    Need more tutorials for asian hair on youtube for sure. Light and dark spots from bumps/indents on asian hair stick out like a sore thumb but you killed it!

      🙏🏼, I’ll see what I can do, and for sure on the light and dark spots

      I’m part Asian and I think I inherited the texture, color and sparseness of Asian hair.
      I’m trying to learn to cut my own hair, I’ve followed a few tutorials online (jeezys and mems etc) bald guideline + lever open and closed… all works…but I can’t seem to get the 0.5/half guard upwards; 1, 2 and 3 right..… the upper guidelines Are too visible :(

    • @morrisocoolike
      @morrisocoolike 2 года назад

      @@eeiko321 I learned from youtube as well. Tbh, as a beginner watching all these guys at once really confused me. You just have to find a system that works for you, and work with that til u get it down. If you have other people to practice on that would be ideal. Keep grinding!!

    • @eeiko321
      @eeiko321 2 года назад

      @@morrisocoolike ive watched a fair few of these videos.
      I’ve started cutting my young sons hair.. done it twice so far. I guess that would help practice.
      what I’m finding really challenging is; Trimmer, No guard + open/closed creates the biggest and noticeable difference, you hear the machine cut as well (no dramas)… but from 0.5 guard , 1, 2 and 3… can’t really hear anything at all and it doesn’t seem like it’s doing much or see much of the difference it’s doing… guidelines are too feint to see as well.
      Then I’m always finding myself thinking; “shit, what have I done now… I shouldn’t over do it”

    • @morrisocoolike
      @morrisocoolike 2 года назад

      @@eeiko321 you should still be hearing it cut with the bigger guards. Make sure you’re looking at the actual blades still when using the bigger guards as opposed to focusing too much on the guard itself. If you use the corner of the blade to work u can blend in smaller chunks, lessening the chance of creating more harsh lines. I think its pretty common for beginners to not cut enough because they dont want to make a big mistake

    As a half Asian guy myself, I totally understand why he has you cut the front at an angle like that. Our hair is weird af. I have to manipulate mine in crazy ways to get it to look normal.

    I’ve gotten a fade with no guard before and I’m scarred lol when the barber showed me a video of my hair and ring light facing my head it looked light and nicely faded but when I got home and looked at the mirror it looked dark all around 😓😓

      You definitely have to use the mirror as a barber and make sure that you are cutting to color.

    Great cut! Never seen that technique before but quite ingenious. Using the shape of the head as the "guard" is an interesting hack but it does the job super well.
    You should use different music soundtracks in your cuts. Gets a little repetitive
