Best of luck on your new chopper. I hope you have a good number of customers to help offset the cost. Miller Custom Farms is becoming a one stop shop for other farmers. I’m sure they prefer this to contracting with several companies. It’s good to buy something new and top of the line. Proves to your customers that your serious about this new endeavor and committed to be in for the long haul. Good Luck..,..,
Awesome chopper, can't wait to see it in action, just think I used to operate a chopper with half the horsepower of yours haha, and only cutting 6 rows, new sub from me, watching from New Zealand, keep up the good work 👍
For those kind of funds a “Preloaded Fridge” that actually chills should be STANDARD EQUIPMENT. Machinery Manufacturers don’t listen seem to your dad or Mike Mitchell
A lot of custom jobs in Wayne county. Most all swept up by 3 or 4 companies That's a big undertaking buying that. For corn and hay the biggest company runs at least 2 choppers and who knows how many trailers or straight trucks. I'm sure you know them
Back in the late '80's I cut 3000 tons of corn silage in two weeks with a 2-row New Holland powered by a 390 Ford gas engine. How long would that take the 9800I? Couple of days???
Wow, nice observation! You are clearly someone who knows what you’re talking about. We do have it, it came on the little trailer and the hay head came later
When you get to the job, will they have trucks or trailers to haul away the chopped material as fast as you can chop it, or will you be sitting waiting on them, or do you bring the hauling equipment with you?
Is it true that custom harvesting charge hasn't gone up much? I suppose one is getting more done in less time. So one can cover more acres to justify the added increase in equipment cost. Like John Deere million dollar combine. Have to cover a lot of acres to make it work.
Most farmers are not buying theses machines out right they are leasing them because if you lease them the payments can be a tax right off and if u buy it you can only deduct the depreciation for a couple years
I just came from the Veritasium video about clickbait and you should watch it too. No need to apologize for that soft clickbait and such great content.
I was.drinking Pepsi and and eating chicken tenders and when I was watching and the start nearly killed me wa staking a drink of Pepsi and backswalloed some up my nose . To me me ages to get over it please don't do that again. The resaults arent nice.
@@FarmingInsider the cost of it is CRAZY .... i thought in my day 50,000 for a new grain combine was high they start at 250,000 today, blows my mind!!!!
@@FarmingInsider Is it me or do RUclips farms seem to get a lot of new equipment showing up on their operations ? I'd love to see a video explaining the economics of how you plan to make money with that machine. Interest, maintenance, insurance and depreciation are at least $100K a year. You need $20/acre at 5,000 acres/year just cover that. How many acres/year are you planning to chop with it ? What is the going rate per acre for chopping silage ?
Getting to be too confusing for me I grew up you went out and chopped put it up took your sample into get tested now it seems like it's all done with the machine
@@FarmingInsider Eric Hartwell Eric Hartwell 1 second ago I LIKE PICKING UP 12 ROWS AT A TIME WITH POWER LEFT OVER GOING UP HILL . LIKE YOUR NEW MACHINE.... DONT GET ME WRONG . WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER ..
Meanwhile other small business fail or have to support you the "poor farmer" as we watch you spend $800000 on a piece of equipment you use sporadically. There are business's that cobble equipment together to try to make it through another year. But Hey it is what it is.... It is why Bill Gates owns all the farmland that he does. Your reply tells me I am right. Go ahead defend why you should be given your subsides and other business and taxpayers should pay for them. You need to learn to be big boys and do it on your own.
Great addition to the farm hoping to see more videos about this machine great vid as usual!
I can’t wait to get the drone above this baby!
@@FarmingInsider This machine would get some incredible shots!
Sounds about right for a new one of those things. You getting things done at that level of machine,
We try to!

Thank you! We are very serious about the new venture. I can’t wait to get some more videos out for you guys
Very nice machine. It's like that in every business clean machines and trucks and trailers and the number thing be Early.
Thank you! Timing is very important in this world
That is an amazing machine! Loved how the reps explained the inner workings...very informative. Bonus points for the Carl appearance!
We had to get him in there for his short guest appearance lol
Carl can do anything --- if he feels like it. Just put a Pepsi in the cab.
in the uk we call it contract farming as your contracted to work on behalf of the farm, i like custom farming it sounds fancy
Thanks Ryan! It does have a nice ring to it
You needed to warn me that I was gonna spit out my drink laughing during the intro. I can't wait for some drone videos in the field
I'm a new subscriber, I want to see this baby in action. It's a beautiful piece of equipment. If you have the customers, hell yes it's justified.
I can’t wait to get some bird’s eye view of this monster! Thanks for subscribing
Sure is Magic! Great video.
Lyndsey has an incredible understanding of it and explained in even more depth off camera. The technology behind the Harvest Lab s incredible
Beautiful machine
Thank you!

With this machine, if you have enough support vehicles, about 10 hours.
he's right
Linear potentiometer? I knew I should have paid more attention in high school!
You went to school long enough bc I'm amazed you nailed the spelling on that lol
Needs a spout extension for that head

Neu ist immer gut.
the first ten seconds of this vid was OHHH NO its a John Dreere, and it was, with the wrong header on it LOL
oh man!
comes with barfridge coffee machine & microwave :)
They definitely should!
So cool 😎
thank you!
I remember back in the sixties when the 6600 combine came out. Deere had a hell of a time with the AC. Electronics, dust, and heat arent a good mix!
It's tough to balance
When you get to the job, will they have trucks or trailers to haul away the chopped material as fast as you can chop it, or will you be sitting waiting on them, or do you bring the hauling equipment with you?
It will depend on the client, but most will be full service so we will supply trucks and trailers and the bagger and packing crew
Let's see in field working
Soon! I promise
i wonder if your the same miller bros that are getting some Meyer Manufacturing trucks
No trucks on order
Is it true that custom harvesting charge hasn't gone up much?
I suppose one is getting more done in less time. So one can cover more acres to justify the added increase in equipment cost.

Yes, grain custom harvesting has not followed appropriately with the price of replacing machinery at all!
what size head is on there?
12 row! that should work through some tonnage
The big question is, Who is going to be the operator.
I guarantee my old man will be the one who puts the first hours on it!
Most farmers are not buying theses machines out right they are leasing them because if you lease them the payments can be a tax right off and if u buy it you can only deduct the depreciation for a couple years
Liebherr engine thats surprising
This machine ain’t for small time guys, don’t complain about price when you can’t afford it. That’s my opinion on this kind of stuff anyways.
No complaints, just reality
You should put a powerlift door on your shop..
They aren't terribly common in Northern Ohio because of snow issues I believe
Just curious as to why John Deere? Local dealer support? Cost? Features? Anything else?
You pretty much nailed it. We have a good relationship with our local Deere dealers

👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed!
What will it bring at auction?
Lol at the rate of equipment inflation probably more than we paid

Your going to wish u got the John Deere 19 liter engine that leibler engine has a lot of problems
Is the engine a 9512? Good luck with the valve adjustments.
oh boy!
I passed this on 71 the other day being delivered
Awesome! Was it riding on a detach? Tyler drove it straight to us from the store
If it came with a 25 year/250,000 mile warranty....
Yeah, that would be great
Justified? if you can afford the machine and it will make you money I think it is justified.
That’s exactly how we feel! It should make some good money as long as we run enough through it
