My home town ... beautiful place to live .
Mine too and I was there again for the first time in 57 years just 3 months ago. I’m coming back again next year😁
Avon beach and mudeford is absolutely beautiful.
Stayed there in May, near the church tower off the High Street. Loved it. Definitely going back.
I would love to live here ❤
Great video I love Christ church beach ❤
You missed looking round the mill, (mind your head). Interesting view from the second floor looking down from above. I mentioned in another video too, do the walk along the river round the back of the priory, it's beautiful.
Have you done Hengistbury Head yet with its amazing views?
I live nearby. I never been up in the castle, only recently visited the priory twice, I am going back to again.
Lovely to see historic Christchurch in the days when there were still Yellow Buses and a NatWest branch. It’s a lovely town and I wish I still lived there.
Hmm Living Here Is Nice.
Thanks for posting this it brought back some good memories, I used to often cycle from Bournemouth to Cristchurch after exploring the area on My bike. It was one of My favourite places to go. Lots of history, the ruined Medeival Banquetting Hall and the adjacent ruined castle Keep as well as the church too and the harbour is lovely too. I also used to cycle to Hengistbury Head on warm sunny days too. I do miss living in that area.
Lived in Wick Lane (top end) for a couple of years. Loved the priory and the waterfront.
Love this video . Loved Christchurch when I visited there in 2003 . Lovely place. There is an instrumental song on You Tube called Memories of Christchurch. { 3 mins. 07 secs. }
When I was a bus conductor in Bournemouth in the early 70s the service toChristchurch (think it was route No1) terminated in the High Street at what is now a car park at the rear of HSBC. The bus was rolled onto a turntable which was turned manually so that said bus was facing in the right direction to head back to Bournemouth. Looks tight but it happened. Obviously all of that has now been removed, but what memories. Thanks for sharing your walk through Christchurch!
I used to walk past the old bus depot on Rutland Road on the way to school.
It was the No1 also the 21 which went via Southbourne. You mention the turntable at the back of HSBC were you aware of the turntable located in courtyard behind the chicken and blues restaurant. It is still there.
I’ve never heard of a bus on a turntable! You’re welcome!
@@explorizmtv 😂To be more precise it was for the old electric buses that used the overhead cables.
Turntable is still there in the car park of an office block. I remember the trolleybuses being turned there.
Looks a nice town just had lovely2 weeks at studland the old ruins looks just like corfe castle
used to come to Christchurgh in the early 1950s and help turn the troly buses round on the turntable where i think the new buildings on the right are, over all it looks much the same not like a lot of towns.
❤️❤️❤️
You'll have to return later in the year when the Stour and Avon are in full flood. The Avon gets very flooded just east of the Waitrose supermarket.
Great video, just subbed, been to Christchurch a few times now 😊
Thank you and thanks for the sub. Snoop around… there’s loads to see 👍
@@explorizmtv will do 👍
Wen you came down from the great tower, you really should have turned right instead of going back into town. There is a lovely stream side walk that would have led you to the priory !
Next time 👍🙂
Made a change from Westover Road!!!😃
Hahaha true
Thanks for all the videos. If you need to choose the airbnb location for quick vacation among: Christchurch, barton on sea and new milton - what would you choose? :)
Christchurch for sure!
BCP Conurbation is a City Proper for sure !! From Highcliffe, which is the most easterly burb of Christchurch and most easterly part of the conurbation across to say Upton Poole (the most westerly part of the conurbation) is a good 40/45 minute in traffic and 17.2 miles !! BCP is always quoted as having 45000 people which is total lies !! It’s got to be at least 600000 plus easily !!
Yes it's a huge catchment area for sure!
The bank wasn't open, by the way; it's just the lobby where the cashpoints are🏧
Christchurch council is now part of bop council.
Those beautiful Georgian buildings...all paid for from the profits of smuggling...shush.
