Viewer Request Week: #4 Trying to Find a Dupe for Enjoy Dry Wax
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 23 июл 2024
- After viewers see my hair tutorials, I receive LOTS of questions about possible "dupes" for the Enjoy Dry Wax, and especially if there are any drugstore dupes. Well, over the last couple of months I've been scouring my stores and the internet to find a dupe.....see what products I've tested and how they compare to the Enjoy Dry Wax in this video. Thanks for watching!💕

LOVE it! Thanks so very much for doing this video. So special ... it's a keeper. Will look forward to your next tutorial; whether it's hair or makeup. Love all of yours.
Awww, you are welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed this and continue to look forward to my videos....thank you for faithfully watching!💖
I used the Sexy control Maniac back when I wore my her spiked up in the back like you do sometimes. I found it worked but if I used too much it didn’t hold. I love the Enjoy Dry Wax and it is so pliable and your hair stays put. Thanks for sharing it! I’ve used it for months! 😊❤️
Oh I'm so glad to hear the Enjoy has worked so well for you too!! It is such an amazing product....to be able to stay pliable and yet provide that amazing hold. So happy I could introduce you to your new favorite hair product!🥰
The products may be very helpful but your hair is so perfect and you really know how to style it so no matter what you use it’s always going to look flawless. If I could have anyone’s hair in this world it’s yours I want. Color and cut are perfection
Awww, that's an amazing compliment! Thank you SO much, sweet lady🥰
Love these videos!! I just got some Enjoy Dry Wax and I can’t believe it took me so long to get it. I love it!!!
YAY!! Love knowing that!😘
Sharalee..you are RIGHT! My hair is super short now and no color..went gray! I had strayed from enjoy dry wax for a while and styled with it this morning. What a difference! I had been using crew pomade but it can get greasy and the enjoy did NOT! I am back to stay..it's easy to work with and stays pliable for a while too. Much better!!
Hooray!! I'm so glad you too see the difference in the Enjoy Dry Wax! Sometimes, I don't realize how much I love a product or how well it works until I use something else....glad you've come back "to the light"😂💕
Another great review! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of all the products!
You and your hubby have a blessed day and weekend my sweet California friend 🌴🌸💕🌴
I'm so glad you found this informative! Hope you have a very blessed weekend too! Stay safe!🙏❤️
🌴🌸💕🌴Thank you😊🌴🌸💕🌴
Since you introduced me to Enjoy Dry Wax, that's all I buy, it just truly works great.♥️
I'm SO happy you've become such a big fan! It's still my #1!😍
I have tried the enjoy dry wax but it makes my hair feel greasy. I have very oily skin. So, I tried the enjoy clay. It works the same way but not as greasy feeling as the dry wax. I love it!!
Oh that's great to know!! I've never tried the clay but will have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!😘
Oh I love enjoy dry wax and didn’t know about it until I saw your video 🥰. I get it from Amazon and I’m never without it 🥰👍🏼
Yay!! So glad I could introduce you to your new favorite hair product!!💖
I have a pixie cut and because of your videos I got my hands on the Enjoy Dry Wax and I LOVE IT. Yesterday I got my hair cut in a super short pixie on the sides and a lot of texture on top and the dry wax makes the top all textured and edgy. Just the way I like it. BTW The Enjoy Dry Wax smells so good too. Love your videos.
Oh hooray!!! I'm so glad you love the Enjoy Wax too! Sounds like your new cut is amazing!! I have a hair appointment on Tuesday and it just can't come soon enough!🥰
Saw the title of this video and knew that I would be watching it when I was able. I love the Catwalk rootboost, which I learned about from you.My hair isn't quite short enough for using wax products, but will be cutting a bit shorter in a couple weeks,so I may try out some after that.Your hair looks perfect. Love the super light blonde you have happening.
Yay!! So glad you enjoyed seeing all of these hair products and that it gave you some ideas of ones to try after your next cut😊 Thank you for your sweet compliments on my hair! The back is almost completely dark so I’m getting it colored and cut tomorrow and can’t wait!!
