Stabilization when using super 35 24fps or 30 fps is ultra stable on the A7RV! It’s also 6k down sampled.

😂 I just put a YT video last night saying essentially the same thing. The A7RV is awesome in just about every scenario - even high ISO.

The A7R V is a really great camera, I got it after the FX30 for the multi-angle screen, Active stabilization and the 8K. The image quality from it is great, the white balance is so much better than the FX30 and the footage (SLog3) required much less editing, to the point where I tried out the S-Cine mode and wow, again beats the FX30. For a cinema camera, I was hoping the white balance would have been better. I did a few videos about my dislike of the FX30 colors straight out of camera, compared to my 8 bit Z6II (at the time). It would have been nice if they had also put the rear screen on the FX30 as the A7R V screen is slightly larger, with better resolution. For the EVF, if you are on the higher refresh rate, when focusing with a half press, the screen gets grainy, a bit of an annoyance when you pay for the higher resolution but can't always use it. Ended up trading it for the Z8 as it's a better performer on the video side, AF is about the same and stability seems close. One of the big reason to switch (other than a long term Nikon user), was the ergonomics. The small body would cramp my hand when I was out shooting photos with, I tended to use the rear screen even more than the EVF as its pretty good with all the angles it can work at.
I used it to create videos for my channel, in Chiang Mai Thailand and got hot camera warning if I would go beyond 15 minutes of recording, that was with AC running set for 82 degrees to cut down on fan noise. It can be used for content creation, some vlogging (worked nicely with the 24-105 OSS, but it is on the heavy side) and just walking around town shooting handheld. Catalyst Browse helps to smooth out the footage even more. It's a pricey setup if you aren't also into photography to take advantage of the 61MP sensor however, Sony has seen fit to drop some of the tech in this camera into the ZV-E1 and newer, lower priced bodies. If only I could get that mult-angle screen on my Z8, I wonder if anyone 3rd party company is going to be brave to create a retrofit to make this happen.

@@POW.CREEPER Yep, the FX30 is not a camera for beginners or someone that wants to just want a simple workflow. I think that was a failing on Sony's part, like the didn't do a lot to make it as great as it could be. That said, they probably was working on the A6700 and didn't want to give away too much on the FX30. I was hoping Sony would make the 3.2" screen from the A7R V a new thing across their lineup, sadly that didn't happen. The FX30 has the best 3" screen with 2.36 million dots, that's another reason I got it. Didn't go A7 IV as I dislike the screen size and resolution. The A7R V's screen design is really nice but, I think those will only go on the A1 and A9 bodies, the new A7 V, whenever it comes out will probably get the FX30's screen.
If BlackMagic Design could make a smaller sized camera with a 4" screen that can flip forward, that would get my attention. For now, the new Nikon Zf with it's tech is catching my attention. I kept the FX30 and I am hoping Soy can do something about the white balance soon, if not, I will be looking at something else.

No sport photo or something that need to be fast
I want a camera that gonna be great for a lot of years

Great performing cameras but I do hope Sony does a complete overhaul of their camera bodies (pleather grips, garbage LCD screens, double decker cake dials, dangling silver strap holders) and menu (fonts) very soon. They look like something from 1987, and not in a good way. So many nice cameras out there from Hasselblad, Fuji, Leica, even the R3. Sony usually makes beautiful electronics, but their cameras (at least from the top and rear) are not one of them. Time for a refresh.

This 100% it’s kind of crazy. Even the “new bodies” this year are absolute dog shit. I really hope their next few releases that aren’t shrunk down get new bodies as well that aren’t stuck in the 80s
