Hi everyone, thanks so much for the support on this video!! I wanted to be clear on one point, just so there's no confusion. In the video I said, "this is my first video," and while that is true, I have made other videos for others over the years. This is just the first video I've made 100% on my own (idea, writing, thumbnail, editing, etc.), on my own channel. I just didn't want anyone to think I was claiming that this was the first time I had ever put a video together 😃
I still think that's great though! Half of the difficulty is in coming up with a great idea and figuring out how to execute it, so I don't think that having made videos for others in the past diminishes that at all!! Keep up the good work :)
I thought of some vid ideas you may have interest in :> -Which location is the best for farming? -safest locations for living (only safety matters…not food or water) -similar to a documentary done on them by The Bread Pirate, you should have a video with the POV of a bokoblin -on the topic of bokoblins, which place in Hyrule is best for them? -rating each village’s food (Goron Spice, Fortified pumpkins in Kakariko, etc.)
I’d like to mention that Hateno is a little bit more level too. In Kakariko the village is basically on a slope so you are forced to walk up or down hill to get anywhere. Plus there’s these guys obsessed with bananas who are pretty bad, they can get scary close to Kakariko. They even managed to take out one of the villagers. Another downside of Kakariko is that one of the neighbors has almost a dozen cucco. At sunrise it’s just a cacophony of squawks and no one is willing to say anything bad because he is estranged from his wife and in a rough spot. Rumor has it that he chose the cuccos over her though. I’m starting to see why Nikki and Amira have so much fun gossiping.
@@youraveragehylian oh you should do a video on all the local gossip of all the towns. Btw this video is crazy good for your first one I can see your channel growing fast
I noticed when monsters chase you, they do attack other people but they won't go near any towns or stables. So sticking close to civilization would mean that you are safe.
You can never forget the housing market! Hateno Village is the only place in the game that has a house you can buy for yourself (since most, if not all, Tarrey Town houses are occupied by other people)
I almost didn’t believe you when you said this was your first video. The editing and overall quality of it is outstanding so much better than some other established RUclips channels. Can’t wait to see more!
It looks like the algorithm really liked this video! A lot of people enjoyed it, and so did I! Your pacing is great, and the visuals you used are very good too! Please tell us more about your findings living in Hyrule!
Ooh I always thought it would be fun to get a "Vacationer's Guide to Hyrule" sort of thing - i.e. comparing what different types of vacations tourists are looking for, the trips to get to said destination and how long it would take to travel, how many activities there are to do/sights to see, etc...). Stuff like Lurelin village for those who want a relaxing beach stay, Pondo's Lodge for the more adventurous skiers, Satori Mountain for those who just want a chill camping weekend picking apples at the orchard, Zora's Domain for the culture, the Forgotten Temple for the history buffs, which stable is the best for a two-week ranch stay, etc...).
Hmm, thinking about it a little more, I’d probably put it at number 4, just barely under Lurelin, Kakariko, and Hateno. The town has everything you need in a tidy little settlement, and I don’t mind the heat too much. But I don’t like the sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
IIRC, one of the back exits to Kakariko village has a full Guardian Stalker roaming the field nearby. As much as I'm sure they have great warriors there, I don't know if I'd wanna take my chances with such a threat lurking nearby. Another plus for Hateno is the big telescope on the top of the hill to watch for the approach of invading forces.
I would say that the issue with Hateno's telescope is that you'd need to be allowed to use it by the one living there who i forgot the name of, but then again, if invaders even did Show up She would probably be happy to do anything to help defend the town.
I think Sheikah are able to defeat a single Guardian, Robbie is just a scientist but in his diary he talked like beating Guardians weren't a big deal in his prime days lol
This man needs to make a wild life documentary for this game. Everything from squirrels to a mulduga. Another idea would be a commercial for eventide island! Keep up the great work. The only critique I have is to make funny edits for jokes. Like the paint shop guy, edit what’s seen to be more dramatic. Great work though overall!!
The witty jokes, the striking cinematography, the novel concept... I can't wait to see more from this new Hylian resident! Have you considered making a vlog-style video, tracking a day in the life of a Hylian cinematographer and his travels?
