I say these words a lot: "this is a really special one" but this REALLY is 😂 Join me on this emotional wander around what is arguably the most beautiful and iconic part of the Lake District. We take in the mountain splendour at Blea Tarn before making our way up onto the 'heather-covered moor' (Lingmoor) to enjoy the breathtaking beauty as we meander along 'The Great Wall of Lingmoor'.
This one IS special!

I can’t thank you enough for taking us along on these beautiful hikes which we could never manage. Love listening to your detailed and comprehensive commentary from the heart. You really capture the majesty and glory of the Fells and we are privileged to share in that. 😊🙏🏻
I have decided that Glenn should do audio books, maybe spooky stories of hauntings from the beautiful area he shows us in his videos. I'll never understand why he so often apologises in his videos for 'waffling on' as he says. As far as I'm concerned I love that lovely deep voice. Audio books would be totally awesome and very soothing.
Thank you for another lovely walk Glenn and adorable Finfinn. ❤
Essential Sunday evening viewing! Some unbelievable views on this route 👌😍👍
It's great hearing the intro music. I always know it's going to be a lovely walk in good company. Thanks Glen.
The lake district can bring emotions outin anyone, its unique and makes you proud its part of Britain ,sometimes its difficult to believe it looks so unreal and beautiful, you're doing a great job showing it off, thanks.
Another great video! I remember cycling from Ambleside, through Great Langdale and up to Blea Tarn, absolute beast of a climb for a fat man on a bike 😂 Beautiful views and great to see you and Finn enjoying a wonderful day.
Happy Sunday Glenn and pretty Finn , I’m snugged up in bed with the 3 hounds wrapped up cosy and 1 is farting like mad and it stinks 🤣🤣
loved this one. when you got to the point, the emotion was tangible. we got to know you a little more. it says a lot about your character that you speak with such fondness of a time now firmly in the past.
I teared up just before you did and before you mentioned it - that view it conjured up so many happy family memories with my dear late wife who died last year. Such a strong emotional connection with Lakes after so many stays over the years and being our favourite place in the world. Not been able to visit for a while so seeing your videos gives me my fix - although its not the same as being there is it? Going next week and cant wait!
I can't get out of the house due to chronic illness so your videos really help me. Thank you
Sending you well wishes, it's good to remember the good times, even if they are bittersweet. I can't tell me how much I love your wanders through the Wainwrights, especially with the little 4 legged white fluffball. Much ❤
Your videos take my breath away. Thank you for lifting my spirits.
Great way to start the day. Greetings from Las Vegas.
You must have so many memories of the lakes having grown up there and especially since you make the most of the area and don't take such a spectacular place for granted.
After watching this I took my son to the Lakes and we tried this route. Fantastic day. I’d taken screenshots of the route but couldn’t work out Side Pike and came down before it. Watched again on our return and saw where we’d gone wrong so are going to try again, as you suggest, when the heathers out in the summer.
I would like to say your videos are superb. Very inspiring and funny. I work at a school with an ASD in my class who won’t leave the classroom at dinnertime. I stay in with him and started watching your videos on the big whiteboard. He’s now glued to them and won’t allow anything else on.
He was an elective mute at the start of the year and now I can’t shut him up! An amazing change in him and I think the catalyst was bonding over your videos. So thank you very much for all your work it’s much appreciated.
This area of the lakes seemed more elevated than other videos, absolutely beautiful
I did this walk for the first time with my 7 yr old son about 2 weeks after this and I was blown away. What a place, I’ve only started walking the Langdale area in recent years and it’s understandable how popular it is, beautiful.
So nice to settle down on a Sunday eve and be transported to one of my favourite places. Thank you so much Glenn and finny ❤ ps. Never change the intro music it’s 👌🏼
Looking lovely 😊 yes you too Glenn hello to little Finn. ❤from Michigan
Oh, Thank You Glenn, for such a wonderful adventure!
Thank You for sharing the sunshine, your sweet Finn-meister, your herdy 'hello', your silhouette wave, your waffle, your trek, and your sentiment. You had me chillin', and spillin', when you ran your 'B' roll. Magnificent footage! 😊💚 I'm so happy for you that your toe didn't trouble you.
Lingmoor was my very first hike in the Lakes forty years ago. And have rarely missed a holiday there every year.
That was a beautiful walk, thanks! Imagine to get stuck between those rocks and you can't reach your mobile phone 😅
Literally nothing terrible about that hike. Every step was extremely beautiful! I'd hike that at anytime of the year. Thank you for the video.
Love your little Finn, think she will get on lovely with our little Sammy!!!! 😂😅xx
Just got back from copying your route xx me and my little staffie are very very happy x what a great walk x great channel love every Sunday night settling down to watch u . Thank u 💓
Wonderful. Always enjoyed the winter walks more than the summer. The winter sun lights up the fells and crags so much sharper.
Excellent 👍
The chocolate isn't as thick on Mars bars these days. Not like the ones we got in our selection box at Christmas in the 80s.
Whatever happened to the Aztec Bar?
