Even at the age of 19, I still can’t help but smile while listening to this masterpiece. Thomas & Friends was one of my favorite shows growing up, and it’ll always be in a special place in my heart.
I'm 30 and still listening to these! 😂
Mate I'm 39! And thomas is the best! Series 1&2 anyway with Ringo
@InstrumentManiac Even at the age of 17, I have always been the biggest fan of Thomas the Tank Engine ever since I was 2. This will always be my favorite show. From childhood to adulthood. This show was magical, nostalgic, and special. The engines felt real, making this seem like a real place. I wanted to visit Sodor so badly! 😢 Sodor might not be real in the real world, but it will always be real in my heart!
@Robster-Vision And Season 3 and 4 with George Carlin. Season 5 with Alec and Michael as well.
@@InstrumentManiac Luke, please tell me James is your favorite character!! 😍 🙏 LOL 😆. I know he will always be my favorite engine!
I'm not gonna lie; James has the best smile of any engine!
He also has the scariest angry face
@@shankleshankle7077 His mad face does look intimidating, but so are Gordon & Toby's angry faces.
@@BoygeyMario yeah Gordon's was scary too. But I really believed that when James angry, he could possibly kill someone.
@@shankleshankle7077 Believe me when I say Toby's angry face is also very murderous looking.
@@BoygeyMario I never saw Tobys angry face. I only like the first 2 seasons. After that, it lost its way. Maybe I did see it subliminally. I'm going to look at it now and I'll get bk to you.
He's a really splendid engine.
Everybody knows.
But he does go on and on and on
Always telling us so!
He's a really splendid engine
He really is quite vain.
Who do we mean?
You got it.
JAMES!!
Nice poem make more and i will like your comment
It's the lyrics from the James song
@@nicoferguson1215YA BET!!!
He's the five, he's the number five, James the red engine
"Shall I help you, James?" Called Edward "no, thank you. I’ll pull them myself." "Good, don’t let them beat you. You’re doing well!" Whistled Edward, as James slowly struggled up the hill. "I can do it, I can do it" he puffed. He pulled and puffed as hard as he could. "I’ve done it, I’ve done it" he panted.🙂🔴🚂
SHORTLY AFTERWARDS WHEN HE TACKLED GORDON'S HILL, JAMES THE BRIGHT SHINY RED PAINTED #5 MIXED-TRAFFIC L & YR CLASS 27/28 MOGUL (2-6-O) TYPE OF STEAM-DRIVEN RAILWAY TENDER LOCOMOTIVE WAS BASICALLY HAVING A REST IN THE YARD @ MARON STATION AFTER CONTINUOUSLY DEALING TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME ON THE WAY WITH THE TROUBLESOME TRUCKS OF HIS OWN OFFICIAL GOODS TRAIN WHEN EDWARD THE BLUE ENGINE HAPPILY ARRIVED WITH SIR TOPHAM HATT A K A THE FAT CONTROLLER HIMSELF ONBOARD!!!
The way the theme leaps into action at 2:15 is tremendous, but you recognize that the moment is earned by the more relaxed pace of the preceding section. Another example of where you've made the original theme even grander!
Great analysis Nicholas! I thought the slower mood shift would give the end a nice emphasis and make it seem a lot more dramatic than it probably actually was 😂 Thanks for watching!
Narrator: "He realized that he had no driver."
James: "What shall I do? I can't stop! Help! Help!"
Here's James.
I love that character.
Heeeeeeereeees James!
JAMES THE RED ENGINE: (WHISTLES)
HEEEEERE'S JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!
James is such a great character.
While not being my favorite:
=1st 5 seasons he had pretty great voices from R.S, G.C, M.A, and A.B
= Season 3 and 2 includes some of my favorite episodes with James
= An amazing theme (which you have already covered amazingly, and for a second time!)
= Is red
Can't wait for the season 5 esqe cover!
-I just love these season 5 renditions of previous themes, season 5 was packed with great music
here's the thing, I don't know if Henry actually has a season 5-7 theme, unlike all the others
James is my characters from Thomas series
i agree
@@mayoroicjre Henry quite famously has his danger theme in season five. In the original Mike and Junior scored season seven, Henry’s theme is very much in line with his season three and four theme.
@@obimoore6967SAME HERE!!!!!
Normally I would say “Thank you Luke, that was awesome.” But today, I’m going to say, Bravo Luke, bravo.
Wow, thank YOU Saif for always being so kind
@@InstrumentManiac Any new instruments you’ve acquired?
@@InstrumentManiac you should do the railway series theme
@bilal gaming hah? What?
@bilal gaming what
I love how the playlist is in color orser so you get a nice gradient as you scroll down
Haha the only way I can keep them organized at this point!
Can't think of anything that can top James' S1 themes. Your cover is just as incredible
Thanks Tyke!
Doesn't he keep his theme through out the show just remixed and later added lyrics?