Rito Village would probably be my favourite place to live, just because of the local landscape (I like the cold too). Then again, the more hardened Hylian might choose to live in a remote log cabin instead. Maybe you could rank those next?
i agree i would choose rito village also for the fact i really like the rito with a stable nearby and a very nice walk from the bridges to the village at least looks nice in game and i think the cold is good
If I were to live in Hyrule, I would probably imagine myself to be a sort of nomad. As with all the different towns to live in, I'd find it interesting to travel about and make my earnings as a traveling storyteller, similar to Traci. But I also like the idea of just going where I want to go, when I want to.
Yeah it’s hard to choose just one place. My first draft of this video involved also scouting out locations outside of the established settlements, but that proved to be a bigger undertaking for a single video. Plus, I figured it’d be safer amongst a community. But could be something to look at in the future!
@@youraveragehylian You could use those locations and make a video that's like "locations for adventerous folks who want to start new settlements" or something like that!
@@youraveragehylian Maybe a cool video or series idea is where you travel along all the stables and talk about them, if you didn't already think of that of course
Damn, this is nice. And I totally agree, I would move to Hateno myself. It's peaceful and safe, with you able to see an invasion long before it hits the town. As for future documentaries, I prefer historical ones, so the history of the different groups would be cool. However, I would be fine with documentaries on wildlife.
I literally didn’t even know Lurelin existed until I was over 150 hours into the game AND on my second play through. I only found it because I was hunting for koroks and saw that there was quite a few over there😅
What are your favorite meals as an average hylian? I suppose it depends on how easy the food source is in your hometown. I bet there's some delicacies that's hard to get to, food that's rare, yet STILL not worth it, and a list of recipes you make all the time! How about potions? Do you keep a certain amount in your pockets all the time such as a healing potion or a heat resistance potion depending on if the summer heat is too much? I am having so so much fun with this idea of yours!! Keep up the great work man :)
I can already tell from the work put into this video, and your interactions with viewers in the comments that you are gonna do well!! I can’t wait to follow with you as you grow :)
I would argue that if invaders blocked the canyon, all it would do is make Lurelyn safer. They still have access to the sea, and therefore all the food they need, and also a way out to other parts of the world. They can also get fresh water from any stream flowing into sea, by gathering rain water, or by distilling sea water.
@@ditwitt2380 if an invading force was to invade Hyrule it would definitely come from the sea. Hyrule has literally no naval power with only one defensive fort that has cannons. They would most likely take the port village of Lurelyn mostly unharmed as destroying or trapping it from all sides would dampen its use as a place to land troops and repair ships.
Korok forest/Kakiriko for me. The former is creepy but pretty much impenetrable while the second is safe with good connections to elsewhere, also I just love the atmosphere of those two
For your first video, this is really good. It feels professional, and the camera work looks great, too. Looking forward to seeing what you've got planned next!
I can't believe this is your first video. It looks like the kind of videos more established youtubers might make. It was really good. Also, I think a nature documentar type video about different enemies might be interesting!
I think a fun series to do would be an in depth look at each town individually, one video could be on Kakariko Village, another could be on Hateno, and so on and so forth
Dude, no way is this your first video, this is so polished and entertaining! If you're looking for video ideas, how about a nature documentary of the different regions looking at the native animals, common plants, and even regional monsters? Or informative videos on each of the settlements and their native races? Really looking forward to what else you put out, man!
Personally, I’d pick Rito Village. I love the cold, and the higher altitude would keep me feeling secure, despite the lack of full walls. And while I’ve never been terribly fond of the Rito, I have no reason to dislike them (except for Revali), and they are very skilled archers, so defense wouldn’t be much of a concern for me. Also, for a future video, maybe you could do something that like observes Link. Like you have no idea who this guy is or why he’s climbing on roofs or breaking pots, but it grabs your interest.
one issue. I think Lurelin, while not esily defensible, does have the rescources to survive easily accessible. There's a pond at the base of the mountain fed by a waterfall where you can get fresh water without climbing.
