Gerson's message here should be (and I pray that it will be) the seminal ethos by which God's Spirit could infect the American body of Christ, if it is to have any future prospect of furthering Christ's great commission. The present trajectory is a chasm of separation between the world and the church more profound than any monastery could ever have hoped to accomplish.

Michael Gerson who? I mean not my intention to mock or disrespect, but I cannot find a path to genuinely comprehend the motive behind his reasoning. No one is immune to psychological vulnerabilities, even scholars. The ultimate evil that could be made, is choosing to make use of any given talent against truth and freedom. The more the power the greater the responsibility.. just wicked.