“Somebody has to be the favorite.
Somebody has to be me...”
-James (JBS)
Anyways, it sound so accurate as always. Really hoping for Spencer’s theme soon!!!
Working on the arrangement now!
James will ALWAYS be my FAVORITE CHARACTER ❤!
YES. I can't wait for this one!
I love the slow paced first then the peppy energy at the end 🙌
you just made me love james' theme
Truly splendid take on James' triumphant theme. It really has that jazzy motivation vibes with that sense of achievement that really captures that moment when James manages to pull those troublesome trucks up Gordon's Hill. Those pesky trucks... congratulations on your new album, kudos to you and your fellow collaborators for capturing the personalities of our beloved characters. =)
Thanks for the kind note Alpha!
"Red as a rocket and twice as fast!" (Even though this version of the song is slower than the jazzy version.)
Stephenson's Rocket: "Okay, first of all, I'm not red. Second of all...BULLSH*T!!!"
I got that from a funny comic. 😁
Well it’s certain we really should note it’s indisputable but let’s take a vote, he’s a really splendid engine with the bright red coat!
This is an absolute masterpiece! James has and still is my favorite Thomas and Friends character, so listening to this always makes me smile. So, thank you Luke for the amazing James theme!!
MM-HMM!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've especially wanted to mention that I personally noticed that they certainly did actually use footage from the show's 2ndd season as well like scenes from Old Iron!
This sounds like classical music it’s so good
James is my favourite engine ...and this theme just describes James character
YES I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
James’ theme being my favorite since I grew up with the best to James vhs tape, always came off as a real 1940’s jazzy sounding theme, I think the opening piano, and the slaying of the clarinet beat describes that.
James, the red mixed traffic engine. He can do coaches and freight cars well, though he can be overconfident in himself from time to time. However he continues to defy odds when put to the challenge. He is a really splendid engine
James is my favourite engine from Thomas
YES! I was listening to this on spotify! Such a BOP! When that new part came I was like, ooooooooh our boy is mozart here, and we love it.
This album is absolutely a beast, such an amazing piece of work, if I had to pay $10000 to listen to it, I would!
Ahhh thank you Tiernan!! Glad the Mozart came through. That is very kind of you :)
You know there’s so many ways James’s entire character just inspires stuff such as character arcs for fan series’s face drawings regular drawings 3D modeling music recreations such as this and many others there’s just so many ways this red and vain guy inspires so many people to persue what they want to do and that’s what I love about him
So the old iron caught you..... Luke this a awesome piece of music... So much a positive groove... The concerto fits James!!!For the splendid red engine #5 of the NWR.. James.
Definitely one of my favorites.
This is gonna be good!. It's been a long time since we seen Sand blocks on your hands, Luke!!!
The blocks are BACK 👀
I heard this on someone else's channel and instantly knew it was your version. The amount of content creators that use your music is a testament to how good you are.
Ahh that's great to hear - thanks Davo!
Somebody has to be the favorite.
Amazing job! My favorite was the Soprano Sax as the Melody.
One of the only things I could remember about the show before I rewatched last year, James chugging along pulling those trucks with this playing in the background
I've only just realised... we don't have the theme of the Big Man himself... all this time and finally I'm gonna say we need Sir Toppham's theme(s)!
“He’s a really splendid engine with a bright red coat”
Standing ovation. Absolutely stunning, as usual.
Thanks Tanner!
hehehe hey bestieeee
@@fuckawff Lmao!!! Hey gurl.
This is such a beautiful song! Thank you!!
Themes of sodor vol. 4 was awesome when i listened to it
I think I'm actually gonna be on time for this one!
This is the life!chuckled James
I've especially wanted to personally mention that this version of James the Red Engine's triumphant theme CERTAINLY IS REMARKABLY wonderful,. and especially when I personally saw a Wooden Railway version of James the Red Engine on the section with the castanets! They've especially managed to use footage of various scenes from various episodes from the show's very own complete 1st season; which certainly would include Troublesome Trucks retitled Foolish Freight Cars!
That’s our James!
Brilliant! This is a great theme from the series! Looking forward to hearing your version as always - they're such a delight😊
Thanks KM hope you enjoy it!
I’m excited for this theme, as James’ theme is one of my favorites
He even has a splendid theme song
One of my Favourite themes, I love how it brings in the sax likes the TUGS intro while being so chill!
"What a lark! What a lark!"
Some absolutely beautiful countermelodies with the flute and a wonderfully calm "side step" to take the tune from at 1.53 minute mark onwards. As I mentioned in the other comments, very "Royal" sounding. Phenomenal job, Luke!
Thank you bean! I wasn't sure how people would take the softer cadenza section but I'm glad you felt like it worked ok :) Thanks for watching!
