I was fully expecting the Koroks to win since you didn't mention them when listing the races and you giving them a symbol like the other races in the simulation. Like, there's over a thousand of them, and they're clearly immortal considering they've survived everything Link has thrown at them. Not to mention the Great Deku Tree with it's mass amounts of wisdom and it's energy to protect the Master Sword.

I saw some Yiga fighting Link one time, and they did something with terrifying implications; when Link had given one of them serious wounds, they were teleported back, presumably to a safe location where their wounds could be tended to.
This means the Yiga would suffer almost no casualties compared to their enemies, something that would make them a force of terror during an all-out war.
We're just lucky they're wasting their time trying to fight Link, who, from what I've seen, could probably take everyone else in Hyrule on his own.

I think Link alone almost guarantees a Hylian victory, so nerfing him may have been a good call. Tarrey Town, though, would be harder for the Zora to take than demonstrated here because the island is pretty elevated and the Zora would have to attack by land. I could see them maybe laying siege to Tarrey Town, but I think Tarrey Town could probably resist an attack pretty well, especially from the water-based Zora.

I think the zora can completely destroy their supply chains though. The town itself has no way to gather resources other than wood from the torin wetland. But I think the zora could easily capture the wetlands. So i think Tarrey town would have to surrender pretty much immediately considering they also do not have anyone with proper fighting ability other than 1 Gerudo and maybe the one rito there (whom I assume would side with tarrey town rather than their own nations)

I feel like the yiga should have taken the win. They are shown to resist the temptation of bananas both in battle, and in dialogue bubbles when you pull one out in front of a disguised one. With this taken into account, the yiga should win. Also, master Kohga's zonai construct could have probably been included. Also, we never see an injured yiga die, they always teleport away to safety. This means they can tank the strongest of Link's attacks and survive, or at the very least a few bombs, as those don't even knock them out in 1 hit.

That a great point, my only thought being that they have worked on any amount of world domination and have failed severely throughout, not just by Link’s hand (if it was just Link stopping them then they would have been able to take over during the 100 years he was asleep). That being said, they did manage to take over the great plateau, a chunk of the depths, and have soldiers throughout a good amount of lower Hyrule. I feel like they have a little chance against the gerudo or the Sheika, but that’s just based on personal thought process. I would be interested to see a more in-depth analysis on the Yiga fire power

Agreed. Another plot point is if the yoga used their stealth correctly the gerudo wouldn’t have known they were coming. Why would they have so many bananas on hand? Especially since they live in the middle of the desert where they don’t have access too many.

Main issue is, the Yiga lack any actual military. They're more of a guerilla force with no clear strategy. And they've clearly been losing heavily against the Sheika and Hylians.
Blowing up their hide-out should be enough to cripple them indefinitely. And there's no actual coming back from a direct canon shot.

I think the Rito have it in the bag. In the video, most other armies played to their strengths, but the Rito barely took advantage of their mobility and air advantage, instead making the stupid decision to attack the largest force head on with their entire army. They could use guerrilla tactics and send small groups of Rito to do various things at the same time such as blowing up supplies with bomb arrows, stopping the larger Gerudo army from properly functioning. They can do the same to the weapons of the Sheikah/Hylian alliance which prevents them from really being able to fight back enemies in the air effectively - they can only use untrained archers except for Link and Zelda, who can't be everywhere at once. The Gorons have nothing to reach the Rito with, so they would eventually lose in a battle of attrition. The Zora's fare even worse, with shock arrows rained from above absolutely debilitating them in their most advantageous terrain. The Yiga probably stand the best chance if they could deceive the Rito and mess up chains of command, It really depends on how easily the Rito would be fooled and how good the Yiga are at pretending to be birds.

    • @Anime-Control
      @Anime-Control Год назад +32

The Rito would not be able to take all of Hyrule - they’d easily be able to hold Hebra, Tabantha, the Gerudo Highlands, and parts of the Gerudo Wastes, but without any real elevation toward the center of the map, they’d be useless to press further. I believe it is stated that the Rito can’t technically fly, but that they’re just really effective gliders, which is why Revali’s ability to generate upward lift was so well respected. Without areas to launch from in Hyrule’s center, they wouldn’t be able to take it. They only have the ability and numbers to keep and hold the highlands, and with some strategic work they could potentially besiege and blockade the Gerudo by blocking off the mountain passes out of the wastes.

@@Anime-Controlif they hijack a skyview tower or two, they’d easily have the height to dive down on other nations and rain hellfire on any group out there. Add in the fact that they are hunters and marksmen who could likely shoot a bow from a further distance than any other group could with great accuracy, I doubt even the sheikah could stop them. The only real threat is the Yiga, since they could teleport and assassinate key members of any nation or pretend to be sheikah messengers and make attack plans on a specific enemy of the sheikah or make negotiations on supplies when they really are there to make plans to pit the nations against each other or remove all sizeable chunk of resources and ambush the now crippled nations.