@jonathanlake6053 never heard of that one. I used to love texan bar.
Lovin this series and all the banter, rave on mate rave on,
❤❤❤ those special places...we all have them.
Thank you so much for sharing this adventure! I love your beautiful country. The views are beautiful of the lake and woods too!
Sunday night on the fells, can't wait till I get up the Lake District in the summer.
Your little dog knows the way!
😂 i was watching you squeeze through thinking he’s gonna have to do all that twice.. you’re committed to the production.
Another nice walk. Wish I lived closer to the lakes,, lots of memories I don’t get to relive as much as I want to. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Just fabulous, Glenn! Have done this walk ourselves and it ranks highly. Lucky enough to have done it during a drought, so no boggy terrain for us. Superb film in all respects. Keep them coming - they are the best out there!! ATB Yvette and Mark
Ya weren't far wrong about the views!, 😊 The Finnmeister 🐶🐕❤ cute as cute is 😁🎉
Damn... Finn is so CUTE!! ❤
Once again Glenn brilliant, Langdales are my favourite place on earth, again you have shown another way to approach them from a new angle. Glad the toe is better and Fin seems very fit also. Looking forward to Pike O Blisco Big Thanks
Good morning Craig
Thank you for the beautiful long walk love the beautiful views and Finn of course you should try and go to the Peak District sometime for walk I go sometime with my partner and my nephew but can’t walk to far has my disability won’t let me walk to far like you love doing photography to thank you for sharing Craig have gd day Trace 😊
Some times I can be lost for words, just want to thank you for your superb vlogs, you inspire us all. Through thick and thin, you'll always have our support so keep those vlogs coming. The views from Brown Howe are spectacular. 👍😊
Well, what can I say about this channel, it's absolutely amazing, our son Wesley Morgan put us on to your channel one week ago as we are all keen walkers, we live in Barrow so not far from the lakes so on our door step, we can't stop watching your videos as every one we see we have done but still love to see them, we've done all the tops and wainwright, outer fells and we still enjoy seeing them, so I would just like to thank you so much for your videos as there well though out, such beautiful memories for us, keep doing what your doing and might even meet you on one some day!!! 🙏👌😁X
My co workers and I call you the Rick Steves of the Wainwrights. Thank you for the excellent content!
Appreciate the regular videos, a really calming watch on a Sunday evening……better than any of that dross on TV 😊
😅No way am I ever getting through that squeeze! Another fantastic video. I love how Finn knows which path to take!
Another stunning video. Shows you don't need to hike 3000 feet to get bonkers views.
We incorporate Blea Tarn and Gt. Langdale in a walk starting Elterwater, Skelwith and Colwith Force, south of Langdale Tarn, Blea Tarn, down to the campsite and follow Cumbrian Way to Elterwater. With a few ups and downs along the way, it's surprising how many feet you climb in the day. Agree 100% that the views from Side Pike are stunning
Loved this one and even got a bit emotional with you. 😢 Could just squeeze that cute Fin ❤
Top walk. One of many when I am staying in Langdale, a great area for mountain walkers!
Cracking Vlog. Great route and great views throughout. I tagged Lingmoor fell onto Black Fell and Holme Fell. Much better to do it by itself via your route. You see much more. Cheers for the vlog.
Great to see the views that we should of had on the black mass 22 meetup Great meetup tho 👌 thanks again for getting out and doing the wainwrights 😊
Another great walk, Glenn. I enjoyed the waffleage too and don't go worrying about getting emotional, it happens to us at some point or another on a fell-walk. 👍
Good job Glenn. I can’t believe I’ve never checked out Blea Tarn and Lingmoor considering how often I’ve been to the Langdale valley. It all looked beautiful and what a great advert for anyone from outside the UK. Keep them coming and look after that toe. 👍
Am sure once spring arrives your vlog will encourage a whole host of new walkers to this area of great natural beauty 😊
Just AWESOME-NESS!! There was so much to see on that hike.. think am going to watch it again! Congrats that your toe was SO much better and allowed you to hike in comfort! Love you Finn-mister! Thanks for sharing! Love from the USA!!
In my opinion this walk was one of the very best. It had everything great stuff!
Heyy Glenn and Finn what a lovely walk beautiful scenery, glad your foot is better, thanks for sharing stay safe
Some of the best scenery in The Lakes. We did that walk, albeit the other way round, about 6 years ago. Took some of my best photos. Only issue we had was on getting down to Blea Tarn Cottage, went to put the dog on the lead to go along the road.....no lead! Had to back track up to Lingmoor Fell where we'd eaten our lunch, fortunately found it but the trek back up was painful!
Absolutely fantastic Glenn n Fin, this has to be my next walk, thanks for sharing you are an inspiration
Oh wow Glenn you’ve just made my Sunday thank you for this fabulous vlog with Finn you never disappoint not ever and bless your heart ♥️ for the emotion I get like that when I go home to the pennines throws up all memories and the sheer beauty takes one’s breath away!!! Please never say you waffle you do not the banter is brilliant 🤩 one of the things I love most about your channel and so informative because I learn so much from you so thank you ☺️ glad toe is nearly fully recovered upwards and onwards Glenn xx
Another fantastic Sunday video of the lakes. It's a must watch for me and our buds 🐺, I now put the videos up on our TV screen. Love the waffle and all the info with knowledge of the area and esp the photography 📸 bloody fantastic.
