I used a 12×12 double sided cardstock to make thus. While making it, I had an aha moment. On each verticle fold on the sides of the large center pocket, I added a signature of 4 pages on each crease. So now I have 32 pages to journal in along with the three pockets. I followed your directions. Thankyou!
Hi Cathy. This is a cool project and I LOVE it! Yours came out beautiful (love the papers you chose) and there's so much more that can be done to further enhance it, especially when it comes to decorating it (I'm gonna bling mines out!), so I can't wait to tackle it. Thank you for setting the tone with this 1-paper technique. It was so much fun to watch. 👍
I recently found your channel. You are such a joy to listen to. Clear instructions without a lot of wasted chatter. Every one I watch goes in my saved file!!!
It was so simple to make . Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I love it . Can use it for so many things . Little love notes to a special someone, photos, I'm thinking of you note . Great!!! Love this
Cathy again you’ve given us a super easy yet impressive addition to our journals. I appreciate your very thorough instructions to your project. Thanks so much and blessings from Betty in Ohio.
I love this one page idea!!! I love pockets for goodies! It would be helpful if next time you could give the dimensions of the paper you are working with both in inches and centimeters for both parts of the World. Thanks Dawn
Dawn, I understand why this would be good. However my measuring is not good in inches I just approximate so asking me to measure in something I know nothing about would be a nightmare! 🤦♀️💐🥰
Just watched this again. It is so wonderfully put together and so adorable. I am going to sit down and try this right now! Your actions are so nice and easily explained that I can do this! Hahaha
Love this project and have to say I am so impressed by your attention to detail! Love how you stamped inside and made the additional circle to cover the bead.
It’s so beautiful! And I finally decided to make a junk journal but I’m putting sayings so this will help to put my little sayings inside! Thank you for sharing.😍
I Love It! I wish I could come up with the ideas that you do. I am getting better with decorating my pages, but still struggle with ideas. So glad that you and others like you have lots of videos to watch. :)
Very cute project! Loved how it turned out. It would be great if you could give some approximate measurement when you say “a little bit” like saying about an inch etc. or just saying it doesn’t matter if that’s true…I only suggest this because I thought that one overlap was quite a bit when you said a little bit. Thank you! And Thank you for the cute ideas!!💕
Cathy... By any chance do you remember which paper pack that print came from? I've looked at chapter one papers but there's so many to choose from. LOVED your project and tutorial!!!❤️
What size paper did you use? I find this tutorial difficult to follow since you don't use measurements. Saying " over lap a little bit" is unclear, confusing.
Not at all. It is so refreshing that she is not measuring every single inch!!! Those measurements are annoying and overwhelming. Doing it by eye is better because we have different pieces of paper
Love this little pocket journal…would be so easy to make it different sizes. I am going to try and make it without cutting the bottom two corners out…just. Cut the two inside slits, would cut down on gluing and make it more secure. Really liked how you stamped the inside of the pockets, really finishes it off! Thank you for showing it all decorated, we all love some doo dah’s!!!
That's what I did, cut slits plus a bit to give it more ease. Folded up all three parts of the bottom and made them into pockets by only glueing the sides. Love this little pocket folder. It turned out so nice. Thanks to Cathy for this lovely project and inspiration. Greetings from the Southern Alps of Austria.
This is really cute and great for a junk journal page. If you don't cut the bottom outside corners but just the inner folds then you can turn up the corners just like the middle one. So just cut the top two corners off. I hope this makes sense.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! It’s so quick but looks so special! I learned a tip with those circle closures that I think is so good: I saw another artist (I wish I could remember her name!) who took a scrap piece of heavy card stock & cut a little slit in it. Then she sandwiches that between her project & her circle when she attaches the brad so when she slides it out the brad has a little smidgen of extra space to accommodate the knot in the thread! Hope this tip brightens someone’s day!
Oh wow thank you so much for sharing , you speak so clear and slow enough that i can understand you... im making this today using 12 x 12 sheet .... perfect thank you 😊
Oh Cathy! I am on your case!!! I am into journaling for almost a year now and did find you only a couple of months ago. But, geez, I love what you are doing. You are such an inspiration. I have a lot of catching-up to do and I find your work AMAZING! TFS !!! Greetings from Laval, Québec, Canada!
YOU are just the most fabulous instructor. I appreciate how you tell WHY you do something. You are very creative. I make a model along with you. I always look forward too your videos.
Such a sweet little project. I want to make some of these to give with gifts. Lovely. I like how you teach. Just the right amount of talking and you have a nice gentle voice. I’ll be watching for ideas! ❤
Good Morning Cathy, I know a perfectionist when I see one, and I do believe you fit the mold! Now, please know that I mean that in the most sincere form of flattery as I do have similar proclivities😉 I have a sneaky suspicion that your craft room is organized to perfection, which again, I mean that as a complement as well! Maybe one day you could give us a tour. These pockets turned out lovely, I really like the size and I have a sneaky feeling one could change the size as needed. Thank you again for a lovely how to video, as I mentioned before you are one of my favorite channels to learn all things junk journaling😊 Blessings and do have a delightful week-end, Marylou💗
Oh Cathy I was doing this with you and got nearly to the end of making it. My computer had a hissy fit and I didn't know who was showing the one page pocket idea. But this morning you are here. Thank you Loved following your ideas. Cheers.

I love your energy this is super cute and very easy to follow love you used those paperclips to hold the glue in place.and the "clean". construction.
A lovely idea, i can see I might make these as a birthday card with a greeting tucked in with the ephemera

Can you share a picture, please?
Thanks for the idea. Did you need to make vertical folds wider to accommodate the signatures??

Love your videos. On the one sheet fold out, what do you use for the round that has twine in it. Layered paper rounds?
I think you mean the circle. It came from card stock that I punched out with a circle punch. 💐🥰
Yes, the circle closure piece. Thank you Cathy. Love your videos. You are a joy to listen to. @@CathysGardenllc
Cathy... By any chance do you remember which paper pack that print came from? I've looked at chapter one papers but there's so many to choose from. LOVED your project and tutorial!!!❤️
Kellie, I was printing some papers tonight and I came across that print you were asking about it is there French drawing room collection. 💐🥰
What paper did you use for printing the base? Weight and finish? Thank you
Candy, The paper was a light weight card stock. The print came from Chapter One Papers on Etsy 🥰💐
@@CathysGardenllc thank you
LOVELY, what size paper did you use? TY, Mercy🥀
PS. SUPER CUTE!!!
Since she printed the pattern onto the paper, I'm guessing it's 8.5"x11" (letter size). Hope you don't mind me answering. Have a lovely day.
Cathy do you recall the size of paper that you used ?
Sorry no I don’t 🤦♀️🥰💐
Sorry Cathy...wrong name😮
….not sure…💐🥰

You should have left the two small pieces intact. Cut the fold up.
💐🥰
Could not follow this for the life of me. Mine was lumpy bumpy and uneven.

I was wondering the same Why cut off the paper on the outside pockets to glue them back later...?