I think it's worth noting that (at least as far as I interpreted it), Mipha is still the only BotW-TotK era Zora we know of who could heal. We see Sidon, Yona, and her assistants purifying water of the sludge, but that's just water manipulation, a much more common Zora trait, and probably part of why Sidon's ability is using water as a barrier / projectile, rather than to heal. The way they help the Zora who are sick from sludge is essentially the same as Link throwing splash fruit, they're just washing the sludge out.
All-in-all, the idea of a civil war is really interesting, because I think basically all of the races would be unbeatable in their own terrain, and none of them really have the numbers to do an all-out attack except maybe the Hylians, since all the other races would probably need to leave at least 1/3rd of their fighting-age members back to provide for families / children, if not more to defend them.
This would especially effect the Gerudo, whose home would almost certainly be ransacked by the Yiga if they ever moved more than a few members of their forces away. The Gerudo might be able to win on the frontline with their full military prowess, but they'd come back to find that, despite "winning" the war, they were the only ones to have their home destroyed, since the Yiga are also likely the only faction that would go to the extent of killing those who can't fight back.
Another thing worth noting is that while we do see some named Rito use a bow while flying, it's implied to be something very few Rito can do - part of why Revali was so legendary (and also probably part of why Tulin has some ego problems). I think the biggest way flight would help the Rito wouldn't be through archers but through bombers. They've already been exploring tons of nearby caves for food, so assuming they know what bomb flowers are, you'd probably see them flying bombing runs to create some really one-sided battles.

    • @ArguablyTJJ
      @ArguablyTJJ Год назад +16

@@conabe Are you referring to the conversations with Yona before / after the Sludge Like? I checked those dialogues and while it’s true he gets cold feet, healing is never mentioned, and we only ever see him purifying the water at Ploymus that flows down into the domain, he never even uses his powers directly on another Zora.
We do see Yona and her assistants doing that, but they don’t heal any of the people there, just provide some temporary relief. I’m not even sure if a healer would be able to do anything, tbh, since the problem is literally magic sludge inside of their bodies. Water manipulation is probably more useful in this situation, even if it’s not a perfect answer.
Edit: Think I found what you’re referring to. When you first reunite with him he says he can’t leave because he’s “uniquely qualified to deal with the sludge here.” Again, no mention of healing, he’s just cleaning the water flowing from Ploymus down to the Domain, he’s never even seen using his magic to purge the sludge from the affected Zora.

    • @EmethMatthew
      @EmethMatthew Год назад +12

I think this is a great analysis of yours that accounts for the fact it is implied that these civil wars HAVE happened in Hyrule's past, and the hylians might have the overall advantage, it's never been enough to fully overwhelm the different people groups in their own territories. I FULLY agree that this type of fully committed warfare ignoring leaving your home and supply lines undefended is not very realistic to the way "war" goes and not just what the video scenario seems to describe as basically "a week's worth of battles".
I was disappointed the video seemed to severely underestimate the Rito and the power of air superiority for the Rito, think it's a bit strange as to why the Sheikah were singled out for analysis only to just completely faithfully ally with the Hylians the whole time, and I'm unconvinced of the Gerudo being so formidable as to have been able to handle engaging literally every other faction on the map besides the Gorons and still win without having suffered enough losses to have been neutralized... The Gerudo don't seem to have the numbers for that.

I mean to be fair Yiga have been known to be tempted by Bananas, though the ones in the Upheaval Era are slowly learning to resist.
That said, this video massively overlooks much of the Yiga's potential. While sure, many of their members can be eccentric, what cannot be understated is that they are masters of disguise, and able to teleport as well. Their mastery of Zonai technology is also impressive, but the ability to sow chaos and retreat on a dime is even more valuable.
Rather than a single ambush with all their might, the Yiga's talents are best used for subterfuge, undermining the other factions, infiltrating their ranks. The Yiga do not have the sheer numbers for a traditional battle, but they are freaking ninja assassins, who cares about "tradition"? The darkness is their ally, no reason to step out into the spotlight.
And if worst comes to worst and the Yiga Clan Hideout falls, the Yiga can retreat to the Depths, a place that they pretty much have every advantage in, thanks to that pesky Hero casting Kohga down there years before the rest of Hyrule knew there _was_ something down there.

Amazing video! Please analyze the locations of battle! An error I noticed is that when the Rito get defeated, the Gerudo claim the territory. What do they do to the non-military rito? How do the Gerudo get there through the cold without getting interrupted? I personally believe that the Zora don't even have a chance against the hylians at Tarry Town, because they have to climb the walls sides of the Tarry Town plateau. Or cross the bridge. Assuming that they get everyone up from the construction site, all they have to do is destroy or blockade the land bridge, which shouldn't be that challenging. I also don't think Purah would teleport away from the Hylians, since Zelda and Link were still there. Unrelated to that fight, I think that the Rito wouldn't leave their mountain right away, since no one could easily get there. The Rito also know how to make bomb arrows, which would decimate the Gerudo. The Yiga would also beat the Gerudo since the Gerudo don't actually know about the Yiga's banana weakness.

