really wanting to hike up here! I did another Black Crag walk a few weeks back, over towards Lingmoor Fell. Had my eye on Bow Fell all bloomin day haha.
Being dead would certainly not be good! 😵💫The sound of your footsteps in the snow is refreshing. We appreciate you going to places that some of us can't go. You have sense enough not to tread a dangerous path and still maintain a great vlog content, loving the wintery landscape, You are a very fortunate man to experience these magnificent mountains. Thank you Glenn.
I agree this should be a tv series. The fells look absolutely stunning with the snow on them. The sheep as well, which goes with the scenery. Glen, you just have that voice which calms you down on a Sunday evening. Look so forward to your walks. Thank you. ❤
The 360 degree footage is world class. The music matches perfectly and the shots of Sca fell & Scafell Pike are absolutely unreal. Exposed rocks / crags plus snow with the light rolling over make the best views of the mountains. Some day!
@31:36 when you did the 360, Whilst seeing all the names of the pikes, crags and gables with the snow on them, the stunning beauty and ruggedness of the views, (Full screen makes this like I was there) I literally had tears rolling down , it bought such emotion from deep within. I have never had that experience before . Thank you.
Brilliant example! I was wowed by this video. The magnificence and splendour came across. Me personally as a 49 year old man, I ain’t going up any high fells in winter or Snow! Grateful for your wonderful efforts and your interning commentary
Another visual treat. A real RUclips weekly highlight for me now. Take care though Glen, I shouldn't think a broken ankle up there on your own would be any type of fun.
What came out on the camera? Beauty. Loveliness and views that took my breath away. A Sunday without a marvelous Black Crag video is not really a Sunday I want to experience. So, imagine my joy when I saw this beauty on RUclips this Sunday. I've been a fan now for over a year and one day, I hope to be able to become a member of the Black Clan. Grizzley Gaz recommended your channel to me. I am so glad I clicked on it. From the very first video of yours I was hooked.
Brill brill brill Glen. So glad you used your common sense and retraced your steps when you felt uncomfortable. You’re still the right side of the grass thankfully!! Cheers
Terrific video Glenn. Funny enough my wife and I were hoping to climb Crinkle Crags and Bowfell on Sunday. Unfortunately many others had a similar idea and when we arrived at the car parks around 10am they were all full. We headed back to Ambleside and walked the Fairfield Horseshoe which was great. One day I’ll get up Bowfell. Keep up the good work 👍
What a day indeed! That 360 at the top of Bowfell was wonderful. An epic piece of film in a winter wonderland of Lakeland beauty. You're blessed to have caught it on an amazing day in what looked like almost perfect conditions in true fell walking country. Thanks for sharing
Absolutely stunning and great views too, l love it around there, fantastic views all round, we look forward to seeing your videos Glenn, you should have your own program on TV, 👌🙏 x
Finally completed a lifetime ambition, and over to Cumbria 3 weeks ago. I'm guessing that around when this was filmed, because a few days after we arrived, there was a run of 2-3 days of this weather. The snow covered fells (especially Skiddaw from where we are) were just magnificent. I'd planned to get out for my first proper walk today, but I've had a bit of a fever all day. At least I know they're now only a few minutes away 😊
One of your absolute best Some of the best photos Commentary had some classic voice changes in scardy cat mode😂 thank you for your hard work and entertainment 👍
Great decision to reverse on the Traverse! ......... when the gut begins to throw out warning rumbles... take heed! I think you were looking at the same view (24.30) I and a few friends did this route back in Dec.2008. Looks utterly different and forbidding.
I love all your videos (especially the snowy ones) but this is hands down the best video you've done in my opinion. Honestly the scenery was overwhelming.