I think Hateno is just the best option overall. It's a very big versatile town, where you can find basically anything you need. There is a lot of shops, stands, and businesses that are in Hateno, not to mention their very own research lab! The area is very safe and the community is large. There is also housing available, which would be a problem in Kakariko. Also, the Yiga Clan could be a danger in Kakariko. The food sources are basically limited to 2 local farms that make a single vegetable small scale, and some eggs. And any variety from outside of the village could be hard to find, as the community is quite cold and closed to travelers and traders due to the risks connected with Yiga
Dude, I am so thankful for these captions. Especially considering this was your first video (WOW!!) it's really incredible that you added them. Please keep doing so, I really appreciate it. I loved this video a ton.
@@youraveragehylian trust me, near to no one makes captions, even those with a script. If you're making all videos like this, you're gonna have a very loyal subscriber supporting you!
I don’t even know much about Hyrule but I feel like this is a well made and appealing way to get the word out! I like your animated narration decisions too. Stay safe out there in the wild!
For a first video it was so expertly made! Reading the comments I know everyone else agrees! Keep up the great work! I think documenting which region would be the best to make settlements in sounds cool. Just a suggestion. You’re doing great
I'd love to see content like documentaries in a similar style to "Life as a Bokoblin" by Monster Maze. It'd be pretty cool. And you're just on time to build your channel with the hype for Tears of the Kingdom releasing soon this year. I'm sure the path you've paved for your channel will be a smooth one for this upcoming year!
I already assumed from the beginning it was going to be Hateno Village. Its just the most normal feeling of the towns by far, since it doesn't have any other specific design feature other than being a normal town (that's not to say its design is bad, its in fact the only town that doesn't have some design gimmick). I wouldn't mind living in Kakariko village though, I really like the rain (although, in the less-modern Hyrule, the architecture probably isn't quite so good at keeping out the cold... but who knows).
I heard from a fisherman, that fish actually do not emit all that much smell until they are dead, so you wouldn't really have to worry about the smell of Zorans. Doesn't really matter, just thought it was something interesting worth mentioning, lol.
Congrats on the channel launch, S-tier immersive explaination for the channel as well. Conclusion was a little rushed, but great first vid. Looking forward to your exploration of Hyrule, hope to get some ideas I can add to my homestead
One time I stalked a merchant between hos travel: he was attacked 3 times by bokoblins and run for his live in 2; in the third, he got hit and I saved him, was a very funny thing to do!
Isn’t there the oase near Gerudo town? That place would actually be a cool option. They have everything you need, there is gerudian protection, and a nice pool right in the middle. And on top of that, gerudo town is right next door, so they are also a plus point.
Oase sounds like a good place to hang out... Also when it comes to Ganon's goal of ruling Hyrule; large machinery sinks in the sand - the desert area will probably not be among the first targets for their armies to march against.
yeah I'd definitely live in Hateno too you had a bunch of good points about all of them though this video was great! I'm exited to see the channel grow :)
THIS is your first video?? I enjoyed it so much!! I would love to see an advertisement for certain weapons, or an in depth documentary about an interesting NPC’s life- but i’ll watch anything you make!!! :)
My personal pick is Lurelin. It feels the safest due to its sheer distance from the Ganon-controlled hotspots, and life there seems like it would be nice once you accept and join in with the local culture. If the problem is just that there isn’t a certain shop there, start one up yourself.
Sweet video man, i cant believe its your first! I can already tell you’re going to be an amazing content creator. Good luck and keep up the amazing content! ❤
there’s a couple things i don’t really agree with - 1. the last thing invading forces want is to block off they’re olny access point to the villages, as it would be very inefficient to try get the army over the barrier. 2. luralin has a very easy way out; the way they are rumored to get into hyrule, thru the ocean, or they can go around a small nearby cliff and go towards hateno for better protection. there also isn’t very many monsters around lurelin so it’s pretty safe. but i get this is your opinion and your video so pls don’t take this the wrong way😭
I'd love to see like a mini documentary on the world of Shield Surfing, or may be doing a piece on some abandoned structures (you know after the hero, clears out the monsters)
i almost fell from my chair when you said that this was your first video! keep up the great editing and genius video ideas. cause i dont want to have subscribed for nothing
this is seriously your first video?? i think you're bound to make great videos, this was fantastic great visuals, commentary, and humor. This is seriously better than many videos by big youtubers
Maybe you could start a small civilization on the Great Plateau? Lots of land for farming and housing, rivers and lakes for fishing and water, local game and fish for meat, and generally pretty safe. You just need to clear out the enemies that have already camped out. Hide behind a rock and throw them a poisonous elixir. Trying to figure out an easy accessible entrance/exit to get to the town is the tricky part… just hire some engineers and construction workers to build an entrance or two.
