I tried this a couple of times: charged the 3 batteries, wired up and then reassembled battery, the drone went through the process of starting up, running on its own with lights flashing after the wire was removed from the foil, and then connecting to the remote. But after the app checked for any firmware updates it never gave me a chance to connect to/update the battery 😥

In theory should be the same as what I joined up the 234 pins at drone

would you do a lip jump service? I have a skydio r1 that needs the spare battery rebooted or remade, I have no tools for such work but I got the drone flying again how ever the main battery lasts maybe 6 minutes

Interesting video. Im going to try this to fix my 2 hibernating batteries. What did you use to charge each cell..how many volts and amps?

Why couldn’t you just use the USB adapter and back feed it with 5 volts to charge the battery…? I think there is an easier way to

If the cell is below 3V you definitely should not be charging at high current, otherwise you will cause damage or even a safety issue. Start off with a low current (10 then 100 mA) to make sure it's all good (no overheating, sounds etc) then once you get to 3V you can up the current to 2A. Do not charge above 4V.

Thanks for a very interesting video. I charged the battery, added the copper strip to the second, third and fourth pins from the right and the copper wire connection to the battery as shown. In the video the drone does not power up until you touched the wire to the copper strip. Mine started the second I installed the battery. I did not have to touch the copper wire to the copper strip. Also, when I turned on the remote there was no indication of a battery firmware update. Did I miss a step? I have checked the setup several times and it acts the same. The minute the battery is connected the drone starts up and the battery firmware does not update. The remote does show the battery status including number of charges and the voltage of each cell. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks and sorry for late reply.
Make sure the copper properly connected or touching the pin of the drone then insert the battery.
Try few times if still fail but make sure I have fully charged the battery one by one.

I also have the same issue, however have to tutch the two wires together. But it checks the firmware, and says all up to date, and closes the blue box. Anyway to force update?