I have the enjoy dry wax but it is tricky to use. The hair dryer does help to soften it up a little.
Guess I better try it again. It was nice to hear about the others you presented in video but sounds like ENJOY is on top of the list. You are always so informative. 💖
Enjoy Dry Wax certainly is tricky but still at the top of my list! Hopefully it will start cooperating better for you🥰
I love your hair this length.. Love, love it!!
Awww thank you!!💕
Thank you for sharing this video, Alot of good information. Have a great weekend ♡♡
Yay!! You are most welcome!! Hope you have a terrific weekend too!💕
Love watching these reviews! Thank You for doing them...I need to look up where i can buy Enjoy over here..Blessings Beautiful Sharalee...😘❤️😘
You are welcome!! I know, it can be a hard product to track down internationally...hoping you can find it! Blessings to you too, sweet lady♥️
Amazon has the line of Enjoy!
@@joancrescente1360 Is ENJOY always so expensive? $50 CAD for a container of their dry wax 😳
Thanks for the review. 😊
You're most welcome!💕
Thanks for this review Sharalee. I have tried to style my hair like yours using every product I can find in Australia but seems I might have to bite the bullet and purchase the Enjoy Dry Wax. Will cost me over AU$90 (US$60) but it seems nothing else quite stacks up.
Oh mercy!! I'm so sorry to hear how pricey the Enjoy Dry Wax is for you in Australia!! I do feel like it is unlike any other product out there and I've had so many people tell me that has been their experience with it too. If you just use a tiny amount and don't wash your hair every day, I can tell you it will last you quite a long time!
I started to have short hair, similar to your style as I FINALLY found a good hair dresser and originally found you b/c of your hair videos!! But I really enjoy your makeup tutorials tremendously - as well as you hair tutorials ;) I checked out the wax and it has lots of parabens, bummer. I know it's for the tips only, so maybe I'll grab one as it's not on your scalp. Thanks for your tips and all you went through for testing! Hugs xoxo
Oh I’m so happy you found a good hair stylist!! I understand, wanting to avoid parabens....but as you say, this isn’t something that sits on your skin so maybe there can be exceptions😘 I’m so glad you continue to enjoy my videos....makeup tutorials coming up this week! Blessings, sweet lady💕
Another great video but as long as I can get it , I am gonna stick with Enjoy dry wax !🥰👍🏼
Thank you!! Yes, I'm with you....there will be a BIG protest if they ever stop making Enjoy Dry Wax!!🥰
Thank you for the reviews! Because I've never found a pomade or wax that doesn't have ingredients that I'm sensitive to, I've been making a pomade from scratch. While it works great, I do really miss the great scents of the store bought products! I need to make another batch, so this time I'm going to try grapefruit essential oils for a stronger scent. ☺ Thanks again...great video!
You are welcome! Wow, I never thought about trying to DIY hair pomade! I know what it's like to be sensitive to things and needing to make your own....good for you!! I too love citrus scented products....so refreshing!! I used to add grapefruit, lemon, orange and clove to my DIY face toner😘
As always great video with a lot of information. I have short hair, very straight, very fine but a lot of it. I tried the Enjoy Dry Wax and wanted to love it. . . . .but it just does not work for my hair. I keep going back to BTZ (Beyond The Zone) retro vinyl working paste. Love this stuff. BTZ used to have a spray dry wax which was also great but discontinued (why does that always happen?).Regardless - they then came out with the working paste in a tube sold at Sally's Beauty Supply.