This was an awesome first video! I personally would love to move to the Rito Village! As long as you've got warm clothes and a paraglider it's still easy to get around, and without Revali around the (bird) people are pretty nice! 😉
I like this and would like kakariko village as top choice for a family to thrive you have the dairy and domestic farm animals...but I liked your reasons too. Suggestion: how does beedle travel all over Hyrule without a weapon to defend himself? What routes would an avg hylian travel with minimum weapon usage, let's say a wooden sword and shield? Is it possible? Beedle has a dangerous job and the game doesn't show how he survived life out on the road...he's usually at a stable when we meet him. Would the avg Hylian need body guards? Look forward to your next video.
You made a good choice with hateno! I hear rumors of some weird statue thing that talks to those that go near it, and the old woman that lives at the top of hill in that research... observatory.... thing apparently had a kid, or something like that, everyone keeps saying they hear some kid chatting away in there. Not to mention that old shrine looking thing with the weird pedestal, and past the shrine, across the bridge is that abandoned house that those... whatever-son guys are trying to tear down to make way for their crappy block style houses! Hateno is just FULL of content!!
Amazing! I really enjoyed you talking about each town, giving reasonyable arguments for each and every one and giving me a throwback to the time i still played the game myself 4 years ago... Good Times... :) You really crushed it with your first video, wow! +1 Sub for sure!! Greetings from Austria xD
I legitimately had to pause the video & check when you said this was your first video. What an incredible debut. Even with influences & a general knowledge of how it’s done, this was a great, well edited, well scripted, & super captivating video. Looking forward to more.
Hey, Love the video, I agree with hateno, there is a couple of reasons way. 1) You got Access to the Tech Lab at the top of the hill and maybe they can help you with any tech problems. 2) you could buy that home at the back of the village that's being demolished, all you need to buy it is 30 bundles of wood and 3,000 Rupees, yeah it's alot but it's worth it. I'll make sure to say hi when I pass through next time, great vid and you just earned a sub
I'd have to go with Lurelin, It's also my favourite town because it's just so quiet and scenic compared to other places in hyrule. It's also close to a big ol jungle with lots of cattle to hunt for food + a horse stable. It's pretty aight and one of my top destinations in Hyrule.
Hey I think Rito village is a bit more hospitable than you made it out to be. Sure it is high up and the houses are very open, but there’s no reason your new home would have to be. Even if you purchased an old Rito home to stay in it’d only take a few tarps to help seal it in and with a little more elbow grease you could probably erect some proper wooden walls to help provide better insulation from the cold. Plus the flying Rito would almost certainly have the best access to trade. So anything you couldn’t find in the village, I’m certain you’d be able to find someone willing to go out and get it for you. And of course, you cannot deny the comfort of a Rito-Down bed. You’d be able to get one for yourself and have possibly one of the comfiest places to sleep in all of hyrule on top of a great view to boot!
Can we please get hylian product commercials as RUclips shorts?? That would be good for a quick video. Documentaries about specific, buildings, families, quests, and stories would make good for long videos such as this. Maybe cover some of the stuff that the hero of hyrule did, I hear he’s pretty famous.
As a trans woman, being allowed to live in Gerudo Town would be incredibly euphoric for me, but seeing as I'd need to commute to Hateno Village every day so I can help Purah make a gender swapping rune for the Shiekah Slate, I'm not exactly sure it'd be the first location I could live in. I'd have to live in Hateno for a while.
