Ive been on this for 2 1/2 yrs now. I went from 232 to 112. My Dr freaked over seeing me. She thought I had cancer and was very sick. I feel great!! She wanted to know what I was doing and what do I eat? She said she never seen success like mine before. Im going on 60, I have lost huge amounts of weight in the past. 7xs I lost over 100lbs. Its very different this time. I want to enjoy it for as long as I can. The weight always came back. I hope because of this drug it wont happen. I hope this is my last time. Its very expensive to gain weight, and to lose weight. I dropped sizes so fast. I do like the low-carb way of eating. My body is much better without all the process foods. I still eat my faves, but I learned not to snack between meals. I learned what a serving is. Another big one for me was when I stopped going back for 2nds. I hope whoever is on this has great success too! Its not fun being the biggest one in the room. No matter where you are. I wish you many blessings on your way to be happy.

I’m on metformin for insulin resistance and high testosterone (I’m not diabetic) and let me just say. Do not diet strictly, I tried that and I was practically fainting from low blood sugar. It’s a diabetes drug so it lowers glucose and liver glucose production. You can diet in terms of eating healthy but make sure you eat a good amount when taking it.
I have been taking Metformin for about seven years. In February I ran out and didn’t take it for about a month. I noticed I was sleeping better. (I have sleeping issues like many.) After I began taking it again, I noticed my sleep was very sparse. I was tossing and turning all night long. I checked and sleeplessness is a symptom of this drug. I never look up symptoms when I begin a new medication. I wait until I have symptoms that I didn’t previously have before I check. My non-fasting numbers are good and stopped taking it again. I recently had surgery and shared this with the anesthesiologist and he said that he wasn’t aware of the sleeping issue with metformin. I don’t know if this is newer information, but this is not the first time I’ve noticed symptoms from a prescribed medication. Do your own research and advocate for yourself. Sorry to say, a lot of doctors don’t know what’s going on.
I’m not pre-diabetic or diabetic by any stretch. But after consulting with doctors in my fam, I’ve started taking Metformin 250mg a day for staving off aging (I’m 32) and I’m already finding a slight improvement in my skin tone. It could be my family genetics where everyone looks half their actual age on average, naturally, without facial procedures, or it could be Metformin who knows!😉
I remember seeing a couple studies that showed metformin either helps with long covid or helps prevent long covid, or maybe helps prevent covid infections altogether? I'm not sure which.
My wife is on metFormin. I got COVID end of July. The first two nights I was coughing while in bed. Tested the first day and was negative. 2 days later tested positive. I had symptoms for over three weeks. I was happy my wife didn’t catch it from me. Then a friend told me about her unvaccinated friend who travels a lot via airlines and never caught COVID. She also mentioned that the friend is on diabetes medication. So it could be a possibility that since my wife was taking metFormin, it helped prevent her from contracting COVID. 🙏

The doctor looks like he needs to take it. Our country is so ridiculous. You have doctors that are completely unhealthy prescribing drugs for people and people just obediently. Follow their advice without questioning why they’re so unhealthy.😢
Wow, you are very stupid. Did he prescribe it? How do you know the cause of his weight? You are clearly very unintelligent and arrogant. Rather be quiet.

How about working out eating healthy and fasting! You don't need the drugs people.