I'm new here, slowly working my way through some of your videos, I don't normally comment but just thought I'd post up and say I really like your content and how you present it. This one in particular was EPIC, those snowy tops were insane. I did Helvellyn via Striding Edge in similar conditions earlier this year (possibly around the same time you filmed this) and every few seconds I was audibly saying "wow" or "I don't think I'm still in England" and every time you said "sorry for keep saying wow" it reminded me of that (and also don't apologise, it's worthy of the wow!) Anyway, thanks for the awesome vid(s)
I love it. I once walked up from that pub to the top of Scafell and back. And the pint of Theakstons old peculiar was utter bliss. Wish I could still walk.
It’s a beautiful part of the world, I’m lucky it’s on my doorstep, I’m 62 and fortunate to still be very fit and able to do these yomps, I did striding edge and swirrel on Sunday with my grown up son. It fantastic to be able to watch Glenn and Finn.👍
Interestingly if you took any one of those so called “ hills” and put it down in the middle of my state here in Alabama…it would be the tourist attraction of the whole state ….and it would indeed be categorized as a legit mountain! I mean I could definitely think this was in the Colorado Rocky Mountains! Spectacular and beautiful MOUNTAINS! 🏔️
Hi Glenn from sunny newcastle. 😅 Thank you so much for that video , I have been following you for a long time now and your professional and enthusiasm is always outstanding .This one is definitely up there as one of your best . I have walked some of that area but not in those conditions. This is the first time I have left a comment on your channel, however im sure lots of your followers , like myself really appreciate your hard work , great content, outstanding pictures and the way you do it . Take care mate
We absolutely love your videos. Any time off of work we try to get up there but when we can't, your vids transport us. Atmospheric, stunning footage and pics. Love your channel 👍😊
Was in Langdale 4 weeks ago and had now just like this up there. Amazing times. I also have found myself saying “Hello Herdy!” In that voice/accent and even accidentally said “vaaan”. 😮
Another fantastic video. Breathtaking views. Great commentary too, makes me want to grab me boots every time i watch these. Your doing a wonderful service for people who perhaps can no longer reach these spectacular highs. Your bringing the wilderness into lounges everywhere. Keep it up mate, utmost respect 👍
I recon you'd have enjoyed the traverse 😂. But yup. Safety, camera gear, it's OK to be cautious. Did that in winter conditions and a howling gale years back. Always wanted to return. Love the absolute unashamed enjoyment of the day. It's definitely like that when we get out in a good winter day. Hills become mountains for sure. Great film.
It is beautiful the contrast between the white snow and the blue sky with the clouds. Glad you were sensible and did the safer route. No RUclips footage is worth putting yourself in danger for.
Hi there Glenn. Absolutely wonderful video mate. I’ve done that exact same walk in the summer, although I didn’t do Rossett Pike. I did make it over the climbers traverse and up the great slab though. It’s a pity you couldn’t get up that way this time but you did the right thing. Thank you as always for sharing your amazing adventure. I hope the Finnmeister is doing ok. All the best Dave 😀🥾⛰
Loved this video mate. Looks like you absolutely did have one the best days in the fells! One which will have you stay buzzing about for weeks to come I bet! Very well put together video of your venture out too. Quality as usual! (Also, nice boots 😉🧐) 👍🏻
You picked a beautiful day for your walk. The second and last time I attempted to summit Bow Fell was in September 2022. We started off from the car park in shorts and tee shirts but as soon as we got below Three Tarns the heavens opened and we were beaten back despite donning our wet weather gear. There will be another time!
Mine and Steves favourite mountain bowfell. That whole area is really beautiful. Bit of tough slog to get up though even without the snow 😊😊 Fab video as always.
Tried to watch this on my night shift, but Alas had to wait until I got up worth the wait, though. Stunning. Did you really say " snow blindness is snow joke," 😀 or did I not hear correctly ? 🤔