@@kushalupadhyay9052 I'm certain with enough rupees I could get her to help. And also, a weight loss rune is a lot different than a gender swapping rune, conceptually. You can lose weight with a proper diet and exercise. You can't change your biological sex characteristics without hormonal or surgical intervention. I'm sure I'm not the only trans woman in Hyrule, and I'm also sure that there aren't just trans women in Hyrule. (Also I'm mad desperate and this is the only way with hyrule's technology that I could get what I need, so I don't have a choice but to try.)
This is good quality for a first video, I will keep watching and as far as suggestions would love to see some sort of look into the individual villages and overall story from the view of a average hylian like yourself. I am exited to see what you make!
this is your first video? this is the best editing i’ve seen ever on a first video. i think you’ll get very far if you keep this up! and also the analysis is amazing!
I can’t believe you said only link could survive that dive. A rito could fly in and out of tarrey town, Gorons are pretty strong and could make it out alive, Zora jump from shatterback point all the time, and I heard that with sticks and some cloth that you can make a flying device, letting the two others get down safely.
Can you make a commercial for a hypothetical Beedle-Mart? I've had this idea in my head for hours. Beedle is my favourite ☺☺ Great video, I can't believe it's your first! Congratulations on the insane channel growth!!
Dang this is a great video. Even with my very limited info on Legends of Zelda as a whole you still managed to entertain me. And this is you first video very impressive. I look forward to more videos of yours.
ah, one of my old dreams, living hyrule (if we put ganon aside). since I like to go on adventures, exploring town to town, I’d just want to have multiple places that I could retreat to. Id love to have a tent in kara kara bazaar just like the ones that already are there, but also a hut of some sort in the faron region around the floria falls or lurelin village. oh yeah, can’t forget that area around foothill stable. would be nice to have a house there by that lake, east of the hot lakes… you would get that summer warmth all year round because of death mountain… This might sound kinda weird but I would like to have a small house made by bolson construction at lake saria in the lost woods. don’t know why, I understand that people find the place eerie and scary with the creepy trees, but that place with the lake just seems so peaceful and beautiful, in my eyes. just a small hut that I can teleport to, when I need some quiet lol. I simply would like to live everywhere. A hut in the hebra region wouldn’t be bad either lol, gerudo, faron, akkala and hebra are my favourite places in botw :p
The little Beach village may not have a nearby water source. But it also rains quite often, then there's also the survival technique of getting fresh water out of the saltwater. Then there's plenty of a fruits and I bet there are coconuts The issue with Tarrytown is that you could make a type of elevator or just have a really long rope and a bucket. But the guardians can definitely climb whatever the heck they want
Thankfully they don't know how to swim, but doesn't Terry town have a fountain in the middle of it? For aesthetic purposes or not, I'm drinking from that fountain!
Amazing job on your first video, I really thought this was a much bigger channel that I just didn’t know about, and then I heard what you said Excited to see what you come up with next!
The things that made me instantly choose Hateno if I were to move to Hyrule are the following: Self sufficient farms, a dude monitoring the only entrance who is very quick to spot potential threats, an ancient lab up the road where the stuff would help heavily against an invading force, Fort Hateno, and a shop where you can buy LITERAL KNIGHT’S ARMOR. Seems pretty good to me
This was an incredibly fun video to watch. I can't believe it's your first one, I'm excited to see more and maybe when TotK comes out you can make an updated or part 2 that goes over any new areas or changes that would make certain villages less safe.
Holy cow it really was the channel's first video. Great content and editing man. You have a good voice for RUclips too. I would like to point out that you also picked the only established village with new growth in it. Tarry town is new so not established. Only hateno has the new modular homes at the edge of the original town. This is important for at least 2 reasons. Firstly, you know they are used to new people moving in and expanding and they will be friendly to another new edition since they already accepted several others, the carpenters even chill there so you would instantly be plugged into the community there by befriending them. Secondly, new growth in a town is a sign that the economy is growing. Almost nowhere else has recovered from the ganon apocalypse in hundred years! So its safe to assume the economy and future prospects in most areas are trash. The fact that hateno is expanding is proof that they have managed to recover in some manner. Most likely due to their crops, water, and natural defenses plus the fort at the base of the village. The less time a group of people spend on the basics of survival like food, water, and defense, the more time they have to improve rather than just survive. Overall i think that as an average human, in a nonstandard environment, you made an excellent decision. You also acknowledged your basis and all the factors outside of your control. So you were scientific, and cool. Props to you my man.