I think the Rito got extremely shafted here, im not sure theyd even win but theyd certainly not lose to the gerudo in a head on fight
    For starters, bows and arrows are actually not going to be very effective against the Rito on their own. Theres several reasons for this;
    1. Ritos have the most experience of any of the armies for bow fighting by a lot since its the main weapons we see them with and this means theyll know more basic bow on bow tactics than other nations, which makes the other points here relevant
    2. Their ability to fly makes it way easier for them to both use cover and negate enemy's cover. They can use cover that no other army can really use and they can get from cover to cover the fastest due to being the most mobile, and most cover is not suited for protecting someone who is directly above you. Cover is extremely important for fights between ranged weapons, so this is a huge deal
    3. Gravity exists. This is honestly the biggest deal of these three advantages and I dont think its something that was even considered. Arrows are useless if theyre never able to reach their targets in the first place, and without advanced tech(from sheikah or yiga), gravity will send the arrows back down to earth before they reach the height of a rito. The rito, on the other hand, would not have this issue, as gravity would not be limiting their range. Even if the rito were to fly lower, gravity is still going to make it significantly harder to hit them, and theyre already fast moving flying targets, meaning the fight is still very heavily in the ritos advantage.
But also, in regards to the gerudo, even if bows and arrows were more effective against the rito, the fact that riju needed link to shoot arrows to help her aim her lightning heavily implies there is not a skilled archer within the gerudo, as why would she need link if there was one? Im pretty sure we also never see a gerudo warrior wield a bow, which further supports this.
The only thing I think the gerudo have that can actually even touch the rito is riju's lightning, which, as said in the video, is inaccurate against even targets standing still, much less fast, flying targets, and if riju falls the gerudo auto lose.
I dont think the rito win though since the hylian/sheikah alliance is kinda the perfect counter to them. Sheikah have shown to have bows that make arrows not effected by gravity in BOTW, and that means theyll be able to hit the rito, and plus 22 rito may just run out of arrows when fighting 250 hylians with armor before they actually manage to kill them even if they werent able to hit back. The yiga also notably outnumbers the rito, are known bow users, and have flying machines, so they can probably beat them too.

It’s important to note that the yiga have been able to set up branches all around hyrule and have the ability to teleport back before getting severely injured, and they were also able to survive in harsh environments such as the depths which have lots of resources like bombs, and they also, being “evil” are allied with ganons forces which include mighty lynels and large bosses
Yiga are also the only ones with large stockpiles of food kept in caves/other safe places(aside from gorons) meaning they’d be able to survive more food shortage
Hylians and sheikah would also most likely be allied too, making hylians one of if not the strongest civilisation, plus the fact that like the yiga they have many bases across hyrule(lurelin, hateno), as well as having link in their army
Hylians also run a majority if not all stables in hyrule, allowing them to have horses as well as other farm animals
Gorons are also immune to a lot of attacks, fire proof, spear, sword, and bow proof, electric proof, just to name a few, and the only weapon good at harming gorons(hammers/pickaxes) aren’t wielded commonly by other civilisations. Gorons also have abundance healing hot springs in their area, making them one of the only civilisations able to heal easily if their were a shortage of food, and they also eat rocks which are easy to find in caves(though oot showed that famine could still be an issue for them).
Rito although being skilled they’ve mainly been used to cold weather in the hebra region would struggle in areas like death mountain and gerudo desert, plus being birds means they’d be significantly weaker to arrows or misfires from their own army, and if a rito is on the ground they’re as good as dead
Gerudo, though wielding the power of lightning(which could be deadly to zora) they(as you mentioned) wouldn’t have many if any allies but are already fighting with the yiga, who would most definitely ransack the kara kara bazaar or gerudo town if given the chance. Gerudo also wouldn’t be able to repopulate during war(for obvious reasons) compared to other civilisations and would have trouble farming being in a desert and most likely having all their food imported
The koroks also would be a surprising threat, they’d be almost completely immune to zora water and spear attacks, and their small nature allows them to easily hide and invade enemy bases(not that they’d need to since few can see them) The deku tree also is considerably strong, though it can’t move or leave the forest, but the forest is defended by lost fog making it difficult for anyone to attack, they’d be extremely weak to fire though, one bomb flower could decimate hundreds
You should totally make another video featuring zonai and koroks though!

