      Pretty much. The scientists involved hypothize that the penetrating whale Grape t the other for dominance, but the media spin it into a positive to push an agenda and ignore the actual science.

    • @KangMinseok
      @KangMinseok 7 месяцев назад

      In this case, the scientists involved have clarified that it is their hypothesis that one of the whales was not a willing participant and the other may likely have been motivated by trying to establish dominance over a physically weakened competitor. I won't use the word, as it may get me deleted, but it starts with "r". This of course doesn't fit The Message, so it is not mentioned here. This is what we in the agenda-identification department call "lying by omission".

    It has long been acknowledge by animal behaviourists that many species exhibit what we label 'homosexual' behaviour. What is not also made clear is it is very common among adolescent males of a species, such as in bottlenose dolphins. I imagine a marine biologist may be able to gauge the age of these two handsome bulls but I have to wonder if they're not quite up to full on breeding age. It is also possible that they're just enjoying the close physical contact resulting in sexual arousal. Either way it is absolutely fantastic footage. Thanks so much Carlos.

      Nothing sexual here they did not mate. You can be affactionate with someone form the same sex only some civilizations are not used to it. In MENA it is the norm to hug and kiss your same sex friends and acquitances without any sexual connotations or desires. However, for animals and humans alike reproduction requires both genders and this shuts all other claims.

    • @lmp8932
      @lmp8932 Год назад

      Nothing sexual? Did you miss the erect penises rubbing against each other - a tad more sexual than hugging and giving your friends a kiss on the cheek! Intercourse is not a prerequisite for sexual gratification. Homosexual/homoerotic behaviour is seen in many species not just our own. They didn't 'choose the lifestyle', it is inherently genetic.@@hraslan

      Yes, animal scientists have documented and accounted for same sex behavior, but because of American religious influence in politics, much of this information wasn't made public until scientists in other countries documented the same things. I wonder when we will advance enough as a species to leave the fairy stories behind, especially when it infringes on scientic gain and public benefit...

    Male dogs may hump other male dogs as a display of social status or to establish control. The goal and the underlying cause of the behavior is to dominate another male, so humping serves as a way for one dog to say “I’m the boss here” and, again, doesn’t have anything to do with sexual behaviors of dogs. The whales may be displaying this behavior as an attempt to establish who is boss here. Just a thought.

      Nonsense, the humping is still sexual in nature even if its to display dominance.

      True, but humans have been socialized OUT of engaging in similar behaviors. In the stone ages I’m sure that basically the most alpha males would “do” who and whatever they wanted. Before the “rules” told them not to.

      @@isabelrodriguezsjolund9701animals dont enjoy sex. Whats so hard to get about that? Animals breed because of instincts not because they like it like us. This is an example of instinct making a mistake.
      Also dogs hump human legs? Does that mean they are attracted to human legs? Fk no man its just hormones and animals have no self awareness.

    Consulting a marine biologist for commentary is always preferred over the silly speculation from a guy with a drone.

      Curiosity, observing and recording behaviors, speculation, sharing videos, and such are steps we take towards finding answers. These are simply steps along the way, and steps most people won’t take in life. “A guy with a drone” and the ability to disseminate these videos can help people see what lies just beyond the surf.

    That's not mating behavior its dad saying high to his son that he hasn't seen for yrs. Just because I can say it, does not make it the truth. When you don't know if it is the truth, you should always start with (IMO) and end with (IMO). Stop trying to make your opinion the normal way people think about a subject. IMO Nature uses this to stop/slow the growth, are even kill off a species when said species has become a menace to nature are its DNA has become corrupted.
