Are there any neutral accounts of all events that occurred? That non-biased baseline would be a good place to start at, and then we could better tell if and where journalists have introduced their own biases.

There may well be bias in the events themselves - specifically there are more (adverse) events which have caused reporters to feel sympathetic happening to Palestinians than Israelis. Given that, I don't think that the conclusions drawn by some commentators in this view are valid.
Reporters, journalists are supposed to report facts, just facts, not their opinion, their emotions, so that we can judge for ourselves without their influence. Comprende? Why not feel sympathetic towards the Israelis? Your slip is showing.
You are quite right in your description that reporters have been "caused to feel sympathectic". You demonstrate, that these reporters are not impartial. They don't even try to be objective but follow their feelings. Mostly, they believe in images, as these are the easiest to report, despite repeated evidence that especialy the Gaza reports are systematically falsified by Hamas, which uses fake journalists to stage them. In the meanwhile, the names of such persons are known. The evidence: Al Jazeera and BBC have been forced to correct their own news reports in public more than once. I think that it is time to create a new and more honest journalism which would admit limited knowledge, if he or she is unable to verify facts on the ground.
@@JulieB-k3h, that's exactly what the BBC does, report facts. That is what these people and some of the supporters of Israel don't like. They want the media to be biased in favour of Israel. Do you seriously not see that?
@@JulieB-k3h It's not about feeling sympathetic to one side or the other but towards those who have suffered the most fatalities (also in disparate events), and in this case that would be Palestinians.
Not saying journalists always do what they should do either.
About not feeling as sympathetic to Israelis - it could be that fewer of them are killed and there are fewer news events that involve killings of Israelis.
When many Israelis were killed, they were killed during a shorter time period, meaning there were fewer news stories (distinct events) to report on.

Ask yourself, why does Hamas build tunnels to hide in but no bomb shelters for citizens? It could be that only palestinian "journalists" have been allowed to report directly from Gaza.

Interesting until the BBC journalists were presented as « marxists ». One could have said that « they lean on ideas of the left (or on deconstructivism, or even « wokism » - a catch word now, that englobes so many trends that it does not clarify any position) ». But the word « marxist » refers to a very precise type of concepts and an extremely sophisticated method of social analysis and economic theories, most often misunderstood by its own proponents. Calling anybody with sympathies for the left « marxist » is proving poor vocabulary or poor knowledge.