Personally, I would also choose Hateno, but mainly because Link lives there and there is easy beach access. Great first vid, you earned a sub from me! Keep up the good work.
Hateno was my first choice: plenty of food and water, thriving economy, plenty of beds, a defensible position with easy avenues for escape. It's got it all!
Great video! I'd also pick up Hateno for all that reasons, but also because aesthetically it's my favourite village. It's the typical happy, quiet and prosperous fantasy little town where you could spend a serene life
This Botw Content is very fun and enjoyable to watch! I havent really seen this type of video plot before so its super cool. I can't believe this is your first video! it was very polished and neat. Can't wait for future videos in Hyrule.
Another factor to consider is the fact that you do not have infinite money. You can't make it off of shops alone. Therefore, the home you decide on should also have a way for you, your average human, to gather food and cash. Because of this, my pick to live in would be Lurelin. Kakariko only has a few privately owned farms, and, while Hateno's fields could be community run, it seems unlikely. Lurelin's beaches and oceans have no owner, letting you fish and pick coconuts to your heart's content. Goron City and Gerudo town raise similar problems to Kakariko. Rito Village and Tarrey Town are surrounded by lakes, most likely teeming with fish, but a lack of easy water access would make harvesting that abundance difficult. The closest runner up is in fact Korok Forest. The dense woodlands would provide many opportunities for foraging, and the benevolent acts of the spirits themselves would not hurt either. But the lack of easy access coupled with the fact that you canonically cannot *see* your would-be hosts, means that living in the Forest, would very quickly turn into a droning, lifeless, bore. All in all, I think that Lurelin is the best overall. You could argue the defences aren't great, but simply evacuating into the sea and burning any boats you leave behind would give your would-be assailants no way to chase you. ...I don't know how to end this.
There's plenty of work to do on the farm and Hateno farms could totally use helping hands. From fieldwork to milking cows and goats or sheering sheep and even proccessing those things into sellable goods, there's no shortage of things one could be hired on for!
Also with Gerudo Village being in the middle of the freaking desert That means local sources of food and water are gonna be pretty limited So if the trade network breaks down, say due to a local and very virulent criminal gang, that might be an issue
This is a very good video for your first video, and I cant wait to see you grow! As far as town choices go, I would've personally chosen Kakariko. This is mainly because of the look of the town compared to Hateno. Other than this, I agree with you on every point you made.

This would be fun to make!
I'm curious how you'd rate Gerudo Village for the accepted demographic. Would it make it to the final selection?
Hmm, thinking about it a little more, I’d probably put it at number 4, just barely under Lurelin, Kakariko, and Hateno. The town has everything you need in a tidy little settlement, and I don’t mind the heat too much. But I don’t like the sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
@@youraveragehylian I was already liking, subscribing and commenting, but that response gets you a share as well. xD
Same (except I was the 12 sub)
How 1??1??1
@@youraveragehylian wow you were funny in the vid and made a Star Wars reference I think the force is very strong with this one
I’m pretty sure there’s 3 or 4 Guardians roaming near Kakariko Village, not just one.
Have you considered making a vlog-style video, tracking a day in the life of a Hylian cinematographer and his travels?
a vlog style series would be fun!
I just posted a Short you might be interested in!
Rito Village would probably be my favourite place to live, just because of the local landscape (I like the cold too). Then again, the more hardened Hylian might choose to live in a remote log cabin instead. Maybe you could rank those next?
i agree i would choose rito village also for the fact i really like the rito with a stable nearby and a very nice walk from the bridges to the village at least looks nice in game and i think the cold is good
Me too!
Me too! Rito village is just my kind of town plus I can bundle up without being judged.
