The original BADASS!!! cause that's what it is. This really really makes my day its 5:30am and now im ready to start my day. I had the 92 with the lavender wheels but this is the one that got me started to dream about having one when i was 17.
Wow a beautiful survivor. A buddy of mine road from California to New Jersey and back to California on one about 6 years ago. He said other than the heat from the air/oil cooled motor frying him in traffic, he loved the trip! Fond memories for me as I was 19 when this bike came out. I learned how to tune mine and turned it into a cottage industry, tuning slab-sides in my dads garage. Made a lot of money at a young age working on these bikes. Thanks for sharing👍🏼
Theres a guy in NZ, he has a channel here on YT, with a Brand new 85 750 and a brand new 86 1100. He searched the world and found two zero miles bikes in a collection in Europe somewhere, and had them imported to NZ. He's changed the tyres, and fluids but everything else looks exactly like they did when they rolled off the factory assembly line.
Wow mine looked just like that I had one from 86-90. I put on a 4-1 yoshimura with a black canister a stage 3 jet kit and had my wheels painted white. Damn this brings back memories.
What a huge leap that bike made. The Yamaha FZ750 wasn't able to reign it in. I had one for my maiden visit to Roebling Road in March of '86. Scott Russell and Paul Bray were there. It was my first wedding anniversary too! She knew what she was getting into. What a joy it was to race. I could keep the throttle pinned from Turn 7 to the end of the front straight.

I have one, since 1987, love it. You have a nice one, My bike is not stock, a did have a supertrapp stainless steel exhaust no it, a stage 3 jet kit & a vance and hines timeing advance.
I had a new 1987 in the red and black, I loved that bike more then words could say, until I had a guy run over me from behind at a stop light , I stopped, he went to make it thru behind me but i was stopped...Awesome video beautiful bike brought back a lot of great memories... thank a bunch..
Not many left! I owned a 1990 750, I bought from a local guy that went into the Army and his father was handling the sale. The motorcycle only had 652 miles on it when I bought it. I only tooled around with it and sold it with 5,200 miles on it. Kind of with I never sold it. I had installed myself a Yoshi stainless steel duplex pipe with a carbon can. Carbs were jetted and individual k&n filters. Also installed an ignition advancer, tinted wind screen, and tail block off section. Yes I miss it, looked nice but hard on my wrists while riding. But only complaint.
I have the 2017 gsxr750 and I have started looking for an 80s early 90s 750. I did find a 1994 yzf750 and might go that way. Your bike is awesome. I started riding street on a 1985 ninja 600r that I bought new in 85.
Great video ! I have the same bike, but 100% Original stock, pipe and all. Same condition. There can not be many left in this condition. I have over $20k invested, probably worth half that. Never going to sell it. Nova Scotia , Canada.
I had a blue and white 86, bought brand new. Was a challenge to scratch the fairing bubbles in curves. Best tires have been Metzeler sport composition. At least I have crashed it 3 times. Wild times!
Would love to see Suzuki make a replica of this today, with inverted forks, modern wider wheels/tires and little bigger brakes/ Brembos and maybe loose the grab rail along with the rail holes.
I loved the Kawasaki ZXR 750. The one with the dual round headlights and the dual hoses that go from the tank to the fairing . Wicked looking. Rear suspension SUCKED, it was stiffer the 6am morning wood. Looked great, though.
I doubt I’ll get lucky enough since this was made years ago, but I was wondering if you know where I can get a template for this bike so I can make my own wraps and decals for this bike. I can’t find It anywhere
Bike sold a while ago. As for the directionals, they were with the bike when I got it. Kind of the standard back in the day. Not sure if they even make them anymore?
@@annamart36 The masters were upgraded to 01-04 Bandit or 99-07 Busa's, same look as OE but allow for a range of modern adjustable lever options. Sorry for the delay in response
Not original wheel color.....Lockhart turn signals........steel braid lines........ I replaced the carbs with Ninja 1000 cards, Hella differance !!!!!!!! :-)
I bought a U.S spec 86 750 that had been imported here to NZ, first thing i did was ditch the U.S spec CVs, and source some "rest of the world" spec 29mm flat slides, that woke it up a bit.
Agreed, but only when compared to what's available today ;) Back in the late 80's, these were the "go-to" replacements for the obtrusive OE directionals (which are included)

Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful classic race replica!! It brought back so many awesome memories. You have impeccable taste, sir.
That is the best example of an “original” GSXR I’ve ever seen. Absolutely beautifully preserved a d tastefully upgraded. 👍🏾
