Thank you so much. I just saw this on amazon and wanted to buy it but had no idea how it would work. I was elated to find that there was a video about it under your channel. CHeers!
It sends a signal to play a sound/ recoil the barrel if equipped with recoil/and to the IR emitter to register a shot at another tank equipped with an IR receiver for RC tank battles. I attached a stiff wire to that nub that sticks up on the BB shotter and attached the other side to my barrel that I cut. Making a cheap barrel recoil.
the motor spins and twists the gears continuously so it would continue to shoot. it's really slow though, i think they changed the gear ratio to make it slow on purpose
Speaker makes boom sound and the tank jumps backward in place . This has adjustable intensity of 4 settings including off on my tank...1/16th scale British Challenger 2.
Hello. To increase range (and accuracy) you need two things: - a barrel with an inner diameter of 6mm (a brass tube will be perfect, aluminum also but usually has a larger diameter and the air passes the BB - diameter 5.95mm) - a gasket on the joint of the barrel and the airsoft mechanism (usually black, but you've seen a red one) The barrel length is very important. It cannot be longer (or more precisely, its capacity must match) than the cylinder capacity of the airsoft mechanism. If you want a barrel longer than about 5-7 cm - you can drill a hole through which the excess air will escape. Otherwise BB will be inhibited by the vacuum. The trigger with two yellow wires is necessary on the rc tank models. It causes the tank to fire only once after pressing the trigger on the remote control. Otherwise the tank would fire continuously until you release the trigger. And that's not realistic for a tank gun :). And of course, it triggers the sound effects of the shot by sending a signal to the MFU of the rc tank. Good luck.
Thanks for your input and suggestions. I will experiment with adding a barrel and I believe you are correct about the length being critical for optimum performance. I was wondering if they make a 6mm BB version with dimples to get extended range like the added performance dimples make on a golf ball
Exactly. You should measure (calculate) the capacity of the cylinder and also choose (calculate) the capacity of the barrel and choose its length in this way. I have heard about research on such ASG BB's but I have never seen it on the market (I have been dealing with ASG for 20 years). However, you should google "HopUp ASG". This system helps to increase range and accuracy. Unfortunately, so far I have not been able to mount it in the tank version of the ASG because it is incompatible (requires major rebuilding - which I do not have time for). To obtain the best performance, you must ensure the best possible compression (tightness) of the entire system. Starting with the piston and cylinder sealing ( silicone greas will help ) , seal between the gasket in the airsoft mechanism outlet and the barrel, and make sure that the connection of the nozzle with the rubber gasket is as tight as possible. In addition, an increase in the speed of the ASG ball is achieved by using harder springs ( if you can't find harder it can be compressed more by using additional washers in the piston ). But this is a quick path to failure because this tiny 130 engine, gearbox, and gear housing is made of plastic, unlike the metal ones used in ASG rifles. For example, check the password: "V2 ASG gearbox". Good luck and Happy New Year!!! :)
hmmmm....not sure. I have some balsa and will let you know if I set that experiment up. I am thinking it might be able to penetrate in some circumstances but if the armor is angled correctly then I think the projectiles would be deflected
Hi, I am new to these RC things. So what I have in mind is to mount this shooter on a RC helicopter. How and what parts should I get to trigger the mechanism remotely?
Heng long tanks are garbage if you don't have the ability to look after them. If you know your stuff they are worth every penny. What are the alternatives? Tamiya at 5 - 10X the price?

Yes it's pretty powerful shooting thing
If I keep power on, will it be able to continue like an automatic rifle?

Thanks, I have never seen the tank but sounds realistic

Thanks for all the info
Happy New Year !
Can it break a rc warship balsa armor with 2mm thickness??

@@neuromanglers thanks for the information :D
Hi, I am new to these RC things. So what I have in mind is to mount this shooter on a RC helicopter. How and what parts should I get to trigger the mechanism remotely?
I guess I would use a micro switch activated by a servo to control voltage applied to the bb shooter to make it cycle
I want to do the same but on my fpv freestyle quadcopter lol yes yes yes
These bb shooter guns are whimpy...a mere 50 fps so I want to mount a 415 fps P90 airsoft gun that has semi/full auto.
sounds interesting, send a vid when you get that going
@@neuromanglers Will do!
Looking forward to seeing how you do that !
@@neuromanglers Working on it now!
That one other switch is to trigger tank recoil action.
Thanks, how is the recoil simulated ?
I have the tanks that shooter comes from, the tank will easily shoot 30yards and hurts! 😆 🤣 😂 check out "heng long rc abrams tank"
Wish I had the tank it goes in....that would be fun
Henlong is garbage don’t buy
Seems to perform well, as a toy
What should we buy then?
henglong isnt garbage i have one of their tanks and it works just fine
