Just from doing my own research early september seems to be the way to go! Less crowds, introduction of night to see the northern lights, weather is still near its warmest but just starting to decline. Sounds like the only things to watch out for is highland closure and rainy season.

Looking forward to visit next week but I'm also torn because we have 30° weather here in Hamburg for the next two weeks but now I have to buy waterproof clothing and prepare myself for 10° and rain in Reykyavik
I was there September 5th to 20th last year and we ran into each other near Hallgrímskirkja, remember, Jeannie? I recommend everybody to go the the Harpa Center and see the show "How to Become Islandic in 60 minutes". It's been showing for years. I found the Harpa in my first walk around Reykjavik; about 5 hours after I landed in Iceland. Was I glad I went in to see it, jet lagged and all!!

Hi I love ur videos! I hope you can advice. Im planning a Sep trip to Iceland but torn between the first or second half of the month. I want to see the Northern lights so which do you recommend?
Hi there! You'll have a better chance of seeing the lights at the end of September but maybe settle for the middle of September (if your schedule allows) so that you can see the lights AND the change into autumn colors! Happy planning and thanks for watching!
Hi- stumbled accross this video while searching. I have upcoming trip in Sept and dont know where to start! Which are should I book my airbandb? How far will it be from all things we want to do? What things must I not miss? Any help is welcomed.

@@hrishikesh12341 Our trip was great! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful time to go. The only thing we weren't able to see that we wanted to was the Northern Lights. We actually made some videos about our trip in September 2021 going all along the ring road if you want some ideas. :)

Hello!! I would like to know, what is the best coin to change to Icelandic Crowns, I mean I want to decide between, Dollars, Euros or Pound sterling, what is the best paying.? thanks!!
Hi Jeannie, we are coming to Iceland september 7-13. Staying at an Airbnb in Grimsnes og Grafningshreppur. Can you tell me anything about that area? We plan to spend a day on Snaelellsn. I know it's a lot of driving but we will get in as much as possible.
Hi :-) I'm planning to go Iceland 🇮🇸 on 19th of September till 26th. Its also the period of Equinox! Questions: 1) Is that a great period to see the Northern Lights ? 2) are 6 days enough for a South side ( Waterfall, Volcano, black beach, and Blue laguna in the north... plus Northern Lights around 23rd of September ) ? Thank you in advance ^^
Hi! Great channel you got here congrats :) I was wondering, after I’ve seen both of your videos for my trip either on September or October, I’m not sure if there is such a big difference to choose one or the other in terms of general conditiions… taking into account that the flights in October are a little more pricey (just around 20€ less), what would you recommend then?? Many thanks!!
I have to choose one month between march or September to travel to iceland. Can you suggest which month is better in terms of weather , northernlights and sightseeing overall??

We debated between summer and fall, but heard this year is peak solar activity. So mid-late September it is for the Aurora 😊 I'm so excited 🌌