Personally, I think the Rito went down far too quickly. Given they have the best mobility of the bunch (besides maybe the Yiga and the Sheikah through teleportation,) Guerilla Tactics are their best bet. They are more geared around archery than the mainly spear-fighter Gerudo, so them getting overhwhelmed while in the sky also feels a bit unlikely. Plus, the fact that the Gerudo _have_ to traverse either mountaneous or canyon regions to reach any of their foes gives them a massive disadvantage against flying foes who could either pelt them from above, or have Tulin wind-gust them off cliff-faces.
Honestly, I'd have put the Gerudo dead-last if anything, possibily even typing with the Zora, who are even worse off due to the natural weaknesses of being mainly aquatic creatures in a land dominated by...well...land.
As for the Goron, due to Death Mountain going dormant, they lack the home-field advantage innate to a fiery landscape, so they could do quite well holing themselves inside superheated caves, but trapping themselves in a corner holds its own disadvantages. Their relatively low speed also makes them easy pickings for the rest of the factions besides the physical-attacks of the Gerudo and flimsy Hylian makeshift weapons. Hell, even the Zora could perhaps hold their own since the Goron have little in the way of ranged attacks, and any Goron who falls in the water will likely sink like a rock.
As for the Yiga, they're skilled enough to certainly make a good showing, but they're also really...REALLY dumb. They'd be awful when it comes to strategizing, and would probably perish during the ambush in Gerudo Valley. (Though certainly thinning their numbers with advanced Zonai tech.) They're also unique in that they can weaponize tools only available in the depths, and could theoretically use chasms to move about completely undetected.
The Hylians meanwhile perhaps have sheer numbers advantage, wider versatility in weapons, and some decent training and soldiery through the monster control squads. They're also so similar to the Sheikah I see little reason for them not to ally, so that still checks out. Link alone _would_ essentially solo each army, but assuming he's not involved and Zelda is put in full control, Recall can still put in some serious work when playing defensively.
I'd personally give it to either the Hylians or the Rito

  • @mikeoochie7699
    @mikeoochie7699 Год назад +49

What if the sages were fighting each other?
I think Sidon would lose first to Riju because he's vulnerable to lightning and hes not that fast. I dont know if gorons can take lightning since they technically are rocks, and arrows probably wouldn't hurt them either. And if Yunobo had the advantage he wouldn't kill the other 2 sages cuz he's Yunobo, so he would probably roll away fast from Riju's lightning (if he was vulnerable to lightning)
So now its Riju vs Tulin. Riju is strong but she needs to charge her power to attack with lightning, meanwhile Tulins head shots are quick and he can fly away and dodge her lightning, So Tulin wins from Riju. But while Tulin is busy celebrating, Yunobo, who rolled back at the speed of sound, sneak attacks him from behind and Yunobo wins.

They have immense physical strength and durabilty, and are resistant to pretty much all elemental magic (immune to fire and heat in general, rocky body is non-conductive so lightning is useless, and the Zora's water attacks would do very little also). Additionally, by curling into a ball and rolling around they can move pretty quickly, which is a huge advantage. Their biggest weakness is probably a lack of agility.

Fair points, but lightning definitely destroys some rocks and at least cracks stronger rock. There's a _huge_ difference between the max temperature of lava (~2,200 F) and lightning (~50,000 F). It's not likely that the Goron can withstand the temperature of lightning. They'd undoubtedly be less affected than the other races, but it wouldn't even take a direct hit to incapacitate them, if not kill them.
But all things considered, I'm with you. They're enormously powerful, and despite their gentle nature, they would obviously fight like hell to save their people. Urbosa/Riju/whoever would have to recharge, and the Goron could just unload on her during that time at which point the Gerudo's best chance is gone and it's pretty much game over.

A few things not covered here that I believe would absolutely put gorons as the winning team:
1.) they asexually reproduce, making them the easiest to regain man power
2.) death mountain is impenetrable, and they know that. No other race can survive there, much less invade up hill against a race known for throwing rocks down hills. As long as one Goron remains on that mountain, an infinite amount of soldiers can come with time.
3.) death mountain seems to hold all the food they need as they eat special types of rocks and is full of metal for weapons. They are capable of having a closed economy meaning it’s impossible to cut off supply, further making them an absolutely impenetrable faction.
4.) they keep mining for metals in game constantly even when they don’t need it. This means they were likely exporting it and trading it for things like cloth. This would make them a powerful ally and the sudden loss of goron metals would mean armies would have to divert manpower to harvest and forge new weapons.
5.) don’t know how much this applies but in other games they are absolutely capable of forming militaries and god are they impressive.
6.) also from other games they’ve been shown wearing heavy metal armour which would basically make them indestructible from everything but a point blank canon. They also use their strength to use heavy crushing weapons like hammers as if they were short swords. This means there is 0 chance to survive a hit from a goron, and even if you did, you wouldn’t have the strength to hurt them back. They would be walking tanks.
7.) they hard counter the zora, badly. There is one bridge and 2 water access ways into the domain, the gorons like rocks and explosives. You know where this is going. The gorons could use the cliff ridges to dam the Zoras in their own home. That and the domain is an architectural nightmare, basically being a fancy hotel on stills with a giant heavy fish on top. Drop some explosives down to completely destroy their home and it’s as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.
8.) the gorons are perfect for fighting the Gerudo. The gorons can survive the desert and cut them off from the rest of hyrule. This alone would be devastating as without further access, the Gerudo straight up can not reproduce and would eventually all die out. Not only this, they’re strong, but not “stab through 6 inches of steel” strong. That and I doubt they could survive a 100 pound steel hammer going into their ribs at 50 mph. The only real threat is their champion’s lightning, but may I remind you she is a child.
9.) the yiga are the perfect allies to the gorons. The yiga can teleport, making them the most effective spies/assassins in hyrule. The main weakness is they can’t replace their numbers easily and they have no stable supply, making them have to steal and avoid direct combat. The gorons can provide all their equipment and explosives as well as protection, making the yiga the goron equivalent to the sheika.
10.) the rito live in wooden houses on a giant rock spire over a pit. Fire/bombs (super easy if the gorons have the teleporting yiga to help) and the rito are just gone.
In the finally, I believe it would be the gorons+yiga vs the hylians+sheika. Eventually the yiga would be training new goron members to replace their lost ones, who would be loyal to the gorons and likely spread their techniques. Making the ungodly OP. Even if they didn’t, the only things that could even hurt the gorons would be canons or super weapons like guardians. As long as the yiga do their jobs as spies (assassinations, sabotages, stealing battle plans, stealing blueprints for goron artisans to replicate), the hylians are just slowly gonna get worn down. No super weapons means the hylians are just gonna get bodied in head to head combat, especially if the gorons gain the ability to teleport.
I genuinely don’t see a world where the physically strongest, fastest on land, most durable, self reliant, asexually reproducing, mastery artisan crafting, diplomatic, rock boys don’t dominate any battle that doesn’t devolve into plot armour or nukes.

