Sad it was even a debate. Mexico if was only a vacation yeah I'd invest in house first (even though travel a passion) but its taking son to see grandpa. Happy she has left him and happily remarried.
Yeah I thought that too. Also, I have seen on this show people used a loan to pay for the down payment on their homes! That is a big no no here in America. I wonder if in Canada the requirements are not as strict as America.
He was fun to watch and love his positive outlook. Hope, however, that he learned the lesson and STOPPED buying ish to impress people in whole other country!!! Geezzzz
I don’t like their debt, but I love his can do attitude! This is why the people from Mexico are the hardest working people in the US! I know this is a Canadian Show.
People live right on the edge of their budgets & when the wife is again pregnant you lose the 2nd income. You don't drive an expensive vehicle whilst you have a huge debt but that car soon loses value & the lustre of looking nice soon after. A car is a car & it gets you from point A to point B. Look at Running Costs Vs Purpose & you soon realize a smaller car does the same job as a huge gas guzzler.
I wonder how old these shows are. I have watched quite a few of them and I always wonder what $125 for groceries (and all the other categories) would be in today’s market.
This is not a husband that will make you financially stable. He will be your downfall and will get into debt. You will retire broke and penniless with a husband like him sadly.
I think he wanted a bigger house to get his father and maybe his brother too to leave with them. The mother was already leaving with them. Mexican families are used to leave all together.
There was this SNL skit after the Detroit 3 bankruptcy that was the CEO of GM with his plan on how to make it through the next 5 years, and every 3 months he was planning on getting a government bailout. This guy’s plan for getting rid of the debt kinda reminds me of that.
I saved $10K a year by quitting smoking (my wife and I) and switching internet/cable/cell phone providers. I am retired and every dollar counts. No opportunity for overtime for me.
I dont know who painted those walls, but apparently they never heard of painters tape or a wet rag. All the money spent to show how great they are living, but paint is smeared all over the wood work and mantel.😩
I wonder if they’re still together and does she not have a say in what they’re buying and how much they’re spending because why would you need a bigger home?
Watch the episode of this show on the couple who were trying to do it, and the debt they got themselves in. Unfortunately not everyone is cut out to be a property mogul.
1 million for retirement lolloI In Canada I think the dream of retirement where you just pursue all the stuff you couldn't do while working is dead. On my math based on our lifestyle. We have a budget meeting at least once a week-we'd need 2 million not including the house value is what we'd need to retire in 2024 still working gigs to keep our standard of lifestyle (we work from home, I'm a chef and do all our meals and make products stores charge too much for, if we need something we try to thrift it first. We have many friends that have gigs to make property taxes and emergency repairs etc. in retirement so if your young plump up your pensions and prepare to learn a task to make $$ to pay for big $$ things in retirement

Yes they are still together! mind your own business!
They divorced a while ago. She is a well known personal trainer in Toronto and lives with a different guy
@@LS-xq5nfwhat about David?
@LS-xq5nf does she have an Instagram account?
How would they even qualify to buy a bigger house and not have any plans for a down payment? 🤦🏽♀️ I hope he stops being so cocky and that they prioritize their son always over all the material things.
That interest they fork out makes me sick to think about it. And it’s not even my debt ! 😳
Yes! Thank you 😊
Gail should do this show now😅 with the prices would be interreting in 2024
She walked away years ago
He might have been part of the problem, but I can see why she fell in love with him. He's a very likeable guy. Cute couple--i hope the keep on track and get out of debt.
Nooo....he's creepy.😆🦘
They are divorced. She's remarried.
Sad it was even a debate. Mexico if was only a vacation yeah I'd invest in house first (even though travel a passion) but its taking son to see grandpa. Happy she has left him and happily remarried.
1:50 I admire them for being ambitious. But they gotta slow down. They got one house here. Another house there. Like, guys slow down.
I really like these 2..i hope they make it
They didn't
He’s terrible! Ahe should leave him without a doubt
If he was working hard he would be earing twice as much
$4600 a month over what they make ?????? Craaazzzzzy!!
We don't even bring in that much a month....
@@samanthafreeman4315they didn’t either they were using charge cards!!