It doesn't get any better than this , I'm glad you made the decision to change route, I was walking in the mickleden valley on this day , views were stunning and you've had the best of them.
Absolutely amazing. Nice sound. I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and the view point from place.Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower.
Throughly enjoyed this and what stunning scenery that you always capture so well. Nearly all my walks are in the Peak District or Snowdonia but this has given me the incentive to get up to the Lakes for my next and trips. Thank you.
Love the fells with their winter coat on. Seems to happen less frequently year after year so we've got to make the most of it when we can! Like the new logo by the way!!
Reading some of the comments below, you really could have your own TV series. Professional production, excellent content, charming character. All the ingredients are there. Someone mentioned the 360 clip, it was very moving with the music. So enjoyable 👍
Thank You, dear Glenn, for this magnificent stroll to Heaven, and back. I truly appreciate the effort, the stellar photography, your wisdom, and your high vibe when you reach your happy places. I personally didn't find the wind to be that bad, to be fair. LOL 😃
Amazing! We've just had 5 days in the Lakes. We had some of the best light that you talk about whilst walking up to the other Angle Tarn from Glenridding looking across towards the Helvellyn range. Took some wonderful photos. Like yourself, camera was in & out of the rucksack in between the showers when the sun highlighted the fells.
We literally LOVED this video! It is “Flippin’ gorgeous!” As you would say….and THANK YOU for using your head to stay safe, we watch this as much for YOU as for the views….we look forward to every video to visit with you, “our friend.”You make us feel like we are there with you…so KEEP SAFE first, take your time and take your photos-we are not missing a thing! Those photos are your livelihood young man…have a blessed day! Barb and Mike in North Idaho. (USA)
The trudge of doom looks good to me black Crag especially with two knackered knees nice and flat 🤣🤣 first operation on Thursday for a full replacement 🫣😬wish me luck.
Liking the new end music. Can’t beat the Lakes when you get those days. Unfortunately those days arrive so rarely. Sensible decision in the climbers traverse as significant exposure to trips and falls in those drifts. I was there all last week and must have missed the snow by days. Never mind ! The endless trudge of doom is for sure a long one, especially if you are heading to the new dungeon ghyll. Thanks as always for sharing.
I watched this whilst sitting in my van looking up at The Band and barely seeing a third of the way up with constant rain hitting the roof. On the one hand, I now hate you, but on the other thankful I could see what I was missing. Loved the video, loved the views, loved the photos but now hate you! 🤣 Take care 😁
Absolutely fantastic video, what a day!! We both agreed it was one of the best 👌 And to see Dungeon Ghyll in all its splendour was just lovely. One of our favourite haunts 🍺
Another brilliant video. Yes the long stretch back is utterly draining. I lost the will to live at one point 😂. However always a pub. Classic view's though bloody stunning 😍
Great video - mountains surrounding Mickleden are the best in Lakes when in snow for me. Mate and I finished 214 on Bowfell via climbers traverse and great slab. Best route up and great memories watching this video.
There's more snow in the Lake District than there is in Ottawa, Canada. Granted, it's about 600m higher there, but all winter we've only had about 100cm of snow which isn't a lot and it's been gone for about 3 weeks now.
Spent the day climbing Bowfell, come home to watch Glenn spend his day climbing Bowfell. Perfect day ❤
really wanting to hike up here! I did another Black Crag walk a few weeks back, over towards Lingmoor Fell. Had my eye on Bow Fell all bloomin day haha.
Quite simply the best video you have ever made. Incredible! Thanks for taking us with you.
This should be a tv series outstanding as usual. Thankyou.
interesting, I was thinking the same! 🙌

