Ok so question.. I have a A1707 2017 15” Pro without battery. Its been totally taken out. I did your instructions and the FANS do turn on but nothing else happens......thoughts?
I have mid 2015 and they are really great, but the batteries keep expanding and I have had to replace it twice, and it needs to be replaced again. I wish there was a way to just get rid of the battery and just run it off the power supply all the time.
@@jackj5368 I have no idea. The first time Apple did it for free. The second time I took it to local place and I understand they used apple parts, but i had to pay.
😂I’m having the same problem. Where did you buy your battery? Apple replaced my battery due to the battery recall. Now it expanded again. I have to do it myself this time.
Anyone having A1398 Dual Graphics Card version (512 GB ssd, 16 gig rams) should also disconnect the trackpad/keyboard ribbon connector after removing the battery, it will boot up and log into the desktop just fine. Use an external keyboard/mouse combo and stick a tape to the magsafe power connection to avoid accidental pull outs.
I have a 2017 macbook air. Been using for years. 2 times it suddenly stopped taking a charge and wouldnt turn on. The first time i messed with it for 2 weeks and randomly it turned on. It was fine for an entire year till it did it again on me about 2 weeks ago. Again i kept messing with it, i thought the battery was toast. Found ur video while searching the internet on how to force a macbook to turn on without the battery plugged in(thank u very much for this usefull info) so i decided to stick the battery back in and use ur method again and boom damn thing works and is charging like nothing happened. Smh
Had me excited for a min till I got to the end where you did plug a battery back in! Like you I'm working on the same model. Like him the battery is toast.
I bought a $40 MacBook Pro and this worked for it
Thanks
