@@CarsForPaul I believe on newer iPhones, that use 5GHz for hotspots by default, you can turn on Maximize Compatibility for Personal Hotspot to use a 2.4 GHz connection. Your phone looks pretty new, so that option might be there.
But surely the connection is only as good as the phones signal? Sure, you have full WiFi, but that’s just because your Carlinkit is within the car itself, no?
That parking was a disgrace.
You can just connect the Tesla to the phones hotspot if you have problems with the cars connectivity if you don’t need CarPlay.
You cant with a early model S as it only supports 2.4GHZ wi-fi connections

So basically you are using Carplay via your phone. Something most of us non-Tesla owners can do already without any hassle!
