmashes of concepts. But I guess that's part of what makes it work-your covers take these songs and _really_ make them your own in a very interesting way. Good work. ...I'm still kind of horrified to see what becomes of two wuv, though.

Okay my explanation of this song (please correct me if im wrong) is mind talking about how heart really doesn't matter. The soul is the actual person (chonny) that was split, the mind is who the person is, and the heart is who the person wants to be, this is why mind thinks heart really just doesn't matter. As Chonny seperates from being one person and no longer being in control he focuses on who he wants to be without really caring about who he currently is now, making heart the main priority and making mind unhappy with that.

Well it appears that both canonically and in real life “Be Born” is placed in front of “The Bidding” Be born: (what seems to be the mind saying that the heart is in charge but he’ll be back in charge eventually. The soul doesn’t play in important part in this song) The bidding: (The heart says that The mind is “seething sitting on his stolen throne”. The soul is a solid third voice) Edit: changed brain to mind
I always saw this as Mind and Heart jumping Soul. Mind makes multiple lines referencing Soul more than Heart. "Who split himself into two halves." A bit on the nose. "You are not that special, and yet you run this vessel." Mind calling Soul out on that despite running the vessel, he still only is a third. "Time will move forward, onward, forward, without you. (Etc)" referencing Mind honestly couldn't care about Soul's threatening of suicide. This is why Heart's color scheme (and why there's a high pitched voice in the background at a few parts) is so prevalent and why there's the rainbow outline, signifying the 3 do have some harmony. As I saw it,, this isn't Mind calling Heart out. This is Mind telling Soul that it has a stake in many issues they are having.
There is very clearly a story being told in these songs, but I don’t exactly know what it’s about, I’m assuming these songs are connected because the description of The Whole World and You says there’s a chronological order to these. I think this song (in terms of lore, if there is one) is directed at the main character from the point of view of the low pitched voice character (as seen in The Whole World and You) I think the low pitched character is supposed to either be some symbiote (kinda like Venom) or maybe it could be a metaphor for something, or alternatively I’ve got this completely messed up.

So, I have BPD and OSDD 1b, and these covers strike the nail on the head for me about some of the emotions and thoughts and feelings that I and my alters have, as well as the feelings and thoughts brought on by my BPD. I'm a beginner lyric writer but this cover really struck me in a place I can't quite put into normal words, so I wrote a response? I guess? Feel free to ignore this, it's not any good lmao.

Chonny, this is my favorite of your tracks and possibly one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm glad to see that it has all come together in the end, closing off an era. This came out at a weird time for me and your uploads have defined my life ever since. But now it is over, and this is okay. Chonny you could never upload again and I would be more satisfied than I thought I ever would be. This is the perfect story, it comes from you but it has a little bit of everyone in it. Others may wish for more, but I say that you should continue on in your life however you wish. I have loved my time with this music, and I will still be here if you make more.

Ahh so Heart and Mind is referenced here as well. If my earlier reply to Chonny’s hint on The Bidding was correct, then the main speaker here is Mind most likely speaking to Heart.
I saw it addressed to Soul. Multiple lines can be more easily traced to Soul.
Viewing the lyrics in this light and assuming the background vocals is Heart, not Soul, the lyrics can instead be attributed to mind telling Soul "STOP holding suicide above us. You aren't special, you are only a third, no matter how 'important' you try to be. Don't force us to get along by holding death above us."
Likely wording it for, or helping Heart (likely at request based on the harmonization rainbow outline) in doing so.
He himself couldn't care less about Soul's motives, he's said it before that he'll gladly cut Heart out of the equation first if Soul will die anyways (storm and a spring).

I was really interested to see what you did with this one. I was kind of worried that your tonal style might clash a bit too hard with Be Born's original content-in retrospect, I probably should have considered the possiblity that you'd just. Do something entirely different with it. Anyway, that something different definitely works really well. I like how cohesive all these covers feel, like parts of a whole. I guess it's kind of funny, when you consider how Marvin's and Tally Hall as a whole kind of build themselves off of being chaotic mishmashes of concepts. But I guess that's part of what makes it work-your covers take these songs and _really_ make them your own in a very interesting way. Good work.

Okay my explanation of this song (please correct me if im wrong) is mind talking about how heart really doesn't matter. The soul is the actual person (chonny) that was split, the mind is who the person is, and the heart is who the person wants to be, this is why mind thinks heart really just doesn't matter. As Chonny seperates from being one person and no longer being in control he focuses on who he wants to be without really caring about who he currently is now, making heart the main priority and making mind unhappy with that.

Considering the constant shifting voice and rainbow outline, and the multiple voices, he could also be talking to Chonny himself and/or soul itself.
Heart is emotion, mind logic, and soul self-perception and the gray area.
"And yet you run this vessel." "In Heart and Mind" "Will you be ours, or will you die?" He is literally telling soul at the end, with Heart as a backup voice, that soul has relied on mind for this goddamn long that trying to fight him and give Heart a chance is ironically what's going to kill it. That's why we see Heart's color scheme and hear him as a background voice.
Mind is concrete. Heart is rebar. Soul is the skyscraper.
This shows that soul itself is still the third being, not a inherently a combination. While it is technically the most important, it's still got only equal a stake that Heart and Mind do overall in terms of direct power. That's why it can't just *force* them to get along.

I always saw this as Mind and Heart jumping Soul.
Mind makes multiple lines referencing Soul more than Heart.
"Who split himself into two halves." A bit on the nose.
"You are not that special, and yet you run this vessel." Mind calling Soul out on that despite running the vessel, he still only is a third.
"Time will move forward, onward, forward, without you. (Etc)" referencing Mind honestly couldn't care about Soul's threatening of suicide.
This is why Heart's color scheme (and why there's a high pitched voice in the background at a few parts) is so prevalent and why there's the rainbow outline, signifying the 3 do have some harmony.
As I saw it,, this isn't Mind calling Heart out. This is Mind telling Soul that it has a stake in many issues they are having.

I think this song (in terms of lore, if there is one) is directed at the main character from the point of view of the low pitched voice character (as seen in The Whole World and You)
