My child didn't want to get out of her pj's for school. My mother said I should "let her stay home this one time", I knew my child if I gave in this one time it would be a habit. I loaded her in the car pj's and all and sent her to school. I called the teacher and stated she didn't want to get dressed so she is still in her pj's, but going to school is non negotiable. I never had an issue of her getting dressed for school ever again.

I remember when my oldest son tried that I'm not getting dressed and going to school routine with me and he regretted it fully. I got his little brother ready and when everyone was dressed, I took them to school. One thing though, I wore everything Spongebob (pj bottoms, top and slippers), then proceeded to take him to his 2nd grade classroom. He was so embarrassed, but he never pulled that stunt again.

Preschool teachers should also not be required to change diapers! Even if these teachers are parents themselves and did the same things (potty training, diaper changing) for their own kids or even other people’s kids whom they babysat, that’s utterly uncalled for to be required to do that type of thing on the job! Occasionally, potty trained schoolchildren in preschool-1st Grade have accidents during the school day if they can’t hold it at all until they reach the bathroom. But that’s a relative rarity. Parents requiring other people to toilet train their kids is abhorrent! No individual can potty train a whole class of students all at once! Parents themselves only have to toilet train one child at a time, unless they have twins or their offspring are very close in age. So how they expect a teacher to do that for dozens of kids is not living in reality in the slightest!

It's great when the school is onboard with the way your parenting! Love it when they're getting a consistent message. BUT THAT BOOK DOES NOT EXPECT THE TEACHER TO DRESS THE CHILD! Contrary to idiot assumption. The book expects the other kids to act like kids and peer pressure will make them go get dressed. The parent is being loving and supportive by providing the means to fix the mistake, when the child realizes it.

There needs to be an evaluator every 6 months to observe how parents parent their kids. Just like with teachers

For the trampoline request. If the parents wanna donate it with their OWN money, then fine! Go head 🤷🏽‍♀️👍🏽

My mother didn't like to get up with me in thevmorning for school. She delegated nreakfast to my older sisters....no breakfast for me, and shed lay out my clothes the night before, in grade one i was Mortified to get to school and find out yhst under my pretty dress i still had on pj bottoms ( but no panties). I told my teacher who assured me no one could tell, and not to worry. So i cant imagine kids going in full pjs.

Any parent out there who believes that childless teachers are second-class citizens is JD Vance’s twin. And Vance was recently caught on camera verbally bashing his own son for wanting to tell him about Pikachu, while Vance was more interested in having a phone conversation with Donald Trump!
That’s modern day parenting in a nutshell! Detached, uncaring, narcissistic legal adults who prioritize their own jobs, needs, and wants over those of their own children ‘round the clock unapologetically!

A parent getting a job offer is more important that a kid's story about a fictional character. But only in reality.