The only one that might compete with them in the depths is the hylians because they're the only other group investigating the depths.

The Gorons can easily out-sustain other races. Their Death Mountain offers abundant ore deposits, providing them with an abundant source of materials for crafting weapons and tools. They can also use lava as a potent fuel source, ensuring their energy needs are met in even the harshest environments. In terms of food they can straight up consume rocks to survive, granting them the ability to survive in regions where other races would struggle to find food sources during war. In combat, the Gorons can yeet themselves as living projectiles, which means infinite ammos.

Interesting fact: If you think about it, since Rito are birds, they can pull like 10-14 Gs of G-force whereas a Hylian would only be able to pull a maximum of 9 without blacking out. This means that if every nation in Hyrule developed fighter jets by reverse-engineering Zonai technology, Rito fighter pilots would have an immense advantage in close range WVR engagements, especially if their aircraft had 3D thrust vectoring like the Sukhoi SU-30SM. However, this would likely be offset by the Sheikah developing better stealth technology, such as that found in fifth generation fighters like the F-22 Raptor or F-35 Lightning II.

The yigas position in the world, with the depths being their literal fortress also puts them in an adventagous position. • @rayne_brown
    @rayne_brown 21 день назад +1

Former military here. I actually agree with much of your take. I do believe it would come down to a pitched battle between the Hylians and the Garudo however combine the fact that the hylians have a massive numbers advantage with the sheikah and in BOTH BOTW as well as TOTK there ARE some legitimate military that you do see although for the most part you would be dealing with the equivalent of trained militia i do say trained since while most militia aren't well armed thats do more to the gloom destroying weapons more than some lack of skill and we need to be mor realistic about certain aspects for example the numbers of military aged individuals in each race are more of a percentage marker rather than dead on. So their military to be realistic would be based on the number of military aged adults in each kingdom taking each number and adding about 5-7 zeros to make it more realistic. Also Tarry Town as well as Hatano village are both in areas that are in the mountains and thereby wouldnt be the easiest to invade Tarry Town especially is situationed on a plateau with only one entance which real in both cases such towns would be difficult to invade and would lead to costly battles. The Zora wouldn't have nearly as easy a time at either location as you suggested. The Zoras and the Rito are probably the weakest armies overall. The Zora Domain would be the easiest to invade. Death Mountain and the Rito villages would be the hardest. I doubt the Gorons would go on the offensive they don't really have the discipline to go toe to toe with anyone in the field and their best bet would be a layered defense of Death Mountain and the immediate surrounding region. While their lack of discipline would make a long-term term defense unlikely to be successful, it would be costly enough to break the back of any invading army. The Zora numbers while decent would be mostly negated by and their elemental weakness to electricity means as well as their relative clumsiness on land ( they arnt as sure footed as Hylians or Garudo and are physically weaker) means they aren't going to win a serious war. The Garudo while powerful, aren't powerful enough to overcome Link Zelda and the Sheikah technology. (Historically breaking into smaller groups has proven NOT to be enough to overcome concentrated cannon or gun fire and with the Sheikah and Link making all sorts of hybrid weapons the Garudo would be unlikely to break the Hylians before they are broken. (Since you had all the other Champions playing a serious role its only fair that both Link and Zelda do as well) the combination of the small veteran core of the Hylian military combined with the Powers of Link Zelda with Link and the Sheikah having made large numbers of hybrid weapons based on the ancient Sheikah and Zoni technology means that defensively the Hylians are almost guaranteed a win any realistic way you look at it. Honestly a defensive war would be the best stratagy for the hylians. Offensively it's another matter invading Death Mountain with its high heat and its terrain could very well break the Hylian military. They would most probably successfully invade, but it would likely be a pyrrhic victory one costly enough that they wouldn't have the numbers to defeat the Garudo. Meaning if the Hylians went on the offensive Death Mountain should be saved for last, and the Garudo should be first since, realistically, they are the only ones capable of defeating Hyrule. While difficult thats a fight they would most likely win after that hit the Rito and Zora only than do you invade Death Mountain.

