Made this Cell Phone Acoustic Speaker: Does it Actually Work??

I make and sell many of the cell phone accessory acoustic speakers. It is perfect for watching videos or movies while washing dishes, sitting at the table, on your desk at work. Yes, my wife uses it all the time when washing dishes so it holds it upright and she can hear it.

If I put my cell phone in sideways it doesnt change the sound, but if I put it in upside down straight up it does, why? The speaker is located in the middle near the top, it's a galaxy j7 cell phone

The speaker on that phone appears to be near the top above the power button on the side of the phone. Upside down puts the speaker facing the hole. That’s why it works in that position. The acoustic speaker is better suited for phones where the speaker is on the bottom of the phone. I have seen where others have taken my design and added a hole in the bottom for phones that have speakers on the side, such as is in your case.
