@@skylerslack12 Overall I liked Troy's chariot animations as the crew finally fights and it looks fine against infantry but still feels awkward vs other chariots
I really wonder, how do ranged units fare in this mod? Because I haven't seen a good, prolonged skirmish phase in a TW game since Rome 1 almost, which is a shame since the early jockeying for position is my favourite part of the battle
yoooo,well tbh skirmishing can be extremely powerful in the mod,like,you can comfortably have half of your army consist of archers if you're playing f.e. Egypt and you have no chariot threat on the enemy side. Since units shouldn't break instantly there is ~ some ~ shootout phase. But nothing beats R1 shooting a whole quiverfull of arrows and rolling the dice till someone dies 😆 how you been doin'
@@ReptilicusTV That’s good to hear. I’ll definitely do some testing once the mod is out then, because I really want to see how impactful it can be. Otherwise, doing fine. Been quietly watching/listening to your historical videos since you started posting again. I knew surprisingly little about the period, given how much I love history. How have you been hanging?
@@rush4in No more mr. quiet,be LOUD as the THUNDER of ZEUS ⛈ The usual being degenerate irl and getting dragged back down into this rabbit hole because it's time for the bronze age ( and hopefully no more getting shafted by balance). THere's a lotta stuff to go through for the time period,pop culture just doesn't care unless it's Egypt at best
@@ReptilicusTV I've thankfully seen a bit of a shift with the rise of youtube historians, especially History with Cy and History Time who have been able to bring this period back into the mind of many people. And I really do hope we get to see more of the bronze age, not just collapse and Egypt. Good that you are doing fine though!

Well,can't speak for what we'll get in the full game but for myself...there's gonna be a loooooooooot of different periods here when the time is right :3 I don't use steam much atm but hit me up there or disc sometime.
Shogun 2 is in its own category of brutality and badassery in one package :D There are a few really damn good R2 animations but.....they're pretty rare. Glad you liked it !

Is it just me or do combat animations look better in shogun 2? Good vid though.

This mod looks so inaccurate those guys really need to read some more Osprey books before releasing this.
Fr I'll also reccommend them to watch some History channel documentaries about Egypt