I was almost fully expecting the yiga to win at the end, so here's a picture I was painting in my head (it's a bit long so bear with me):
The yiga DID fail the ambush on the gerudo, but instead of being slaughtered, they teleport away to safety as they always did when defeated by link, retaining their manpower. Then, master kohga (who faked is death as that's kinda his thing) returns to the depths where entire LEGIONS of yiga clan members (which, btws NO ONE knows of their existence except for link) resides, and ordered them to stay put and sharpen their skills while the clan member above, disguised as trees, feeds information of the war to their main troops down below. Once the gerudo had taken over and lowered their defenses, the elites of the yiga clan rise from hyrule field chasm with zonai rockets and balloons (these are quite abundant at constructing stations in the depths so the yiga had no trouble obtaining them) heading for lookout landing, where riju and the higher-rankings of the gerudo resides. Once there, the yiga clan AMBUSHED the gerudo, who were caught by surprise and couldn't harness the yiga clan's banana weakness or put up that much of a fight, taking over lookout landing in the process. With their leaders killed or held captive, the rest of the gerudo are at a loss and were faced by the rebelling forces led by Link, Yunobo and Sidon and backed up by Purah and Zelda. I'm not sure if the yiga can dispose of the rebels that easily after the gerudos were defeated, but at least they could've got a way better and longer campaign than they did in the video.

Ok, so, here's my evaluation having not watched the video and only getting the premise.
Garudo are strong Vs. Zora and Hylians, weak Vs. Rito and Gorons, and have the critical disadvantage of interdependency on other races for the sake of reproduction.
Gorons are strong Vs. all factions except Zora, they are weak Vs. Zora. In fact, they will completely stalemate Vs. Zora. They also have the super advantage of feeding on rocks, being able to go into a hibernation state, and are able to survive on any terrain including water and lava. (They just sink in water, but it doesn't endanger them in any way.) They also have asexual reproduction. Gorons are neither male nor female, they just reproduce with themselves.
Zora's only advantage is terrain. If they're forced to fight on land, they have an advantage of being taller than Hylians, but that's about it. They also are longer lived.
Rito have an air advantage. An air advantage is normally huge in warfare situations, but not against the foes they are dealing with. The air advantage works Vs. Garudo and Hylians, but they sorta stalemate with Zora since Zora can hide underwater, and they COMPLETELY loose Vs. Gorons since their weapons are unable to pierce Goron skin.
Hylians have the advantage of numbers, technology, and starting with the most territory. Numbers means Hylians have several logistics advantages in terms of gathering food and other things of that sort. That will give them a huge advantage over the Garudo and we saw from Tears of the Kingdom that the Rito are weak to food shortages as well. This means they will have some advantage over Rito. The Gorons and the Zora make all the Hylian advantages practically melt away though.
Hylians also have a double advantage over the Garudo due to the Garudo interdependence on Hylians in particular for their husband hunting.
Overall, it's actually the Garudo who are the most disadvantaged. Meanwhile, the Gorons are coming out ahead in just about every area conceivable.

I mean, this is Hyrule; there's eventually gonna be something else. Most of their forces would be largely untrained, though. Normally, I'd probably say it's a toss up between Hyrule and Gerudo. I personally believe that without link or Zelda, the Hylians would be screwed. Also, I believe that because of Yunoboco, the Goron’s could ally with both the Hylians and the Sheikah. Also, the Goron’s have one of the very best locations to live in because it’s on high ground, the Zora would not be able to go to death mountain even when it isn’t erupting, and if they’re in trouble, they can just hide in the hot caves. Also, the Goron’s could stop all production of flame breaker armor and fireproof elixirs for every species except for their allies. The main drawback of the Goron’s is their lack of ranger weaponry, but because of their literally rock hard skin, arrows basically do nothing. Another thing is the fact that they have a high amount of precious gems which can be used in combat.

