This video will teach you how to change the animation scale on Firestick and Android TV/Google TV devices.
Changing the animation scale speeds user navigation within the launcher. Switching between pages and menus within the launcher will be much quicker once you make these changes.

I noticed the Downloader problem right after the first video, but it worked fine when I changed animator_duration_scale to 0.5. The other two remain at 0.0, and I haven't seen any issues yet...

Has anybody had problems with their sticks after applying these changes? I did 3 sticks and all went smoothly, and they were all blisteringly fast. Unfortunately, the next day one of the 3 sticks was in a very nasty "boot loop" that has resisted ALL attemps at resussitation! It may be just a councidence - the only thing I did with the stick (other than the 3 lines of transition code) was I swapped the stick stick to a different hdmi port to make room for a new "cable" streamer that my company gave me. 😢

The 0.0 issue caused my FilmPlus app to not opening the subtitles. Changed to 0.5 fixed it.
With the omn sticks and box is there a way to remote access it ,I know with firestick it's complicated

Can anyone tell me how I can get my cursor in Downloader to move where I need it to in order to select an option? The animation speed was changed from the directions from one of these previous videos, making it jump from one side of the screen to the other, I cannot navigate cleanly to one particular location. So now l can't select ADB in order to install it and make the needed changes to fix it. I do not have a USB mouse atm either & the firestick app is no help. Thx

Hi, more than likely since Fire OS is built off Android TV it's the same settings as that which is 1.0. You can always go in and change via ADB to whatever value you would like which I show toward end of video.
Not working for me and I have OS 6 but I also had good movement with going from one thing to another so guess I didn't need to do this.
Troy do you know a way of increasing buffering on a Google TV? My Sony suffers from buffering when running streaming apps.
Hello this is usually one of two things. 1. Poor download speed on your device. Check this with the free app called Analiti available in both Amazon App Store or Google Play. 2. You are using free streaming links that are overloaded with traffic.

i followed instructions on 2 fire sticks successfully, however on the third one it sticks on trying to load the input never but never gets there. The third stick is a little older then the other two but I understood you saying it works on all fire sticks. Any suggestions on getting it to work on this one?

After I typed settings global blah blah blah … I hit next instead of run and I got a second prompt and now when I hit run nothing happens, I tried deleting the second prompt unsuccessfully 🤷 never mind, I entered a typo in the command line which I fixed already 👌

We used to have that in the TROYPOINT Toolbox but there are a lot of items in there that don't work anymore at all and some were complaining about it bricking their Firesticks so I got rid of it.

Editing instructions did not work for me. Opening ADB Shell takes me directly to local host. If I connect and long press the remote, only the global animator setting shows up for editing.
Hello, if that's the case you will need to re-type the other two settings. Maybe the first time that you did it, you only did the one entry.
Never thought these applications actually worked
This process does work and you will see a difference guaranteed.

If you are running an older Firestick this probably won't work. Anything Fire OS 6 and higher should work. You can see what version you are using by going into Settings/My Fire TV/About.

What version of Fire OS are you running? You can check by going into Settings/My Fire TV/About. You will see it under Software.

So I went back and turn on ADB option in settings and now the 3 commands I entered in ADB SHELL are not there. Did they erase because I turn off ADB in settings?
Thislng is ive done added my wmail for the list 10 times and still have yet to receive one email with all the best apps as you say🤦
This means your provider blocked it or you have already subscribed in the past.

Yes it should still work. Different Fire OS versions, that's all.
'mantis' is the code name for the standard 'Firestick 4K' (2018 edition), which uses FireOS 6.
And Yes, the 'Remote ADB Shell' commands will work. Just make sure that you have 'ADB Debugging' toggled on in your Settings. 👍

No, you do not have to connect to a PC. I would suggest restarting your firestick, then try again
A few things. 1. Did you turn on ADB in Dev Options? 2. Not sure this works on older Fire TV devices such as Fire OS 5 and prior. You can see your Fire TV OS by going into Settings/My Fire TV/About and see what Software Version you are on. If it's 5 it probably won't work but you can try updating.

🔥🔥🔥 IMPORTANT: You may have already used our old video to do this. The settings covered in past video resulted in a problem within Downloader app with pointer in browser mode. Please watch this new video and update your ADB settings accordingly.
How can I access ADB on Downloader if I can't scroll my cursor to where I need to? It is jumping from one side to another and won't allow me to pinpoint where i need to select

Hello, that's an impossible task as most of those problems originate on the server you are pulling streams from.

Hello @rob3254 one of the following. 1. You need to enable ADB in Dev Options. 2. You are using an old Firestick with Fire OS 5. I believe ADB commands are only suported on Fire OS 6 and higher. You can check your Fire OS version in Settings/My Fire TV/About

Hello, one of two things is the culprit. 1. You didn't turn on ADB. 2. You are using an old Firestick with Fire OS 5 that doesn't support ADB commands. Also, try restarting your device.
After making these changes by following your instructions, do I then now need to keep the ADB running all of the time? If I open the Background Apps and Process List app, do I always keep it on here?
No, you don't need to leave the ADB app open. These are permanent setting that you are adding to Fire OS. You can obviously change them by doing what I do at the end of the video though.
