A must have for EMTs and Paramedics on the road
Not really. Used a standard stethoscope for years without any problems
And the Navy used tall sailing ships, the Army used sabres, horses, and muskets, and our forefathers communicated via the Pony Express and telegraph versus cellular or satellite communication.
What is your point - that progress should be eschewed for, “Just because it was done ______ way, it always should be!”?
@@Soontobeusbp (1) paramedics don't make enough to buy one (2) even if you hear a murmur it isn't going to change your treatment as a paramedic....
I disagree with the other statements. I believe that in the back of an ambulance this would make it easier. You have patients who are easy to hear and others who are more difficult. Background noise is always a problem weather it's people, truck noise, or something else.

The indicator light got me sold. I’m picking up two of these👍🏻
Really? It was a psychiatrist selling a stethoscope for me…

Have you noticed the mic/ noise cancellation device unscrewing loosely that requires adjusting each few times ?
Do the placement settings have the option to switch it from humans to animals. My hearing is not the best, going for Vet Tech and these caught my attention.
No settings for that.
No, unfortunately, there isn’t a setting specifically for that. You should contact Eko, I’m sure they would be interested in another potential market they maybe hadn’t considered. Worth bringing it up to them.
Best review ever!!
Laennec's Legacy ! 💯🥰👌
You mentioned not normally using the Eko app. Are you able to save recordings directly to your phone?
Yes. You can capture 15 second clips into your phone through the app. Hope that helps
Have you tried the Eko duo? I'm in between the two and need help!
im a pulmonologist and currently trying to search for the best electronic stet to auscultate breath sounds on covid patients. do you recommend this stet for listening to breath sounds?
I find it to definitely augment sounds very well to discern subtleties. I notice a difference in the newer version, vs the original Eko that I had from a couple years ago. I think the addition of the noise isolation helps with the newer model. Keep in mind, I’m a psychiatrist, but I work in clinical trials and do physical exams all the time. I don’t have a reference to compare to as this is my first enhanced digital stethoscope, I can only compare it to my typical Littman stethoscopes I’ve used all my career
What case fits the stethoscope
Tooooo cute!!!!!!
Why on God’s green earth is a psych doctor reviewing a high tech stethoscope that he will never have a real need for.
I work as a principal investigator and perform physical exams, read ECGs, order labs…. Daily…. Hmmm like a real doctor. Thanks keyboard warrior.
@@AndrewKimMD Apologies. I’m simply an emergency NP student finishing his internship in addition to being a long term ER nurse. I was looking for an honest review. No offense, but psych Docs aren’t my go to for cardiac info.
@@truenorcal I gave an honest review of a piece of equipment I’ve used for years. No offense, but ER docs and NPs aren’t my go to for cardiac info as well. The go to’s are typically called Cardiologists.
