  • An expert on human performance and leadership with over 20 years of experience, Alan Watkins gives us a deeper understanding of human behaviour as he explains how to move outside our comfort zone and challenge our current beliefs in order to deliver at a new level and inspire others through our actions. Alan is recognised as an international expert on leadership and human performance. He has a broad mix of
commercial, academic, scientific and technological abilities. Over the past 20 years he has been a coach to
many of Europe’s top business leaders and worked with the GB Olympic squad, coaches and athletes prior to
    London 2012 and Rio 2016.
Alan was originally trained as a medical doctor at Imperial College in London and worked for 11 years in the UK’s National Health Service, largely in cardiorespiratory medicine as well as working for a year as a physician in Australia and a year in academic medical research in the USA. He ended up in Neuroscience research before leaving medicine to work predominantly with global business leaders 18 years ago. He is describing the hero's journey from joseph campbell's monomyth. Just google hero's journey and you'll get a template describing the steps.
Jordan Peterson delves a lot deeper into all of this.

Will there one day be a TEDx tak about how to ignore self-help talks and work out that finding how to deal with life on your own might bring its own reward?

Funny, my energy levels for this drivel completely tanked as soon as he started hawking a phone app a tool for the spiritual journey he claims is universal. How'd humanity get this far, all these aeons without a smart phone?

Self love........he seems to know a lot about the issue, i suppose someone that has helped "the powers that be" profit from human suffering would, this man does not care about people unless of course he has something to gain it seems.