I completely understand...some products work better than others on different hair textures. Sounds like you found a great one....I’ll add that to my list to try next go around! Bummer the spray version was discontinued though....I hate it when that happens!! Thanks for the recommendation!😊
hello my beautiful sharalees, when we find a very good product, there is no dupe it is the GRAAL to have !!!!!!! and for you this hairstyle, this style is your signature and it's really pretty
Awww, thank you, sweet friend! Yes, I am happy to stay with my Enjoy Dry Wax forever!🥰
I haven't been able to get my hands on the Enjoy Dry wax but have started using the Catwalk root boost on your recommendation and I love it. I hate to say it but I really have not found a Garnier product I liked so I will definitely stay away from this one. So hard to find a good styling wax. As always such great information - thank you!! P.S. can you tell I just binge watched your series 😉😘💖
Yes!! I love that you wanted to binge watch my series!💖😘 That's a bummer that you haven't been able to try the Enjoy Dry Wax yet...one of these days, we're going to get you some! Glad you found this helpful, sweet lady♥️
And yes, I've heard of Johnny's Chop Shop, which is usually sold online on many Barbershop websites(and no, I've never used it). ☺️
Yeah, I don't think you are missing out on anything....seems like you've found the perfect duo of products for your hair!😘
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates You are correct, madam!(I'm sounding like Ed McMahon here! 😁) The barber supply website, Williamsport Bowman Barber Supply(www.wbbarber.com), which has their own channel here on RUclips, does sell it online, I think it. Just by looking at it, Johnny's Chop Shop doesn't look too kosher to me, unless you want a super greasy dupe that give your hairstyle a more pronounced look, which I imagine Johnny's Chop Shop does. 😐
I just got my hair cut in a long pixie, it's fun trying new products but I find it's easy to go overboard with the products.
Oh yes! You are right about that! Just because a little works great, doesn't mean a lot is better! And most "hold" products are so concentrated that a little bit goes a very long way!😘
I love your hair and had my daughter who is a hairdresser cute my hair like yours. Have you tried Paul Mitchell dry wax? I searched all the wax products and found this at Ulta and I like it.
I've never tried the Paul Mitchell dry wax....putting it on the list to try next go around! Thanks for the suggestion! Hope you continue to enjoy your new style!😘
Have you ever tried the Bumble and Bumble Sumotech life gloss elastic moulding compound as compared to the Enjoy dry wax. If so how do they compare? I currently use the Sumotech and wear my hair very much like yours for about the past 8 years! Thank you!
No, I haven't tried it but I've just put it on my list!! Hearing descriptive words like "elastic moulding compound" sounds like it's a product that's right up my alley!😘
Great video, wondering if any of those products would work to control fly aways and keep in place? I don't have short hair. Since my hair is not straight it, I don't like it. :) Have a fantastic weekend beautiful!
Thank you and great question! Yes, I do think adding a tiny bit of a wax/pomade to the tips of your fingers and applying it in your "fly away zones" could help with that! Hope you have a fantastic weekend too, sweet lady!❤️
You can find Enjoy Dry Wax, ($18.08) and many other Enjoy hair products on Amazon! Just ordered some to try.
Yes, good old Amazon.....gotta love ‘em😘 For the most part, they are pretty reliable for selling authentic products but I’ve had a couple people get a really old jar that smelled rancid. If that should happen, send it back! Hopefully you love the Enjoy as much as I do!
I have used the Kenra wax and it does okay too
Good to know! I've started a list for my next product trial....will check that one out too!
Would like to have new products for this year, thanks 😊
I love the Enjoy Dry Wax. A little goes a long way. I know this is off topic but do you use a whitening tooth paste? My brand seems to have been discontinued. Thanks so much!
I'm so glad you love the Enjoy Dry Wax too! It's so funny you should ask about teeth products.....I have already filmed and edited a video about what products I use! Will be coming next week but if you promise to watch, I'll give you a little spoiler.....I use the Colgate Optic White 4 Shades Whiter Toothpaste😘
I will definitely watch. Thanks so much!
I searched for the Enjoy Dry Wax down here and got the, “deer in the headlight look from the stylists in the salons.” So I’ll be ordering it from Amazon. Like everything else I need. I love south Texas but it’s a challenge. I did buy a “Style Line” texturizer from Master Cuts and it’s okay. You can work it for a good bit before it drys and I’ll leave it there. :)
Oh I know!! There are SO many stylists even here that have never heard of it or the Enjoy brand.....oh dear😂 I haven’t tried the Master Cuts Texturizer....you’ll have to let me know how you like the Enjoy compared to it😘
I ordered the Enjoy Dry Wax and it is very, very, hard.. Is there a way to make it more pliable?
