  • Woodturning - Resin and Mystery Wood - Bluetooth Speaker
Something a little different this week.
I bought a Bluetooth speaker but found it looked a little boring and needed a 'cool,' wood turned, retro, gramophone horn, style upgrade.
As you can see in the video, the wood starts off quite light but end up being quite a beautiful hue. I don't know what it is but I will use this wood in the future!
What do you think of this project? Let me know!
The abrasive paste and polish I used I made according to instructions in a video by Deadwood Casting and Turning. It works REALLY well and costs a lot less than buying it ready-made. Thanks Deadwood!

Great example of taking something average and modern and giving it some class, love the choice of colour for the resin, i thought it was all wood by the thumbnail Like & SUB

Thank you so much for your encouraging comments. I was hoping for that old world charm style from a modern Bluetooth speaker 😁

Really a nice piece! I read liked the improvisation to add more resin and flair it out! Did you find out what kind of wood that was, or maybe you knew? You had said you liked it and was going to turn other projects from it.

Thanks Lantie. No I'm still not sure what it is. It was just in some firewood I collected. Yes I do have more to use- I like the way it looks when melded with resin and polished up.
