That hits different and hard after her constantly hearing that the very best parts of Hayley is in her.
Throughout this series (I’m so mad it’s ending but kinda relieved at the same time cuz Julie sucks but it finally started getting really good rip) she’s always been told that being Klaus’s daughter is her worse side.
And having Aurora of all people to say this line to her made me cry.
Klaus "She is the very best of me"
Hayley "Because the very best of me is in you"
This gave her a better redemption arc than Katherine ever got
Katherine had a redemption arc to then turn around and be evil again. She was evil from start to finish. Only reason she was kind of good was bc she became human and needed allies.

@@thatssomehoopla they weren’t patient with her. They wanted her to change Quickly instead of giving her time and the patience to heal of her trauma and what KLAUS put her though. They weren’t as sympathetic as they should’ve been.
@@katangel199207 u can blame the writers for that because deep inside Katherine wanted to Change especially for her daughter but they wanted her to keep her evil….but redeemed Klaus of all people. Make it make sense
There was no redeeming Katherine, she had chances over and over and chose evil everytime. She atleast got to take the love of her life down with her. Instead of Damon it was Stephen who embraced her before she got exactly what she deserved. I mean she kinda got what she wanted, she couldn't have Stephen, but no one else got him either.
She was selfish and petty till the end.
The fact that she outlived Lucien,Tristan,Elijah and Klaus makes this even more sadder. Aurora has always been a favorite of mines when The Originals was airing, seeing her die tonight was bittersweet, i love how she risked her life to save her lover’s daughter life. You will be missed Aurora De Martel🫶

After surviving and fighting hard fought battle, like Katherine she finally died. I'm just so glad that she died in a very meaningful death.
I knew that she'd come around!
Also, I just want to put this out there. Hope is such a well-written character. While Ken brought out the worst in people, Hope brings out the best in people ever since she was born. I love how everyone kept telling her that the best part of both Hayley and Klaus is in her. All the mistakes that were made in the past by the Mikaelsons were paid Hope by saving the world (possibly multiple times). Centuries from now, Hope Mikaelson, will leave a legacy of the Mikaelson, the most powerful being on earth that saved the world. Not the Mikaelson that is feared by everyone. She really is the best version of both her father and mother. Despite everything, she grew up beautifully.

Aurora’s death had me crying so hard. The fact that Mg’s, kaleb’s, and Jed’s didn’t make me feel anything at all. Aurora is such a well written character. I’m glad she was able to sacrifice herself for hope. She always has been my favorite and i hope she finds peace.
It’s so sad because I always sympathized with her character. Like when she met Klaus she loved him despite him being a vampire and wanted a life with him, then Elijah compelled her and over time Tristan manipulated her and even when she came back she was a bit crazy but still (in her own way) loved Klaus. Only thing I couldn’t forgive her for was Cami but still all the TVDU characters have done terrible things. Rip to one of the greats, Miss Aurora de Martel
honestly I don't blame her for cami, i was glad when lucien killed her she was too annoying, even more annoying than davina.
I loved Aurora since she debuted on The Originals. I never ever considered her a villain (okay, I know she caused Cami's first death, but still, that is basically it... Most of the characters we like from this verse did so much worse and many more bad stuff). She was a bipolar, clearly from the beggining (human flashbacks) and then stated from herself to Cami. She was mercileslly tortured by her brother for a thousand years, was mind compulsed by Elijah to make her ditch on the person she loved (hurting him, Klaus, deeply in the process...), and then, we like it or not, was treated like garbage by Klaus himself after a while, who she loved and was only wanting to be with him - she did not want anything else than that, she just ended up reacting to Klaus'es toxic ways towards her, and I love Klaus. That was the character of Aurora on The Originals, a ill, tortured and in love person. Since they've put her on that slumbering spell I knew it she would come back later (in this case, to Legacies).
I couldn't blame her for wanting revenge, but surely she focused on the wrong person, Hope never did anything bad to her, her father and uncle did. Then only on Legacies she got to be seen as who she really was on the inside, the only person who really cared about Aurora's feelings in this entire universe was Lizzie (and after a while Jen, and now by the end, Hope)... Not even Lucien Castle cared, he was only obsessed with her, glad she knew it from the beggining. Those scenes of Lizzie not standing seeing Aurora in pain and then having meaninful conversations towards her were one of the most beautiful I've seen on this universe. She never ever had a friend before... She was tortured her entire life. Can you guys think of that? Lizzie was her first friend EVER, a thousand years later.
All I wanted for her character was for her to be happy at the end... I ended up crying, and I don't cry easily with shows and movies, her goodbye scene was very bittersweet. I wish we at least get to have a scene of her happy with a reformed Tristan at Peace or Limbo.
R.I.P Aurora de Martel.
You need to be a writer for this show or and TVD spin-off.

@@lordodinaesir7643 If you do a fan fiction of the series it would be absolutely amazing and I definitely would read it! In a sense I think the writers wanted to pay some homage to the two heretics on TVD that died together in a car accident when making Lizzie one which put in my heart of hearts that if Josie returned she’d become one as well. I feel they should’ve done more with her since she was riddled with guilt and just left the show depressed. Thanks for such a great replay of what your version of VD- Legacies would have been like! I got excited reading your insight of it! A spin off with Stephanie Salvatore, I think, maybe difficult since she is basically human but mixing her up with a bunch of “supes” would most likely bore everyone and the recap of a “twilight” type storyline would most likely be utilized with is cliché and boring to TVD audience. It maybe over for TVD universe but I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t try to do something similar in the future like witches or Spectors ext.
This is such a beautiful comment. They really should've acknowledged sooner that Aurora was clearly very mentally ill and struggling instead of just calling her crazy and villainising her for it.

My sweet Aurora... always shipped her and Klaus the most. She matched his energy if nothing else. They were so pure in the beginning, he wanted so badly to be good because of her, then Elijah ruined it all.

Aurora’s story was better than Katherine. Katherine was selfish since the day her daughter was wretched from her hands.
Always her first, second and third to the point she had Stefan and Damon hate each other cause of her, she even made Nadia disgusted from her.
Her frustrations and hunger for power simply to survive and live had her venemous to the core. She was so damaged she never redeemed herself. Aurora on the other hand was always unstable, always yet despite all that, she ended up redemed saving hope
She really loved klaus, her the most precious was her life and she gave it up for her lovers daughter.
I love Aurora redemption arc we mostly have Lizzie to thank for that she brought out the best in her and made her wanna be better in the end she was hope got her to that point at the end but lizzie changed her

It’s mind boggling. I’ve scoured the internet looking and I can’t find a single instance of anyone bringing up how it doesn’t make sense hope thought her blood would heal a dying vampire.
The Demartel's brought a side to vampirism that we forgot in these modern-day vampires, as much as it was Elijah that created that but they stuck to it. Their legacy is gone too...so sad.