So nice too se you and Finn.😊
Wow, exquisite. Thank you so much for sharing another stunning walk 🙏
Great video today Glenn, cheers! one of my favourite places iin the Lakes x
Really enjoyed it Glenn . Ive been there before but not for quite a while and didnt recognize it straight away. but as soon as you got to the trees it clicked lol! Beautiful walk mate totally loved it.😎👍
Thanks Glenn. I did this walk today - as a result of your video. I wanted a lower level route because of the weather forecast and this looked perfect. And it was. Sure it was very clagged in and very wet but your video was my inspiration and my guide. Thanks again
I remember approaching "The Squeeze" with some apprehension on the Black Mass but managed to get through 🤣
Sat there many many times on the shore of blea tarn looking towards the Langdale pikes . Special place. I like going to the squeeze on lingmoor fell
Absolutely stunning, as always, mate! Thank you for sharing all these fantastic walks with us.
Possibly your best video ever. So beautiful… thank you. 🙂xx
Stunning Video accompanied by great commentary. Just so easy to watch & enjoy, you make it feel like we are there with you.
This was a lovely walk! Had to hold my breath as you went through the squeeze. Thank you for the stunning views. - 0ntario Canada

Great vid stunning walk 👏👏👏
I think this one of your best videos, amazing views , felt the pain in the squeeze . Def be joining blackclan when then membership option available. Thanks again glen
Great video as always and another one for me to add to the list
Glen you are the GONADS, thank you so much on this wonderful route, I have added thee route to my favourites and will hike these in the next few weeks.
I love the way you explain your walks good on you mate
Great video again Glen ...love ❤these every week ..
Hi Glenn. Brilliant mate. I did Lingmoor and Side Pike a few months ago on a little bit of a different route. I agree with you, Side Pike is a banging little hill, with stunning views. All the very best and thank you for sharing as always your adventure, Dave.
I did part of this walk last October. Looking forward to another trip in the Autumn.
Thanks for showing us this walk. Have been to Blea before but not this walk, definitely going to do this. Completely agree with you on the drinking, can’t imagine what happens as you get older.
Superb video. The drone footage was insane. This route is top of my Summer to do list as I'd love to visit when the heather is in bloom. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next one as always 😊
Hi, I chatted with you as you walked through the National trust campsite where we were staying in our motorhome. We are back there next week so we may head up to Lingmoor fell after watching your video.
Outstanding mate, awesome from start to finish.
I’ve loved watching this as it brought back memories of doing this hike a few years ago. I want to back and do it again now. I enjoy your videos so much, thank you 😊
Absolutely brilliant Glenn, great video and even better when it's made by a genuine nice guy 👌👍
Good morning Glenn and Finn, after seeing this video I decided to treat my other half, with a dodgy knee, to a ride out to the Lakes. Little Langdale with a stop at the Three Shires Inn for lunch, highly recommended, then to Blea Tarn for an easy going walk. The feeling of calm and wonderment was just as you described and two of the best hours we have experienced in a long time.
Thank you Glenn.
Thank you very much, that's super generous of you 😊 🙏
Another lovely walk. Thanks very much :)
Beautiful video as always Glenn 🙏 Third watch this evening (after twice yesterday on Patreon). That b-roll was spectacular; off the chart 📈🤯
I like all you're videos you do. But this was stunning 😍 it's definitely a walk I will do. Thank-you. Simply amazing xx
Another great walk xxx
Another great vlog, thankyou. I'm doing a 'to do' list for the year and will definitely be doing this in August. Have a good week!
Once again another superb video, thank you so much.
Don’t tell them there is a national trust car park right next to blea tarn , don’t tell um it’s a must 🤣 one of my favourite places. We was there just after new year , we did it the other way round . And yes it a nice little swim (dip) not to deep but a bit dark with peat. And a nice pint of peculiar in the ODG
love your videos glen. what a great walk
Stunning video 😍😍 myself and hubby went through the squeeze… goals! Ha ha! 40th Birthday trip to the Lakes with a swim in the Tarn in October. Was a beautiful gift 🎁 from my husband, had a great time. BW, Sarah
What a fantastic route that is. I just downloaded that for our next trip in April. Thank you so much.
Love these beautiful hikes, England is lovely I wish to visit it someday.
Beautiful walk and I loved the shots of the Langdales and the Mickledon Valley. Here's hoping I experience it myself when walking the Cumbria Way in a few years. Can't wait.
I noticed in your last video you were huffing and puffing quite a bit, but on this one not so much, so seems like you're getting your fitness back to what it was. It doesn't take long and with all these hikes, I'm sure you're in good shape. 💪
Wonderful stuff.
