Coolest thing I've seen on VICE in weeks
I don't think I make enough money to go to a club like these. Looks so fun. Maybe I will put it on my bucket list.
Vice, thanks for listening to your audience and uploading everything at once (I don't care about the parts, i know its more views=more money)
Another amazing video from Vice.
WE LOVE IT VICE! KEEP THEM COMING :D
I don'tcomment often but I am feeling the urge to support vice against the ungrounded hate this vid gets. Being a scenographer myself I really enjoyed these series. Thanks, Vice!
Very interesting, especially the thought process in this.
This style of video reminds me of "PBS off book". Which is an awesome channel and highly recommended.
very interesting, thanks Vice!
Very interesting and thoroughly entertaining.
Loving vice lately!
Wow look at how creative, cool, and hip this is! And remember, it was all made possible by Heineken.
How fun. Thanks Vice.
I don't get it, why are people thumbs downing this? Very interesting!
"...people like you, who also hated the spring break videos..." Yeah, he was.
Hello, it's the year 2019 calling the year 2013, this is as good as Vice ever got😒
great score.
great vid
It really reflects the viewer. They expect an external stimuli to make their lazy lives more palatable.
Harmony Korine makes art. Please respect.
This is awesome
went from talking about club space to dressing up like Marie Antoinette....
Please take the time to learn how vice started. You would then know that they have never changed.
In the 90s there were underground gothic techo raves in broken down industrial warehouses all over L. A. Those party's were the shit, yet all it was some badass Djs, smoke and a few lights.
I always wonder, where do these people get their money from? How do they get involved into their jobs? I mean the usual story with art students here (Germany) is: you study, be poor, end your studies, stay poor. Nothing fancy, no jobs. All you can do is studying some business, engineering stuff and get bored big time.
Not that im trying to like hate on you or something, but Spring Breakers is actually very much an art piece just like this, with a good non mainstream director, but also happens to have a disney star or two in it because they are hot and its shocking.
this is very interesting imo
skip to part 6 to actually see what the club looks like,, then decide if you want to listen to the designer congratulate themselves over the final product.
vice was always mainstream, but not in a bad way
oh no, they do a big piece on nightlife design, and get one of the worlds biggest beer brands to pay the bills, bu freaking hu.
This was pretty damn interesting.
Hey, I generally dislike fun, but I didn't hate on Spring Break or this, because I just watch it since it seems somehow interesting, it is still good Vice material.
Whats that song in the beginning?
This is actually pretty cool, why the hate?
oh god its like im back in art school again
people want to voice their opinions, just because you feel very strongly about spring break and nightclub design isnt going to affect people
The legendary Don Rubix approves
this is better served up on Bravo haha
begining backround music is good up till 2:03 is good whats it called?
I didn't watch it. I am just saying Vice has dropped the ball and this one is no exception.
This video is actually extremely interesting....why all the hate. without art where would be be!?
The story of Steve and Doug Butabi
cutest smile ever! 6:09
PARTY PARTY PARTY TILL I DIE
how about a club that looks like the outside on the inside, and the outside looks like the inside
I fell asleep...and I was skipped 5 minutes at a time
this has to do with fun? I almost fell asleep.
I would like to cross fertilise some of that talent
Vice should have split channels for this shit
pyrof7 was not talking about the Spring Breakers.
Does anyone know the song from the credits??? '^'
wow, I really don't get all the complaining about this, I actually really enjoyed it, it was interesting and I'm sure most of you didn't even watched it before shitting on it
Oh my god! Any guitar players out there spot David Byrne's outrageously large, all-boss, peddle board at like 7:50?
wheres the "I kinda like this" button???
Damn those bear advertisers!
What's with all the hate, I think this is pretty interesting. Cool to get some insight on how they make this stuff happen
What's the name of the song in the end???
great.
Funny how David Byrne is in this documentary.
nothing against these videos, but it's because some people actually cant be bothered hearing about kids getting drunk, and how crazy spring break is. and i wouldn't classify watching videos about spring break fun, in fact it's quite the opposite.
go to the website and read
I completely understand why some people find this interesting. I, however, do not. This is not the vice I subscribed to.
I'd rather not have my subscription page spammed with skaters, spring breakers and "discotecture".
song id ?
