Tamara Jewett from Canada is riding SOR disc. GTN you need to go back and check that wheel out. My understanding is that they actually have negative drag! Actually making you faster!
Ooo that is a toughy… Since my first bike was, and still is, an ‘06 T23 Felt I will always be bias/loyal to that brand. Only picking one favorite seems a bit impossible. However, if you really want to twist my arm… I’d have to say the few all black configurations really looked nice. Almost as if the riders were “channeling the dark side of the force” for an advantage. ;)
Could you please explain what exactly is it that makes these bikes so much better (and more expensive) than for example those 2-3k bikes most AGers ride?
Higher end components (dura-ace, red, all electronic), higher grade carbon, latest aero tech, custom cockpits, custom hydration systems. They are basically showcase bikes from the manufacturers, and are spec’d as high as possible so the athletes can’t blame the bike.
The paint work on some of these bikes looks truly amazing. 😍 And while I can see how some of these custom paint jobs might cost 1-2K in themselves, you are right that this doesn't actually make you go any faster.
Brad Weiss's Giant seems to be the only bike with rim brakes. A lot of people love that Giant Trinity frame, but there is no disc brake version as far as I know. I suppose Giant expects the new Cadex frame to replace it.
Interesting! However, what does "One bike/by" and "two bike/by" mean? My favourites are the dark blue glittery ones (David McNamee, Frederick Funk, Chelsea Sodaro), they look really pretty! Once I have the money to buy myself a new bike, I would love to have such a dark blue/green/petrol color with lots of tiny glitter in it! :D
One by/two by refers to the chain ring up front. One or two. If the course doesn’t have much elevation gain (flat and fast) most pros will save weight by losing the smaller chain ring that they probably wouldn’t use anyway.
sorry, but that bike is also trash. it's absolutely heavy and ridiculous. similar to 226 nutrition. pros rather don't eat than getting sponsored by them 🤣🤣
This might be an unpopular opinion but I don't agree with covering the brand name. Sure they aren't paying you anymore, but aren't those bikes free? Imagine if the company took the bikes away after the contract expired
Fair point, but could be they have no bike sponsor and had to buy the bike there are not all free or there are using this bike for this race but have another bike sponsor. You see that a lot with tape over disc wheels in the pro peloton as there wheel brand doesn’t make a disc wheel.
What is your favourite bike from this collection? 🔥
Speedmax of course - Daniel Bakkegaard's colour and setup.

The road bike. Taking on the world’s best with super bikes on a road bike is awesome. I hope she passed a few and gave a wink as she rode by.
10:02 Loving the graphic on Chelsea's OSPW derailleur cage.
Bike manufacturer: "this bike has been designed to slip through the wind"
PTO: "here is a hockey puck to put on the outside of your fork"
😂😂
why does it need to be on the fork if you got one on the seat post... lol what boomers are making these rules
@@JwallzMTB seatpost one for the signaling to the back and the front knew for signaling to the front.
You wan't to try cycling... no rules in cycling... oh wait 👀
Hey James! Thanks for going through every single bike! It is really interesting to look at the different bike configuration.
What was your favourite? 👀

Classified in Triatlon! This is the future 😮
Love these bikes! Great video.
8:50 Fenella's baby blue Trek looks fantastic.
That colour 🤤

very thorough. bravo gtn

Hooray for rim brakes on a TT bike on a course where heavy braking isn't required.
The rim brake lives on 🙌
Love to see some crank arm lengths for these rides.
Would you like to see some more nerdy bike content on the channel? 🤓
As somebody who wanna buy DiscWheel set, i wonder which one to take. Zipps seem to be favorized here, but sample size too small
Jan has Sram. So I would think that it is a 52 front chainring combined with a 10-something - back cassette
which would be equivalent to a 57x11 on the shimano bikes....
Could you please explain what exactly is it that makes these bikes so much better (and more expensive) than for example those 2-3k bikes most AGers ride?
Nothing. It's all marketing hype

Sounds like a perfect excuse for a vs video to us 👀

Would you upgrade to the modern disc or keep it old school with the rim brakes 👀
@@gtn I was slow to adopt disc brakes, but now I would never go back to rim brakes. The braking performance is just better.
Please add info on front ends next time. Aerobars are like space rockets nowadays and would be cool to compare manufacturers and shapes 👌🏼

1x and 2x refers the the drivetrain that the bike uses. We did a video that might help you here - ruclips.net/video/zfT9Sq4ehGQ/видео.html
So cool to see rim brakes in many bikes. Why do they put tape over the brand, is it that they are being paid by some other brand?
It seems there is a near equal split between SRAM and Shimano. That's vastly different than the pro peloton where Shimano dominates.
Well spotted! 👀 Why do you think that might be?
@@gtn Better gearing options for 1x drivetrains? Easier to disassemble for travel?