…So you can shop for/ buy a house before you’ve saved the down payment????
Cuz the house iS tO sMaLl. How?! That house was fine!!
Yeah I thought that too. Also, I have seen on this show people used a loan to pay for the down payment on their homes! That is a big no no here in America. I wonder if in Canada the requirements are not as strict as America.
Yep and I definitely know people who've used a loan to pay towards their down payments.
@@ladyj71107 I know they take cash advances on credit cards and use that as a DP!!! So crazy to me😭
Maybe construction has not started yet.
He was fun to watch and love his positive outlook. Hope, however, that he learned the lesson and STOPPED buying ish to impress people in whole other country!!! Geezzzz
He didn't
I don’t like their debt, but I love his can do attitude! This is why the people from Mexico are the hardest working people in the US! I know this is a Canadian Show.
Ah the relief of being on track to a happy financially fit future! Well done Gail.
I live about 150 km north of Toronto. Family of 4, we spend about $200/week on groceries.
This is not a husband that will make you financially stable. He will be your downfall and will get into debt. You will retire broke and penniless with a husband like him sadly.
Most people don't change they get worse
I changed but it required determination, hard work and not falling back on bad habits.
Somebody got a green card.
He came from cancun and wanted to live a rich life but I bet when it’s all gone he would be going back without her
Shame this guy seems like a nice guy if not for the psychological complexes of insecurities and feelings of inadequacy that makes him ostentatious.
what a lovely couple
No more
We’re really home theaters $30k in the early 2000’s? I had no idea😮
Don’t get a new house
I think he wanted a bigger house to get his father and maybe his brother too to leave with them. The mother was already leaving with them. Mexican families are used to leave all together.
He's pretty arrogant for being broke.
Wish i could buy a model home for 380,000$
Lucky grandma!!!!! Abuela!!!
Hahaha he thinks that Chrysler 300 is a nice looking car!
This was filmed about 15 years ago.
@@CDN1975And Chrysler (now part of Stellantis) stopped making the 300 (as well as the Dodge Charger and Challenger) last year.
There was this SNL skit after the Detroit 3 bankruptcy that was the CEO of GM with his plan on how to make it through the next 5 years, and every 3 months he was planning on getting a government bailout. This guy’s plan for getting rid of the debt kinda reminds me of that.
I really liked that.
I saved $10K a year by quitting smoking (my wife and I) and switching internet/cable/cell phone providers. I am retired and every dollar counts. No opportunity for overtime for me.
Rumour is that guys' hair is what sunk the Exxon Valdez
😂😂😂
"Esse quam videri," To be, rather than to seem. He would rather seem to be rich, than to actually be rich.
I dont know who painted those walls, but apparently they never heard of painters tape or a wet rag. All the money spent to show how great they are living, but paint is smeared all over the wood work and mantel.😩
@LELA NOEL Now I can only see the bad paint job!
Im not crying!!!!
What is his mother doing in Canada? Thought he was from mexico.
Champagne tastes on a beer budget. All flash; no cash.
This is what happens when your daughter goes on spring break.
Lmao 🤣
I wonder if they’re still together and does she not have a say in what they’re buying and how much they’re spending because why would you need a bigger home?
According to social media, nope, she's got a new husband.
Reminds me of a guy I work with.
You just know this won’t last. Sad.
With husband being so handy they definitely could make big money flipping houses.
Watch the episode of this show on the couple who were trying to do it, and the debt they got themselves in. Unfortunately not everyone is cut out to be a property mogul.
...aww...that's cute...
Have you forgotten the Housing crash of 2008 so quickly!
1.1 million dollars in 30 years won’t be that much
Inflation will eat that up
Now everybody back home can kmow u broke
Dave Ramsey says you can't make enough money to cure stupid
I love his can do attitude but damn its going to get them in trouble
They were coachable and did great!
The wife has absolutely no common sense
This guys plan for dealing with the debt? ESCAPING TO MEXICO
He dgaf
With the car.
This must of been before covid, they would be in more deep trouble
It’s a lifetime before before Covid. Early 00s
This episide is 13 years old in 2024.