Would you be willing to review the Jinri blow drying brush? I have a pixie similar to yours. Mine is very thick a course. I ordered one but just can’t get used to it after so many years of using a dryer and brush. I’d love to see you use it. It’s really a fantastic tool, it just maybe takes getting used to.
I will have to check that tool out and give it some thought! I'm letting the top of my hair grow a bit so perhaps a tool like that might work. My hair has been so short that I haven't needed to use a round brush with i. But when my hair was longer, I remember the days of having a round brush in one hand and the blow dryer in the other....takes coordination for sure!😘
Sharalees Box Of Chocolates it is so nice to see someone with a pixie doing products & reviews. Yours is gorgeous. I ordered the Enjoy dry wax and looking forward to trying it. My favorite for years has been Bed Head Manipulator.
Thank you for your kind compliments!🥰 So glad you are enjoying my videos! One of my other viewers just recommended I try the Bed Head Manipulator so I've got that on my list.....in the mean time, hope you love the Enjoy Dry Wax!
I use the got2b also 🥰
I'm glad that one works for you! It's certainly very affordable!
I like Loreal Studio Overworked Hair Putty Texture
Thank you for the recommendation! I'll have to check that out😊
How many Stay on your hair for hours? What's the benefit of being long? Thanks for unswer me🥰
Thanks
You're welcome!
Ok I have a suggestion. I have a hair style like you and use the Enjoy Dry Wax but I wanted to try something else. It's also the: got 2b brand but it's called mess-merizing messyfying putty. I found it on Amazon. It's almost identical to Enjoy. Please give it a try!! 🙂
Oooo, ok!! I'll check that one out! I know, there has to be a very similar product out there somewhere!🥰
I got some of the enjoy dry wax from Amazon, but it has an "old" smell to it, is this normal or did I just get a bad one?
Ooo, I think you may have gotten a bad batch. There shouldn't be hardly any scent at all. You can try again through Amazon or order directly from Enjoy Haircare.....I'll leave a link here, just in case: www.enjoyhaircare.com/shop/system/style/dry-wax/
They also have a salon locator so you can see if there's a salon in your area that sells it😘
Can never find the enjoy dry wax. In the UK on Amerzon says unavailable.
Oh I know, that is such a bummer!
Have you tried the gorilla snot from Walmart or target?
No, I haven't....sounds very sticky though😘
OK Sharalee😀I finally got the enjoy dry wax. I think it works the exact same as TG bed head manipulator Matte. I thought the dry wax would magically cement my hair into place LOL. The TG manipulator Matte works just as good in my opinion. Have you tried it?
Oh really?! Well, I haven't tried the TG Manipulator but I'm adding to my list right now! I'd love to know there is something else out there to compete with Dry Wax😘 Does the TG Manipulator re-emulsify with your hairdryer too? I don't always do "second day hair" but it's nice to know I can if I need to😜
Sharalees Box Of Chocolates I meant TIGI Bedhead not TG😀. TIGI Bedhead Manipulator, 2 oz(2 pack) www.amazon.com/dp/B00JISBJBE/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_0lqEDb0J829RD. I will be interested to see what your take on it is. I sent the enjoy dry wax back only just because I could use the money LOL and continuing to use the bed head. It’s workable as well and you can rework it the next day. Pls Let me know if you try it! Ps, It’s not as hard to get out of the jar-But I really did not see a difference in the use. I thought enjoy would cement my hair
Have you tried Living proof body builder spray? It’s one of the few products that controls my hair it’s pretty Awesome!!!
Pricey but worth it!
Btw my haircut is similar to yours and I spray the body builder to my dry hair , lift and direct it with my fingers and it actually stays where I put it! Something my hair never does! I’ve loved it since the first time I tried it!
@@glojac Thank-you for posting this. I'm having a hard time finding a product that holds my hair in place. Will try this one!
