  • Thanks for joining for another video on Friends Car Repair Corner.
Today, I am tackling the intake on my Ford Mondeo Mk4 2.0 TDCI 140bhp Titanium X.
It was a very messy job but totally worth it!

Great video. Thanks for sharing! I have a 2007 Mondeo Titanium X with the same engine as yours, and 222,000 miles young. :) running sweet with a remap and stainless exhaust.
Looking forward to seeing your channel grow!

i followed this to clean mine and it was very helpful. quick question, when you took out the cam shaft sensor does it need any adjusting to go back on or is it just push it in the hole and tighten it up because its got a slot and not a hole? atm the car is dead and im trying to go through it one by one to find out what i done wrong. cheers mate.

Hi quick question if you don't mind should the throttle body be open or closed when disconneted. As mine seems to be stuck in the open position. Ive taken it off to clean but still no movement any idea what the cause could be? cheers.

The throttle body doesn't work like on a gasoline engine. If you taking it off it should be open. It's there to prevent runaway and better sucking exhaust fumes from EGR.

Did you notice any changes after you cleaned manifold and if you did, can you describe them in the comments?

Hi, yes, noticeable improvement. Engine feeling a lot more responsive. It used to choke a little at high speeds. Now Nice pull throughout the rev range now in all gears. Definitely given me some ponies back!