Id definitely be a travelling historian WOOOO!! We can band together
I only found it because I was hunting for koroks and saw that there was quite a few over there😅
where does it lie
Lol same I was looking for shrines and koroks and I just found it and I was amazed!
Same
@@guardman6806 Far to the southeast.
How insane. I saw the beach at the Southwest corner and followed it to its end at the Northeast.
Yes I was going to also suggest a food blog lol. Even Keto/ Paleo, vegetarian, etc
I can already tell from the work put into this video, and your interactions with viewers in the comments that you are gonna do well!! I can’t wait to follow with you as you grow :)
I appreciate that!
I love the way your camera work in-game looks so cineamtic like a nature documentary. Definitely keep up with this style if you like it!
Thank you!! I’d love to experiment with more camera tools in the future, but was happy with how this turned out. I’m glad you liked it!
Yeah, but one of theit best fishing spots is occupied by monsters, unless Link comes and deals with them
if the invaders had a navy they could blockade lurelyn
@@ditwitt2380 if an invading force was to invade Hyrule it would definitely come from the sea. Hyrule has literally no naval power with only one defensive fort that has cannons.
They would most likely take the port village of Lurelyn mostly unharmed as destroying or trapping it from all sides would dampen its use as a place to land troops and repair ships.
@@jblockminermc5401 good point
Korok forest/Kakiriko for me. The former is creepy but pretty much impenetrable while the second is safe with good connections to elsewhere, also I just love the atmosphere of those two
For your first video, this is really good. It feels professional, and the camera work looks great, too. Looking forward to seeing what you've got planned next!
I can't believe this is your first video. It looks like the kind of videos more established youtubers might make. It was really good.
Also, I think a nature documentar type video about different enemies might be interesting!
Thanks a bunch! I’d love to do some documentaries
I feel like there’s a good chance I could bump into Link as I travel! But no luck… yet
Also, could joining the yiga clan be a viable solution?
Dude, I am so thankful for these captions. Especially considering this was your first video (WOW!!) it's really incredible that you added them. Please keep doing so, I really appreciate it. I loved this video a ton.
I had already written out the script so it just made sense to add them! Glad you found it helpful
@@youraveragehylian trust me, near to no one makes captions, even those with a script.
If you're making all videos like this, you're gonna have a very loyal subscriber supporting you!
What a cool and original idea!
Thank you :D
wow. thats a really good quality for someone who is just starting with youtube. looking forward what comes next
You’re doing great
I think you’ll enjoy my next video 👀
@@youraveragehylian how often will you upload? I'm just curious.
Man this video was really well-made, can’t wait to check out more of your content!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Much appreciated!
Best part about this video is i got several home insurance ads right as you started talking about goron city
THIS is your first video? That was waaaaay better than I would expect from someone's first steps into video creation!
Also when it comes to Ganon's goal of ruling Hyrule; large machinery sinks in the sand - the desert area will probably not be among the first targets for their armies to march against.
yeah I'd definitely live in Hateno too
you had a bunch of good points about all of them though
this video was great! I'm exited to see the channel grow :)
Glad you enjoyed!
The editing is unbelievable 😮❤ Please make more videos
I’m planning on it!
Sweet video man, i cant believe its your first! I can already tell you’re going to be an amazing content creator. Good luck and keep up the amazing content! ❤
Well done. For your first video, it is astonishingly well edited. I hope to see more videos of the Hylian perspective later on. Good luck out there!
there’s a couple things i don’t really agree with -
1. the last thing invading forces want is to block off they’re olny access point to the villages, as it would be very inefficient to try get the army over the barrier.
2. luralin has a very easy way out; the way they are rumored to get into hyrule, thru the ocean, or they can go around a small nearby cliff and go towards hateno for better protection. there also isn’t very many monsters around lurelin so it’s pretty safe.
but i get this is your opinion and your video so pls don’t take this the wrong way😭
I'd love to see like a mini documentary on the world of Shield Surfing, or may be doing a piece on some abandoned structures (you know after the hero, clears out the monsters)
i almost fell from my chair when you said that this was your first video! keep up the great editing and genius video ideas. cause i dont want to have subscribed for nothing
I’ll do my best :) thanks for subbing!
this is seriously your first video?? i think you're bound to make great videos, this was fantastic great visuals, commentary, and humor. This is seriously better than many videos by big youtubers
Thank you so much!!