Does anyone know the name of the song/artist at 02:24? Thanks. :)
idear?
too hungover to get into this!
Bear ad? I didn't see any bears...
How?
wow - a puff piece about a bloated corporate kiosk filled with self-important, contrived design and vacuous hipster concept. much more of this stuff, guys!
This is super serious. Its slightly funny at times.
he does have a justifiable point though since they make money off their stories since they are press they still make money and there isnt a reason for ads even though personally i have no problem with ads
Well said bro! Tired of people like that.. well i think we all are
Hahaha, that'd be awesome. Better yet, hospitals with a dash of rave would be quite nice.
No because a large amount of people didn't like it and a large amount of people haven't liked there other recent stuff as well. I am just saying that if a group of people who usually like the stuff they put out all of a sudden stops liking the new content then its safe to say that for the most part they have dropped the ball.
No one forced you to watch the videos, you don't like a video, leave the page or just don't click it, or if you are unsure if you like it or not, watch the video. But don't put a fucking annoying comment like "omg vice is terrible for allowing this trash". It's not needed.
frivolous as fuck, slightly interesting
what is vice?
The name of the channel is called "Vice". They are going to upload these kinds of videos. People are so stupid they don't even know what they subscribe to.
What do you mean?
I don't think they're the same people at all. Spring Breakers just sex being sold by Disney stars like they always do. Big whoop. People hating this, I think they're bitter hipsters "I liked vice before it was mainstream duuuur."
Because i watched the first 4 or 5 minutes and couldn't continue. Also i am not on a bandwagon its just a lot of Vice's most recent stuff has been kind of lacking and it shows in the comments and dislikes. And i like that Vice has alot of variety thats one thing that sets it apart from other things its just when you have stupid videos like ATL twins, Spring Breakers, Debbie Harry, and this it shows that they need to start showing other things. Also i like your avatar haha.
sping breakers is done by harmony korine who is all about the art so i dont agree with your statement, look up his other works, maybe the "disney stars" are doing a film with him to move away from people viewing them as disney stars
This documentary is TERRIBLE....
The "experimental designer" basically rehashed every major "theme" of nightclub lore and pretended it was some new amazing idea....
He's also that guy that always has a stupid idea...he think's he's quirky, creative and the good "weird"...he's just the annoying weird though.
Don't bother watching the rest. You're welcome.
people just think the topics are boring
I agree, but also I think they strayed from going into dangerous places like Afghanistan or North Korea and doing current events,
Don't hate, this has nothing from Spring shitty Breakers.
I don't get it, this seems fine to me, one does not really think about all this part of the scene when going to a club.
find this really interesting but the enchanted forest is bit far lol
Idears
This is the shit. Them visuals.
There ya go man, I subscribed for VICE's pieces on the middle east, their videos about people living in sewers, the drug problem in Russia. Not to listen to some stupid liberal arts majors talk about their "feelings" and "vibes". Show me something I haven't even heard about, that most news places wouldn't cover that is important
Sorry theyre not uploading all the bloody mass killings and war videos.
The female graphic designer Sandra Garcia.. what the hell was she talking about? I got nothing from her introductory segment.
what's funny is that you're actually complaining about people posting their opinions on videos they themselves have actually watched, whilst you comment merely in response to them, not having even watched the video. the ridiculousness of this backward logic is really quite something
I see sharp class divisions in the vice audience. Poor people can't or don't go to nightclubs, mostly. Nor do they vacation in Florida during the spring. That might have something to do with it. I'm not a big fan of this video because I've seen plenty of stuff like it before in other magazines and on TV. Also, I'm poor and have never been to a nightclub, unless you count stripclubs which both suck for the same reasons: cost, greed, shallowness, ect. Social inequality runs deep in our culture.
lol
Just because you don't like it right?
i couldn't fucking agree more! This piece/video should really be under the headline of arts/fashion.. for it's all really just what a bunch of pretentious snobs want the world to be like.
seriously what happened to the important documentaries or at least the ones that were interesting... i am sick of this kind of shit and who can forget the fucking ATL twins god what a load of shit. I hope this is just a rough patch for VICE because i genuinely love alot of the stuff they put out.
DON'T WATCH IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. Why can't people understand this?
lol this is too much
