    I was reading a article from the 24 volt mod people. You can use the 24 volt mod on the Fishmans. I just tried it's not as drastic as with the EMGs but it definitely cleans up some of that bright high end on the Fishmans. And enriches the harmonics and clarity. Great video as always 🤘🏻

      You sure it won't fry it? I read on a few places that 24v is too much for Fishmans, and they are marked 9-18v on the back. I would really love to try my 24v mod in my Fishman's, especially if it cleans the bright highs up.

      @@jordansguitarchannel3809 bro i tried the fishman modern with the mod. it sounds amazing. only one thing though. i had to combine it with the hf tilt mod and low gain mod to make it sound good lol. and another thing. the fishman depletes my 24volt mod batteries in about 3 days of hard use. -_- other than that its great.

      @@jeffreyquinonez8964 dang man. Idk if I wanna mod it, or do anything else to it. I think dropping it down to B or even A will compensate for high end and I can just continue to EQ it. I appreciate the feedback and suggestions, maybe if I get paid soon I'll try it. Lol

    I just ordered a 24mod for the same EII M1 (my favorite guitar in my collection) bc of this video 🤘
    You think the mod would sound good for 8 string fishman pickups? Also, is the battery life about the same as a 9V? Thanks man.

    • @jordansguitarchannel3809
      @jordansguitarchannel3809  Год назад +1

      I'm betting the mod sounds good on the 8 string. The battery life is much shorter than the 9v, but batteries are cheap on Amazon.

    Ive been rockin a 24v modded 81 for about 3 years now and its my fav pickup setup. For whatev reason i never really liked fishman fluence' puckups. They always sound tin canny to me. Its funny because i litterly use the same rig as you only i play a 2009 esp m2 instead of the m1. Sounds great though brother🤙👊

  • @enacku

    How can you be sure the 24 volt mod doesn't damage the EMG 81? Tripling the voltage makes me think something could overheat and cause damage. What about if you had an E-II with the 80/61 emg combo?

    • @jordansguitarchannel3809
      @jordansguitarchannel3809  3 месяца назад +1

      The 24 volt mod has been around for awhile now, to my knowledge it’s not harmful. I’d definitely put the 24 volt mod in my personal E-II with that combo, and have used it in my other E-II with no issues personally.

      @@jordansguitarchannel3809 Do you have a recommended 24 volt mod or link that you know is good quality? Seems like there are different types. The one that seems the most simple is the 2 double A batteries in a pack shaped like the 9v and just plugs in to the same round connectors as to not cut/solder anything? Appreciate the advice bro.

    I just bought this mod. Hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping it does what I want, which is making pinch harmonics easier, and decompresses things just a touch. I've heard that the 24 volt mod only changes the sound slightly, but it changes playing dynamics quite a bit, whereas a regular 9v, you are having to dig in to get a certain effect or sound. As you are playing, you know yourself its easier to play, and thusly sounds different, because you are playing the same or less aggressive. So, when you are watching a video, you don't realize how different it is.
    Is this the case?

    • @jordansguitarchannel3809
      @jordansguitarchannel3809  10 месяцев назад +2

      In a nutshell yeah. It definitely opens up the pickup, and makes pinch harmonics jump out easier. Slight decompression, and it is more noticeable in person and in recording. It’s not a massive difference but enough that it makes playing easier ie. not digging in as much. Hope that helps, btw I still use it in my E-II.

      @@jordansguitarchannel3809 Just got it in the mail this morning, and it works exactly how I thought. Watching videos doesn't really show what you need to know, no offense. You have to get your hands on it. For the price of lunch at McDonald's, you really need to try it out. It does air things out just a little, and lets you get those screaming pinch harmonics without being EXACTLY in position, and without having to dig so hard.
      All I can say is: just try it already! If it's not for you, return it - or gift it to someone. Chances are, you'll like it, and it's an easier mod than changing string gauge!

      That ESP is quite the guitar, bro. I'd never heard of it. I thought it was a Jackson by the headstock! I put the mod in my Schecter C-1 Platinum. It's an awesome guitar. I've had Squiers and Ibanez since the mid 80s. I've never had anything so nice as the Schecter. That E-11 is a pricey instrument. Sounds killer, though!
