      Ooo that is a toughy… Since my first bike was, and still is, an ‘06 T23 Felt I will always be bias/loyal to that brand. Only picking one favorite seems a bit impossible. However, if you really want to twist my arm… I’d have to say the few all black configurations really looked nice. Almost as if the riders were “channeling the dark side of the force” for an advantage. ;)

      Higher end components (dura-ace, red, all electronic), higher grade carbon, latest aero tech, custom cockpits, custom hydration systems. They are basically showcase bikes from the manufacturers, and are spec’d as high as possible so the athletes can’t blame the bike.

    Brad Weiss's Giant seems to be the only bike with rim brakes. A lot of people love that Giant Trinity frame, but there is no disc brake version as far as I know. I suppose Giant expects the new Cadex frame to replace it.

    Interesting! However, what does "One bike/by" and "two bike/by" mean? My favourites are the dark blue glittery ones (David McNamee, Frederick Funk, Chelsea Sodaro), they look really pretty! Once I have the money to buy myself a new bike, I would love to have such a dark blue/green/petrol color with lots of tiny glitter in it! :D

    • @paulsmith1552
      @paulsmith1552 Год назад +1

      One by/two by refers to the chain ring up front. One or two. If the course doesn’t have much elevation gain (flat and fast) most pros will save weight by losing the smaller chain ring that they probably wouldn’t use anyway.

    • @PinkBunnySlipers
      @PinkBunnySlipers Год назад +2

      Fair point, but could be they have no bike sponsor and had to buy the bike there are not all free or there are using this bike for this race but have another bike sponsor. You see that a lot with tape over disc wheels in the pro peloton as there wheel brand doesn’t make a disc wheel.

      I imagine the athletes are also advertising the fact they are available for sponsorship or may already have something else lined up.
