Don't forget the Gene's scream on Young and Wasted song. I saw KISS in Europe during a Monsters of Rock and Gene sung that tune like in the record. Both Gene and Paul were on fire that afternoon.

oh man, gene has got 30 or 40 great vocals. I have a Just Gene play list and it rocks nonstop. He will always be a great rock and roll star/songwriter to me

Absolutely love it. Gene Simmons is such an underrated singer, and you are such an underrated channel.
You should check out Joe Duplantier from Gojira. His voice has got a pretty unique tone to it. Probably one of my favorite modern metal vocalists.
There's a part of Watchin' You, the version from Alive! where Gene also goes very high and he is supposed to be singing live.

was expecting the end of his version of When you wish upon a star, I always wondered about that note on Man of 1,000 faces, thought maybe it was Donna Summer, but when I was young, I could hit those notes too.

@@lopolik Wicked Lester was the band Gene and Paul made before KISS, they never officially released the album but some KISS songs are on there like Love Her All I Can, She, and they claimed bits and pieces ended up in later KISS songs. The songs sound more like Beatles+the Motown influences they had but definitely worth a listen!

Its so crazy bc of the theatrical attire you kinda forget the insane musical things happening also we naturally accept that 80s bands sing high notes but these are like trained female opra talent and we just take it with a grain of salt like oh yea 80s, but these singers could sing for real.

I listened to Gene play Bass and then I listen to John Paul Jones play Bass. I don’t recommend you do this. Gene is just average compared to the Zeppelin legend.
