  • Fourteen members of Princeton’s Class of 2023 became commissioned officers in the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force on May 30 during a ceremony led by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, a Class of 1980 graduate who himself was commissioned through Princeton’s ROTC program more than 40 years ago.

These are dangerously strange times when the worst of our society has so much pull on the general public. So, protecting the Constitution is not easy these days. Good luck & stay well in these troubled times!

I'm glad you didn't resign. We are living in an uncertain and dangerous time. We needed you and others to fight for our democracy and our freedom. Thank God we have the military. They don't sleep. Our military work 24/7 to keep their eyes and ears open, watching our enemies. A powerful speech General Mark Milley. I'm touched. God protect our troops

That was a betrayal. When I am working in the government or private sector, my loyalty is to the company or the government. I never dare to bypass my boss to talk to other companies to warn other companies if my boss goes off the rails. IT WAS BETRAYAL PAL, a big time. His rank should be a Private First Class with UCMJ punishment just like Manning. Millie Vanillie should be in Fort Leavenworth.

He presided over one of the worst periods within our military, him and his horrible SECDEF. We are in a recruiting crises that he refused to be truthful about. He should have resigned and threw his horrific President under the bus for an Afghanistan withdrawal that made Saigon look like a picnic, but he was a good little soldier and kept his mouth shut. He knew who buttered his bread and refused to be honest and open about that either. I hope he ended his pontificating with a long segment on “white rage.” As an observer, the highlight of his career was being excoriated by Matt Gaetz in front of congress and the world. While I’m sure he did some good things in his career that he can be proud of, he doesn’t deserve to be publicly celebrated.