Y love Jameses theme it sounds amazing go luke you have beautiful melody
This sounds sooooo right. Spot on for the how the theme sounded in the early seasons. And then that last bit! wow
I wonder what volume of Themes of Sodor that Henry’s theme will be on
Omg I totally thought it was like a Mozart concerto as well. Nice playing!
Glad to hear it came through!
A really splendid composition.
To be honest this is better than I thought
i love the flute and the clarinet being the spice an energy to this theme
I got chills listening to this
The highest praise, thank you!
YOU HAVE A CLASSIC WOODEN RAILWAY JAMES!
I’m looking forward to this!!
Hope you enjoy it!
I enjoyed it very much my fav character and fav colour 🤩🤩
Its takes years and years to master the sand blocks. Only the best of the best can master it.
A lifetime working towards mastery of such a sacred art.
Make way for James Hooray for James
Dis is gonna be amazing
well done on a fab job with James's theme from the show its cool how you use the violins and the other instruments and will be looking forward to see and hear the next theme
Trainboy would love this i think
Gordon:this is nice but it wont beat my theme james
James:oh yea >:(
"At first the freight cars behaved well, but James bumped them so crossly they were determined to get back at him"
James, my forever favourite 🥲❤️
Amazing work on the soprano sax!
this is great stuff just watched some of the other Thomas and friends music pieces that you made and they are great just like this one! Also I think everyones noticed this by now but the wooden James in the top left is a nice touch definitely makes it clear on how splendid James is!
Nostalgia straight tears went
Absolutely Amazing!
Time to binge on some Swoopy Doopy Stuff! Another great composition Luke ☺️
😂😂 swoopy!
Your music is like a we are going back in time and remembering the engines and adwy
Superb! Really lush and grand. You did James proud.
Thank you Callum!
Looks like it’s gonna be amazing
This is one of the very first themes I remember hearing back when I was 2. I love how atmospheric this sounds. 😃
Idk how late I am but thus is bloody FANTASTIC especially the last part jeez you are amazing at retreating the engines themes well done 👏 ✔️ 🙌
Man, that was an awesome take on this theme! Your jazzy James cover was already great, but this one is even better. I especially like the interlude in the middle, and then the extra energetic last part, definitely very classical. Bravo!
Wow thanks Douglas that's very kind of you!
Great job! One of your best, in my opinion, because I can't stop listening to it.
Thanks for listening Richard!
Why is your wooden railway James in so much better condition than mine?
It's sat in storage for 20 years 😂
Sorry, I'm going to miss the stream but best wishes to you Luke and the Bandwagon!
This was so well done, great job Luke!
Thanks Big G!
I always love your more faithful recreations with the full instrumentation, and you play the instruments so well its simply wonderful
THE SAND BLOCKS ARE THERE TO SOUND LIKE A WORKING STEAM LOCO
My favourite theme from whole series
Love how your rocking out playing the sand blocks. Awesome content. Thanks for bringing my childhood back
Glad you enjoy it!
Wow, you completely read my mind about the piece sounding classical, just had those vibes until you mentioned it in your outro. Outstanding work again man!
Glad to hear it translated in the arrangement :)
Great Theme
Amazing as always! :-D
Beautiful, just beautiful!! Bravo!! 🙌 😃👍🎻
Thank you very much!
So good, this is one of my favorite themes, maybe because it's so happy, happy, joy, joy? The interpretation with Mozart goes well how you weaved that into the theme! Great job Luke!
Glad you enjoy it thanks for listening Shawn!
That was amazing!
I listened to this on Sodor Volume 4 beforehand, but I came to watch because it's always a joy to see you having so much fun while performing! Wonderful job as always
Thank you!!
The biggest smile I had watching this, thanks for the nostalgia.
Glad to hear!
Literally, so relaxing to listen to. Top notch as always!
Glad to hear, thank you!
Y'know Luke, I haven't commented on your videos in a while, and I haven't given you the credit you deserve for bringing us so many delights.
For James Orchestral/Triumphant theme, I absolutely love the build up, and for the sub section of the piece where it transitions to a whole other style is amazing as well. I think have have the Soprano be the only main lead with the other instruments as harmony was a good choice. But I MUST give credit to the last verse of this, IT'S INCREDIBLE LUKE! When I first heard this, I was just listenning quietly and peacefully, but you dropped the beat and it made me love this piece. Thank you Luke, for the music and work you put into your pieces, and allowing use to use them is a godsend.
Wow thank you lego! This is so nice of you I really appreciate it 😊
Edward and James passed the field where James had had his accident. The fence was mended and the cows 🐄 were back again
This was a splendid (extended) take on James' Triumphant Theme. Bravo! 👏 👏
Thanks for listening!
@@InstrumentManiac Your welcome you know in a lot of episodes James had many fun character dynamic's in the series, but his character felt stuck, since he didn't really have much of a character growth journey.
This is going to be amazing and I love you Luke keep up the good work 🤜🤛
Thanks Eddie!