Not bad for a first video. (subbed) look forward to more of your content! ^^
Honestly, good start on a first video!
TotK Spoilers:
You definitely made the right call about not living in Lurelin, there were indeed invaders
Danke!
this is your first video?! it’s fantastic! great work on this, it was very interesting!
Holy Turd this is AMAZING! I can’t believe this channel doesn’t have more subscribers.
Yeah, fair points. I might have to get a rito feather mattress at my new place regardless!
Purah would NOT help a round person, you not special 😭
Id love to have a tent in kara kara bazaar just like the ones that already are there, but also a hut of some sort in the faron region around the floria falls or lurelin village. oh yeah, can’t forget that area around foothill stable. would be nice to have a house there by that lake, east of the hot lakes… you would get that summer warmth all year round because of death mountain…
This might sound kinda weird but I would like to have a small house made by bolson construction at lake saria in the lost woods. don’t know why, I understand that people find the place eerie and scary with the creepy trees, but that place with the lake just seems so peaceful and beautiful, in my eyes. just a small hut that I can teleport to, when I need some quiet lol.
I simply would like to live everywhere. A hut in the hebra region wouldn’t be bad either lol, gerudo, faron, akkala and hebra are my favourite places in botw :p
Insane editing for a first video great video overall
damn this was a really good first video! I can agree with you about living in hateno, really relaxing place.
The little Beach village may not have a nearby water source. But it also rains quite often, then there's also the survival technique of getting fresh water out of the saltwater.
Then there's plenty of a fruits and I bet there are coconuts
The issue with Tarrytown is that you could make a type of elevator or just have a really long rope and a bucket.
But the guardians can definitely climb whatever the heck they want
Thankfully they don't know how to swim, but doesn't Terry town have a fountain in the middle of it?
For aesthetic purposes or not, I'm drinking from that fountain!
Amazing job on your first video, I really thought this was a much bigger channel that I just didn’t know about, and then I heard what you said
Excited to see what you come up with next!
Incredible first video, not many people can just make something of this level of quality on the first go
The things that made me instantly choose Hateno if I were to move to Hyrule are the following: Self sufficient farms, a dude monitoring the only entrance who is very quick to spot potential threats, an ancient lab up the road where the stuff would help heavily against an invading force, Fort Hateno, and a shop where you can buy LITERAL KNIGHT’S ARMOR. Seems pretty good to me
This was an incredibly fun video to watch. I can't believe it's your first one, I'm excited to see more and maybe when TotK comes out you can make an updated or part 2 that goes over any new areas or changes that would make certain villages less safe.
Can’t believe this is your first video. This was really cool! Would love to see more.
More to come!
@@youraveragehylian Awesome
This video is very high-quality especially for your first video, the camera shot amazing!
(Btw I just realized I was your 2000th subscriber!)
Yay, thanks for coming aboard for the ride!
Dude, your videos made me laugh so hard that I’m in tears! Thank you for your effort in these videos

cant wait to see what you do with your channel. good work here and keep it up
Hard to believe this is your first video. You have a lot of talent! Looking forward to seeing more videos from this channel!
Also with Gerudo Village being in the middle of the freaking desert
That means local sources of food and water are gonna be pretty limited
So if the trade network breaks down, say due to a local and very virulent criminal gang, that might be an issue
That was a joy to watch :)) so wholesome!! Keep up the happy vibes and I CANT WAIT to see you make videos on tears of the kingdom 🙏
First video!? Wow keep it up, looking forward to the future videos!
This video was super well made, huge Zelda fan, so I will definitely be keeping up with you channel! ❤
This is a very good video for your first video, and I cant wait to see you grow! As far as town choices go, I would've personally chosen Kakariko. This is mainly because of the look of the town compared to Hateno. Other than this, I agree with you on every point you made.
That was a great Video! I was surprised that this was your first video and it deserves so much more attention :)
Keep it up with the good stuff!
