    Hi Jemma, 2 ways you can use the left over popcorn....
    Method 1: use as a 50/50 mixture with bread and make a popcorn - bread and butter pudding. Flavour the bread and butter pudding with caramel or salted caramel to create like a caramel popcorn flavour. The secret is to cut the bread into small pieces and bake the puddings in individual moulds.
    Method 2: Add a little brown sugar, butter and flour to the popcorn, (make like a loose rough biscuit dough) and bake the mixture in the oven at low temperature - basically to dry it out. Once its dry, crumble it or grind it fine (your choice) and use it as a sprinkle on top of your ice cream, sundae or even over some freshly popped popcorn.
    At least it saves throwing anything any away..... :)
    Hope these help.... enjoy

    I make a pie out of the popcorn pulp.
    Make a custard, mix in the pulp with some cinnamon and nutmeg, add it to a pie crust, sprinkle a little sugar on top and bake until golden brown.
    I call it Maistevlaai. it's a Dutch pun.

    For sweeter treats popcorn purée adds a nice element of saltiness to chocolaty treats. You can blend it up and add it to icing(which tastes quite good) it also works really well with savory dishes ecpsecally with chicken as a sort of sauce.

      I think it's the same burnt butter, that you've seen everywhere else, but this time it's been refrigerated so it's become a little thicker. In some of her other videos, when she prepares the burnt butter it is completely liquid.

    Maybe you could put the milky Popcorn into a pan so that as much liquid as possible dissolves and then - mixed with melted white choclate - it could form a cake base (preferably a no bake cake) ~ not sure if it would work though ^.^

    use the left over to make caramel barley?

  • @timgreen6384
    @timgreen6384 8 лет назад +1

    Maybe put the remaining popcorn on a cookie sheet, some brown butter and some brown sugar? Or how about mixing the remaining popcorn with sugar cookie mix (your receipt of course) a small amount of brown butter (more for colour then taste) then bake and then take out and will hot put candy cane crumble (not a lot just a little) on top then cool and Christmas flavoured cookies year round! The sugar cookie mix sounds more viable you will have to experiment, if you do contact me back so I can hear how my guess work went!

    Do you know a way to put sauce in ice cream like in some brands you can buy? they have kind of stripes of sauce inside. I just thought how great this would be with caramel sauce

    • @LaineyBug2020
      @LaineyBug2020 8 лет назад +1

      it looks thick enough you could do it in layers, put a layer down, put some sauce swirlies, another layer, more sauce swirlies, then give the whole thing a good marble swirly stir before doing the final freeze...

    I think that I'd rather lose some milk with the strained popcorn and make up the quantity with extra cream, rather than lose cream!
    I wonder if you could blitz the soggy popcorn and strain it, so that you get more of the soft puffed corn, without the hard bits, to put in the ice cream mix?