Annie Portier I hope you love it as much as I do! 🥰
No, I haven't tried that one yet! I'll have to add it to my list. Thanks for the recommendation!!😘
Yyor stayle very great
Thanks so much!😊
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates 😍
Iv been using got 2 b spray and spiking paste works good found a coupke more gonna try but my question is have u ever grew your hair out with this style i know u have a video how to style a long pixie but thinking about growing mine out and wanted your opinion or if u can do a live on how i can style n still look good if u can
Good question....I've never completely grown out my pixie. I've certainly had longer versions of it though and talked about how I would grow it out with my stylist. Depending on the style you want to grow it out to, you may start by keeping the perimeter short to allow the layers on top to grow longer. Also, having your stylist do deep point cuts can help with the transition. Growing out short hair definitely takes patience but I think with a little creativity between you and your stylist, you can have some great styles in between too!
Sometimes there's just no dup for what you love, right?! But at least now you have some options!
You are absolutely right!!🥰
Pinaud Clubman hair gels are great, but only if you're a guy and get flat top haircuts!(also Depp Hair Gel is great, too, especially the orange gel one which has a pleasant scent!) 💈✂️😀
Oh yes!! And those are both so affordable too! You guys are so lucky!!😁😉
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates Indeed, we are! 😀
I love your hair videos! About a month ago i decided to order the Enjoy Dry Wax through your link from Amazon. I ordered just what popped up from the link, but what I got is not a wax that is stiff. It is more creamy, almost the texture of the got2b from a tube. The jar looks exactly what you show in your videos, but it is just not a wax that you show. While traveling with it in my suitcase last week, it settled to one side of the jar....so definitely not a stiff wax and not anything I could soften up with a hair dryer...it would turn to liquid.. Have you gotten any enjoy dry wax like this? I was a little disappointed.
Oh no, that definitely is not the real Enjoy Dry Wax! Unfortunately, some of the sellers on Amazon don't sell authentic products so I'm thinking that's what happened. If you are still in the return window, I'd try to get a refund. I'll link the Enjoy website here and you can look to see if there is a local salon that sells it (or you can buy directly from Enjoy). Thank you so much for being a part of my channel!💕
www.enjoyhaircare.com/shop/system/style/dry-wax/
hair is part of it but the whole look is what I think the consumer view too. We all what vitamins and lifestyle work best for all of us, right
That is very true....vitamins, lifestyle, etc do have a tremendous impact!
Shampoo do you use
I rotate between a couple, depending on my hair needs. Here’s a video I did showing each one😘
ruclips.net/video/lNHA_tE07u8/видео.html
Where do you buy your hair products from
The Enjoy Dry Wax I get from my stylist. However, the other hair products I use come from either Ulta, Target or Amazon usually😘
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates Thank you so much
Just love your hair. Getting the under cut soon I hope I can fix it like your hair. .
Have you tried AG Infrastructure? I absolutely love it!
I've not tried that one...will have to put it on my list😊
❤️💕😃
🥰
I have a question for you. How long will the jar of enjoy dry wax last you? Roughly
That is a good question....I usually use it everyday and I would say a jar lasts maybe 2 1/2 to 3 months.
Thank you
The only thing I do not like about the Enjoy Dry Wax is the smell.
As long as you have a "fresh" jar, it actually doesn't have hardly any scent at all. I've had others get sent an old jar and the product smelled rancid.....might see if you can exchange it for another jar and see if it smells better.
I hate smell make allergies go nut like bed head product . I loose it sneeze sneeze. I am going to send note what my beautician use from Aussi land and tell what think. Can ask beautician how she is transition your hair from dark to silver. you showed a video. What stage is she going to take it in. Are you going all silver or gradual as time goes by. What does she use to clarifying shampoo to remove product without losing color? My hair need volume volume. it is flat ,wavy, and fine. Do you use a hair mask weekly? this is for all of us
I am not happy with Got2b products, I would never recommend them to anyone. Or fruitis
I'm glad I'm not the only one that hasn't had any luck with those products😘
