That’s pretty clever. At first I thought your control would make it just go forward and back. But I like how it spins to any direction.

He kind of has the shape of Rover from Wonder Woman. You could make a tread style Rover out of it. I probably shouldn't have said that because then I'll want one! 😂😅

Thanks for the mention. I have some blue TT motors coming from China. The speed seems very good for control-ability, even in a small space and driving it with a whistle. I don't like when they move so fast they are hard to control. Nice to know the tracks came out okay. I love the speed and quality of the A1 Mini. Is that an LM567 tone decoder on that board? I searched for that board but haven't been able to find it.
    Thanks,
    Rick

Here is a link to the Tone control board.

Yes it is the old LM567, but the board costs less than the parts would. You get a MIC, a opamp preamp and the LM567. I did lay the multi turn trim pot on its side to make the profile of the board shorter.

@@Robothut Thanks. I've never used Electrodragon. I found a couple of things that interest me.

@@rick_100 One thing about the tone decoder unit. since they have a wide power supply range the pull up resistor for the MIC is not optimized for 5 volts, so the gain will be low on the MIC unless you change the resistor to around 1K. I just bridged the surface mount resistor with a 1K . I found pictures on the web site for the schematic and parts layout of the decoder board.