Wow! Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for taking us with you. Absolutely first class footage and film making.
I agree this should be a tv series. The fells look absolutely stunning with the snow on them. The sheep as well, which goes with the scenery. Glen, you just have that voice which calms you down on a Sunday evening. Look so forward to your walks. Thank you. ❤

Didn’t realise it was a hiking the wainwrights till the music kicked in, get in there gonna enjoy this
Oh Glenn, that was a good one.
Makes me nervous watching you walk in the snow , never mind walking it my self. Well done. Mega.
Highlight of our evening watching you 😄
This is the best thing I've ever seen on RUclips. As you would say, wow... just wow...!

It feels like heaven, you said, and it really is so beautiful. Thank you very much for taking us along 👏🙏🏻😊.

Panorama from Bowfell worth the price of admission alone. Out bloody standing. Well done mate!

Wow! The best one so far Glenn. Stunning views and just love all that snow 😍
Absolutely fantastic video , the light was amazing and those white peaks were... i have no words.😊
what a day - thats also one of my favourite fells -I did it mid summer and it was a bit warm. The conditions and views you had were just epic!
Love the line “Lets just listen to nothing for a bit” l know exactly what you mean 👍
Our hills here in West Sussex are about 250m high, so those there are definitely mountains as far as I’m concerned 😅
We absolutely love your videos. Any time off of work we try to get up there but when we can't, your vids transport us. Atmospheric, stunning footage and pics. Love your channel 👍😊
An absolute epic day out mate, completely spectacular and positively Alpine! One of the best you've done! Will be watching this again and again.. ❄️😎👍

What a sick view up there. I’m glad you’re still living!
The beauty brings tears to my eyes, even just looking at it on an old iPhone.
Wonderful and joyous! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.

Ya said if ya took a photograph ya could tell.folk it's Switzerland!! Enough said !!! The Lakes is simply sublime ❤ 🎉😊
28:08 by the looks of it a LOT of people have trekked through that snow
Fantastic video and amazing footage on the tops! We love your channel, very insightful and useful for our hikes. 😊
You picked a beautiful day for your walk.

very brave man
God, you're soooo lucky to have that on your doorstep....😍
once again amazing views and running commentary from you Glenn quite envious I wasn't there also

Right call regarding the climbers traverse. It didn’t detract at all from what must be one of your finest ever videos. Thank you.
Outstanding Glenn lad. Thanks.

So enjoyable 👍
Awesome love the fell tags, they are great photos in them selves. Was up there last week but I cheated going up from Wrynose..😂
Good shout on the traverse. 360 is amazing 😊
Fantastic, stunning, professionally done, shall I go on ? Safe to say I'm a fan.
The blokes wasted on here.
Wow what a beautiful snowy walk thank you for the walk Craig looking forward to the next one 😊
The Valley would be great skiing
Wow Glenn, one of your best. You brought back many happy memories of one of my favourite routes. Cheers!
Youve had such a great winter day in the epic mountains of the lake district im really jealous 😅 hope you enjoyed that pint 👍
Your best to date Glen but I'm sure there's better to come with the level of professionalism you show TOP MAN
Thank You, dear Glenn, for this magnificent stroll to Heaven, and back. I truly appreciate the effort, the stellar photography, your wisdom, and your high vibe when you reach your happy places. I personally didn't find the wind to be that bad, to be fair. LOL 😃
Thanks for sharing. So many great memories of my ride the year before. What a ride this is. Real Bucket List stuff. Well done!
You have created some amazing video’s but I have to say this is quite possibly your greatest to date. Loved it.
I’ve just started my own channel after watching your videos inspired me to try do it my self love all your videos there amazing

On the one hand, I now hate you, but on the other thankful I could see what I was missing. Loved the video, loved the views, loved the photos but now hate you! 🤣 Take care 😁
Quality vid my friend. You did the right thing too, that was just a little on the sketchy side
Absolutely fantastic video, what a day!! We both agreed it was one of the best 👌 And to see Dungeon Ghyll in all its splendour was just lovely. One of our favourite haunts 🍺
WOW ...This one is amazing Glenn...the right call was made but took nothing away from the video...💪🏻👍🏻😀👍🏻
I recall 30+ years ago going up Esk Pike on a really warm day in early June and finding a
huge patch of snow and ice.
Brilliant mate looks flipping awesome up there love it
Another brilliant video. Yes the long stretch back is utterly draining. I lost the will to live at one point 😂. However always a pub. Classic view's though bloody stunning 😍
Mate, you are class! Fantastic video the best yet. Inspiring but good call on taking the safer routes. Thanks for sharing.
Great video - mountains surrounding Mickleden are the best in Lakes when in snow for me. Mate and I finished 214 on Bowfell via climbers traverse and great slab. Best route up and great memories watching this video.
Love the music at the end 👍
Absolutely stunning video Glenn, really enjoy your snowy adventures on the fells.
1 hour! I'm so excited.
There's more snow in the Lake District than there is in Ottawa, Canada. Granted, it's about 600m higher there, but all winter we've only had about 100cm of snow which isn't a lot and it's been gone for about 3 weeks now.
That 360 from the top of Bowfell was 🤯
So good, I had to rewind it and watch it twice in a row.
What a perfect day you had for it 👌