I see the first place they go is target the Foothill stable and woodland stable while also taking control of one of the great faires they would also take encampment at the typhlo ruins. And the South akkala stable
then heading to tarry town and a minor division sent to east akkala stable killing the one knight there then heading to robbies tech lab only to be ambushed (but easily win) against the yiga there
Then I could see tary town getting overwhelmed by the zora and gorons with big fight happening with who ever takes it (lets say gorons won though very unlikely due to terrain)
The gorons head to zora's domain (while still being attaked by hylians from hyrule castle trying to get to death mountain) the zora absolutely get demolished with gorons pretty much destroying the domain the weight alone
The zora retreat only to be eliminated by hylians and shika near the wetlands
Meanwhile back to the begging with the OTHER side of the map the yiga and rito make thier first moves with the yiga invading all tribes through thier disguises and take the remaining yoga to ambush unsuspecting merchants and gerudo curing trade routes for hylians and gerudo
The rito take the children to the wind temple for safety having tulan train them
The rito soar through the skies to either attack gerudo as the gerudos trade routes are cut OR they go to the frontlines and start bombing the hylians
The gerudo are forced to leave thier home due to food shortages and get ambushed by the yiga who easily win as the gerudo had to eat the bananas they had due to starvation
Now the gerudo and zora have been eliminated
The hylians are in a rough spot being attaked by gorons on one side and the rito on the other while also being whittled down by the slowly decly in food as trade from hatteno village and lurelin village. Had suddenly stopped. This lead too the rito taking hyrule ridge and satori mountain.
The gorons continue thier march to go through kakariko village to hateno and the stables. They are stopped by hylian soldier and a combination of zonai and shieka tech. They instead op for destroying the east reservoir causing masive flood to the region of hyrule. Causing kakariko village to be almost wiped out if it wasn't for the high mountains they retreat too the gorons easily win the fight near Crenel hills because of this flood. The flood also cause wetland stable, riverside stable, Dueling peaks stable and most of faron to be flooded/demolished
Back to the rito they see all this and are perfectly fine as most of the water that soarunds the village comes from Hebra mountain and rainfall. So they take this advantage and just start going crazy with the bombs blowing up lookout landing almost ending the hylian but the hylians fought back throu a barrier created by zelda CANNONS from the hyrule field watch tower and lookout landing watchtower. Although eventually the hylians are forced to retreat due to being attacked by rito and gorons they go through the underground passageway and secretly hide out at the remains of hyrule castle
      And there fore surrendering
Now it's a fight between gorons and rito which I think would be a stalemate because of the gorons hard skin being able to withstand arrows and explosions as shown through remote bombs in botw and the. Gorons cant fight back due to not having cannons in hyrule field and not having any other ranged attacks
The yiga finally make thier move and surprise attack both sides. Therefore the yoga win due to superior strategy and wits . GLLLLOORRY TOOO MASTTERRR KHOGAAAA
Everybody be gangsta till the tiny assassins show up *koroks* with thier superior number and holding out the entire time because of the deli tree attack and overwhelm the yiga then finally the great faired show up and surrender to the cutness of the koroks

Before watching the vid lemme place my bets.
    Gerudo are a warrior tribe
Rito have flight advantage but low defense
Hylians dont have really have magic aside from Zelda, Link. but they have LOTS of soldiers and money.
The sheikah have BOTH magic and Tech. (so unless the hylians form an alliance the Sheikah have magic/tech)
The Zora have naval prowess but on the land they are weak to electric which is easy enough to produce. (fusion arrows, elemental arrows, or thunder rod)
Gorons have HIGH defense and high strength, and heat resistance. (unless its Majoras Mask rules, where they are weak to water... they can handle land, desert, and volcanic regions well enough)
    so yeah in short
last place is Zora (exploitable weakness)
    then Rito (low defense)
Hylians, Goron, Gerudo, and Shekiah I honestly dont know.
from OOT, i think the shekiah were put in their place before. (idk so maybe the Hylians are stronger?)
but yeah from BOTW the Shekiah are pretty impressive. while Ganons malice made the Guardians attack, just think if the shekiah had ill intentions towards any SINGULAR tribe. heck even funny mustach man would marvel at a tribes "obliteration"
it was the shekiah who made vah medoh (so bye bye rito)
    vah rudania (bye gorons)
    vah ruta (bye zora)
    vah naboris (bye bye gerudo)
it takes a champion AND link to over come the guardians.
so as long as zelda is kept away from Link.
and Link is kept from the Champions, then the war of attrition would mean the Shekiah would win.
even better if the Yiga form an alliance with the Shekiah.
Monk Maz Kosha and Koga would make the Sheikah unstoppable.
remember, Purah, Impa, Paya, and Robbie are all Shekah.
in addition to the foot soldiers can both use magic and stealth. so yeah good luck to any oppisition.
but yeah, i like the gorons but stats go to the sheikah tribe. sorry

Yiga would easily win if it was in the timeline were zelda aoc is. As kogha could shoot laser out of his mask and the yiga had sooga, who was a powerful swordsman. But if the simulation plays in the timeline were ganon wins like in botw instead of the champions like in aoc than the gerudo would still win.

Arent gorons supposed to resist fire and explosions? I think they would have gotten at least a little further since its nearly impossible to kill one from what we have seen. They are able to resist bomb flowers in oot as they roll down a mountain with them to open the cavern, and in mm they have massive powder kegs that dont hurt them barely at all.

This was a great video, and I’ve now fallen down a complete rabbit hole of analysis over who might win, but with all due respect, the amount of hypotheses that was applied (especially with the idea that the Sheika would be able to just pull together bomb sky view towers bc that was insane to just pull out) was wild. I was cackling through this.

The Gerudo have a disadvantage against the Yiga. The Gerudo are shown to follow the orders of their leaders, even when they find issues with the orders. The Yiga could just disguise as Riju, Buliara or other leaders of their military, and divert the Gerudo to fight the others, allowing the Yiga to surprise the Gerudo while the Gerudo are in the middle of a fight, significantly increasing their odds of victory, especially since if the Gerudo completely focus on defeating the Yiga, they will lose to whoever they were fighting. The Yiga can also teleport, allowing for a quick escape when losing the battle.

The Gerudo wouldn’t win because of one thing transportation. The Hylians and Sheikah have a monopoly on horses, the zora are fast swimmers, the Gorons can roll and the rito can fly but the Gerudo only have sand seals which will only take them to the edge of the desert the rest of the way on foot until they acquire enough horses to accommodate most of their forces.

I don't think the Gorons would be that dumb. Despite not having a proper organized military they DO have an organized mining corp and I imagine this could set up an effective DEFENSE of Death Mountain. The Gorons have no reason to launch a massive offensive. They have all the resources they need to be self reliant and simply ward off invaders from the mountain.
The Rito I'd agree need to go on an offensive but towards the Gerudo? The Gerudo have no good way of reaching Rito Village without going through the mountains which would be VERY difficult especially for the Gerudo. The Rito should have attacked the Hylians. They can simply attack the Hylians in a hit and run tactic. They have no good reason to stay in the area and can instead weaken their neighbor and force them to deal with the issue by launching an invasion of Rito territory.
The Zora are basically screwed. They simply don't have the numbers to effectively fight back against any of the other races. Their strategy should have been to stay in the water and not engage on major land battles unless it's in their own territory. Even then unless they hide under water they can't possibly win this war.
The Gerudo still have a massive advantage with their warrior culture and experience. Their strategy was sound. Attack the Hylians while they are busy dealing with the Zora and Gorons and in this case now also Rito. They will simply dominate over the Hylian, Zora and Rito armies in a controlled battle. Hyrule is in a bad situation surrounded and lacking in experienced forces alongside no benefits. The Hylians only hope is to quickly beat the Gerudo or the other 3 races first before attacking the others. But they still might lose and even if they win their numbers would be severely diminished.
I think the Gorons could win this because all they need to do is stay in Death Mountain and defeat invaders. Other races don't have such luxury.

  • @rolandswift4311

I have to disagree about the Zora being able to take Terry Town easily. It might be surrounded by water on all sides, but its way up out of the water and there's no waterfalls for the Zora to gain altitude without moving too far away to be effective. The Zora would either have to take the land bridge or climb up the cliff faces, both of which would put them in vulnerable positions and make the fight like shooting fish in a barrel for a militia stationed in TT, especially considering how much they've been experimenting with Zonai devices. The much bigger threat to TT is its diverse population making it vulnerable to its own mini-civil war.
I also want to point out that Rito village is in a very easily defensible position. If they just destroyed the bridge and focused on hit and run fly by attacks before returning to their inaccessible to all but them home base; they'd easily have a massive advantage.
It should also be acknowledged that being able to successfully retreat with no major casualties IN NO WAY represents a defeat nor a surrender. The Sheika and the Hylians could easily regroup and fortify locations like the Akala Citadel or the Great Plateau to launch a counter offensive and drive the Gerudo back into the desert.

I think an interesting factor that could play in the Zora's favours are that they are scaled, so that could provide a bit more toughness in place of armour. i think they have these scales (You get a kings scale in game), but you cant see them due to the stylised visuals of the game

What about the Koroks? They are IMMORTAL. If Riju hit them with her lightning power, they would just slightly fumble while saying "Ouchie" and then ram their way into the Gerudo when the Gerudo claimed Hyrule as their own with their Forest Dweller's Spears, impale Riju with their swords, and finally finish the Gerudo off, making Hyrule "Korok Kingdom".

WOAH WOAH WOAH, yiga easily sweep this, you killed them based on bannas that the gerudo have never been shown to have access to. The yiga have so much technology and enough military to populate the depths (which must be counted since this is post/during totk). Their magic and tech would destroy the other armya with teleporting gorilla warfare which is well within their strategy. Anyway great vid but yiga DEFINITELY sweep this whole thing.

  • @kylologie6487

I would say itd be a close final fight between the yiga and hylian-sheika alliance because the sheika would be smart enough to not rely on one type of weapon based around tight groups and even if they did the cannons can still pick off smaller groups effectively, just at a slower rate. Also, yiga have a habit of teleporting away before they actually die and they would have a much wider range of zonai tech other than a single flying machine as a distraction, as well as the fact that they have been shown to be able to resist banana distractions mid-combat and in disguise. The rito also wouldnt have been taken down so easily by the gerudo as their main advantage is high mobility that would allow them to quickly retreat if they start taking too many casualties. Finally, the hylians do somewhat have a natural disadvantage but they’re used to fighting with it and have knowledge of the other groups’ weaknesses. They could have easily forced the gorons onto a single bridge were they could have either slowly chipped away at them or destroyed the bridge to drown some and force others to find an alternate route. The effect of the numbers difference was also massively downplayed as well as their various settlements that would have provided good support points and tarrey town’s location above the lake would have most likely allowed them to withstand the zora’s attack, of course assuming that they wouldnt be an independent neutral nation due to their cultural diversity.

I reckon that, if the Gorons were to face the Zora, they would absolutely decimate them. As the Gorons can also breath underwater and don't have the disadvantage of electricity, they might even beat the Zora in their own domain. (Source: Majora's Mask).
